@@sleeperino3054it is absolutely blues. Blues is an outgrowth of ragtime guitar playing. The earliest styles of blues have this ragtimey-jazzy-country-bouncy sound because all of those genres were still more closely related at that time.

@@MyInsanityPersonafiedlol it does sound like blues. It doesn’t sound like Delta Blues and Electric Blues that most are used to. People assume the Delta style is the original and it is not, it is simply the most popular. Piedmont Blues is an excellent example that sounds very distinct from Delta Blues but is very clearly bluesy.

I mean the band basically was just the dark mirror image of Led Zeppelin.

@@LordBackuro what is the point you are trying to make? That Sabbath is a blues band? Just because the music is based off of blues principles in places does not make them a blues band. How in the hell is Sabbath a mirror to Zeppelin? The only thing they have in common is roots in blues and you can say that about literally any rock or metal band.

And, as far as his SRV comment, that is HIS opinion. Now, as far as actually learning their songs, COPYRIGHT CLAIMS, remember?
