Mini Lunch Box Cakes. Easy even for beginners! Easy Recipe!

  • Hello everyone! Welcome to GomS' Easy Baking.
    Today's video features adorable mini lunch box cakes that are perfect for gifting!
    I've prepared three delicious flavors: Strawberry, Oreo, and Chocolate Cake.
    These mini-sized cakes are hassle-free to make and excellent for presents.
    I've simplified the process using minimal tools and easy steps, so even beginners can bake with ease.
    One of the trickiest parts of cake making is the icing (decorating the cake's exterior with cream) as it can be challenging and time-consuming.
    So, I've made sure that these cakes look beautiful even if you're not an expert in icing.
    And of course, they taste fantastic! I dare say, even better than what you'll find in most bakeries 😄
    Though cake baking involves several steps, don't be intimidated.
    Just follow the video slowly and you'll do great.

    | Measurements |
    Paper Cup = Standard paper cup (180ml capacity)
    Spoon = Standard disposable spoon size
    Please refer to the video for measurements.
    Oven - Preheat to 180°C for 15 minutes, then bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
    Air Fryer - Preheat for 5 minutes, then bake at 160°C for 20 minutes.
    [ Basic Cake Layer ]
    1cm height, 4-5 layers x 2 (total 8-10 layers)
    (High mini round mold - Diameter 10cm, Height 7cm)
    Eggs 2 (100g)
    Sugar half cup (60g)
    Cake flour half cup (60g)
    Cooking oil 3 spoons (20g)
    Milk 2 spoons (20g)
    Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon (3g)
    A pinch of salt (1g)
    [ Chocolate Cake Layer ]
    + Cocoa powder 1.5 teaspoons (6g)
    Reduce the amount of cake flour to 54g.
    [ Cake Layer Syrup ] (for 1 cake)
    Sugar 1 spoon (10g)
    Water 2 spoons (20g)
    [ Cream for Icing ] (for 1 cake)
    Whipping cream or heavy cream one cup (150g)
    Sugar 1 and a half spoons (15g)
    [ Chocolate Whipping Cream ] (for 1 cake)
    Heavy cream (for ganache), 50g
    Dark chocolate 50g
    Heavy cream (for whipping), 100g
    [ Decorations ] (for 1 cake)
    Strawberries 6-8 pieces
    Oreos 3 for layering,
    3 for decoration
    (Remove cream before use)
    * Cooking oil can be substituted with butter.
    * Sugar is irreplaceable.
    * Cake flour can be substituted with all-purpose flour.
    * Milk can be substituted with water or soy milk.
    * Vanilla extract is optional.
    * Heavy cream can be substituted with whipping cream.
    * Tools Used *
    Spatula (12cm), Slicing guide, Piping bag, Whisk
    6-star nozzle (D6K)
    Circle nozzle 1.8cm diameter (809)
    Nozzles and piping bags are also available at budget stores such as Daiso.
    * Packaging Containers *
    Pulp square lunch box container 14x15x8cm
    Picnic lunch box container 14x13x6cm (I used ones from Daiso)
    * Storage Methods *
    Tastes best after maturing in the refrigerator for a day.
    Refrigerate (5-7 days)
    For long-term storage, freeze (up to 30 days).
    * Baking Tips *
    1. If you want to make only one cake, halve the measurements.
    2. Depending on the finish, you can get 4-5 cake layers.
    3. It's better to prepare the cake layers a day ahead for room temperature maturing.
    4. Be cautious not to over-whip the cream as it can easily separate.
    Whip to a nice volume and then finish at a low speed.
    5. Keep the cream cold during whipping to prevent separation.
    Place the cream in the freezer 30 minutes before use or use ice packs.
    6. If whipping cream is challenging, add 10-20% non-dairy whipping cream.
    7. Keep the icing process short and quick. The more you touch it, the more the cream tends to spoil.
    8. Cool the ganache thoroughly before combining with the cream to prevent separation.

