Seeing a "meager" manure spreader treated to quality craftmanship by someone that truly cares for their livelihood is awesome. Pete thanks to you and your family for bringing us on your journey and allowing us to learn and experience a simpler life. I'm sure there are lots of us viewers that would love to quit the rat race and get back to living and working like you do.
Who would have thought that rebuilding a manure spreader would make quality television? Thanks Pete. It was great to meet you at market and take your picture. Ken an Chantelle
It's amazing to think that 150,000 people (the size of Rochester, MN all watched Pete work on restoring this new holland 514 spreader. It was fun to watch this video & thousands of others obviously enjoyed it too just as much as me
My three year olds favorite video WAS the one where you and your wife catch the turkeys. We watched it about 500 times. His new favorite video is the manure spreader video. We have a six acre homestead and have been thinking to purchase a manure spreader. My son wants to paint the new to us manure spreader red, just like "farmer Pete". You are having an impact on the future generations of farmers. Keep up the good work, Farmer Pete.
I knew it, I knew it! Lol, I told my wife there is NO way Pete doesn't repaint the whole trailer. He is just not a half ass kind of guy. 😂😂. It looks fantastic, Pete. Thanks for the update. Have a beautiful week
Same here. I absolutely knew that you're OCD about such things and the spreader would look and function like new when you were done. When you dump the first load of manure into this beauty will there be a slight pang of regret that this recreated beauty is sullied?
I laughed when you first said you weren't going to paint the whole spreader. I knew you would though. Very impressive wood deck job you did. That spreader should be a good implement for the farm a long time. Thank you for the trouble to film it for us. Ken
I'm a 74-year-old city female. I always thought I would have enjoyed being a farmer but never got the chance. Now I realize that since I enjoy watching you repair a manure spreader, I may have missed my calling. Ah well, in the next life, thanks for all the farming adventures you share. I just love watching, by the way, beautiful job.
Hi: you can still start today with just a couple of potted tomato or pepper plants. Lord willing, this spring I put in the first garden for the rest of my life (retied). It doesn't have to be a large farm to be a farmer. (a couple plants in the back yard).
It’s a labor of love when you are working on a manure spreader. It now looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor if there is a showroom floor for this type of equipment.
I am a 27 year old lady, who just bought 13.5 acres and I put a modular house on it in parish NY and the only animals I have is a Corgi and a cat, and I never thought I’d be so invested in a manure spreader Reno, yet here I am!🤣 Great job Pete!
Never in the history of the world of farming have truer words ever ben said than "It's just a manure spreader". I can't recall how many times my cousin and I have have said that to each other while being "better than new" particular in our maintenance and repair of just about every thing else around the farm.
There is a family story often told. My father had builders building a new diary. He heard one of them say "Its only a shed". Well, he stopped work and held a site meeting and put them streight that it was his place of work and he demanded it was built with care and good workmanship. Nothing less. Not just a shed. That was in 1967 my hand print is in the concrete foundation. I am 56
Pete, Always a pleasure watching you breathe new life to vintage farm equipment. In Maine we just passed a referendum on the "right to repair" the new digitally complex equipment. In the analog days you not only didn't need the "right" you were expected to repair your own equipment!
I remember when I was a young kid on the dairy farm when my dad bought his first power take off manure spreader. He said it revolutionized the manure business on our farm because when the snow was too deep to spread the manure he could just back off the road and let it go into a pile. Then in the spring he loaded it back into the John Deere model 33 spreader with