      잘 보고 계주신다니 정말 감사합니다!❤️
      생크림 칠때는 처음에는 속도를 5단 중에 4단으로 해주다가 휘퍼 지나간 자국이나 주름이 생기기 시작하고 부피가 풍성해지고 묵직해지면 1단으로 내려서 천천히 휘핑해 주시면서 휘핑상태를 체크하시는게 좋습니다! 생크림의 경우 조금이라도 오버 휘핑을 할 경우 금방 분리가 나기 때문에 속도를 줄여 주셔야 합니다!☺️

      스패출러가 없으시면 나이프나 숟가락으로도 가능합니다! 아이싱을 잘 못하여도 나중에 딸기로 가리거나 오레오 가루로 가리면 됩니다ㅎㅎ 각봉이 없어도 높이만 비슷하게 슬라이스 해주시면 됩니다 이쑤시개를 케이크 시트에 꽂아 높이를 표시해가면서 썰어 주시면 각봉 없이도 충분히 가능합니다!
      네! 손으로 휘핑시 저속은 아래에서 위로 퍼 올리듯이 살살 섞어 주시면 됩니다!

    저는 16cm?? 작은 원형틀에 1.5배로 했는데 조금 낮은가 싶었는데 완성하고보니 완벽했어용!! 모양은 곰쓰님만큼 예쁘게는 못했지만 진짜 너무 맛있었고 케이크 안좋아하는 남편도 세조각이나 먹었어요😋 좋은 레시피 항상 감사합니다!!

    기념일에 케이크 만들려구 이 영상만 10번 넘게 보면서 디자인을 생각중인데요..!!
    맨처음 만드신 딸기 생크림 케이크에 위에 데코는 초코 생크림으로 곰돌이🐻 데코를 생각중입니다 !
    마지막에 초코 케이크 만드신 레시피대로 하기에는 아이싱 1개 분량이라... 양이 애매할 거 같은데 데코용으로 사용할만한 계량 레시피가 있을까요....??🥹🥹
    아니면 생크림 남은거에 코코아파우더 채쳐서 넣어도 될까여...

      노른자 휘핑과 흰자 휘핑은 오래해도 괜찮고요! 노른자를 흰자에 섞을 때 오래 휘핑할 경우 거품이 꺼지기 때문에 저속으로 노른자가 흰자에 섞인 정도가 되면은 멈추는게 좋습니다!☺️

      안녕하세요! 항상 영상 잘봐주신다니 정말 감사합니다❤️ 세트로 묶어서 파는 제품 보다는 각각 따로 사시는걸 추천드립니다! 생각보다 구매하고서 사용 안하는것이 많더라고요ㅎㅎ 그래서 저는 요즘엔 당장 사용할 도구가 아니라면 구매하지 않고 있습니다☺️
      케이크 입문용으로 추천할만한 도구는 핸드믹서, 스텐 또는 내열유리 믹싱볼(사이즈- 소1,중2), 실리콘주걱 2개(소1,중1) 손잡이 달린 체망(구멍사이즈가 너무 촘촘하거나 넓지 않은것), 손거품기(날 부분이 단단한것), 실리콘 붓, 짤주머니, 많이 사용하는 깍지 5가지, 유산지, 오븐용온도계, 오븐장갑, 식힘망, 케이크원형틀(높은원형1호틀,미니원형틀), 각봉, 빵칼(톱니형), 스패츌러(중1),돌림판(저렴한걸로 추천) 이 정도면 웬만한 케이크는 만드실 수 있습니다☺️

    Hi, I just made this! Very very tasty.
    I found some of the measurements confusing as the spoon measurements didn't match the grams so i just used grams, though is is odd to measure liquids in grams, usually you would use milliliters, for volume, as different liquids have different weights, so I wonder if that was intentional choice or if the transcription/translation was mixed up.
    They turned out pretty perfect though so I can't complain.

      Certainly, using a digital scale for precise measurement is ideal. However, in Korea, scales are not widespread in every household. Thus, for reference, one can use disposable spoons and ice cream teaspoons commonly found in homes for measurement. This is a simpler method, though it comes with the downside of being less accurate. For liquids, grams and milliliters are nearly equivalent, with 1ml equaling 1g. Therefore, grams are used for liquids. Thank you for your interest in the video and for your valuable feedback!       안녕하세요! 잘보고 계주신다니 정말 감사합니다!😆❤️❤️ 바닐라익스트랙이랑 레몬즙은 대체하기에는 향이 많이 다르고 비린맛을 제거하기에는 큰 효과는 없기 때문에 바닐라익스트랙이 없으시다면 레몬즙으로 대체하기 보다는 그냥 생략해 주셔도 됩니다! 아니면 레몬즙이 아닌 레몬제스트(레몬껍질)로 대체 하는 것은 좋습니다☺️
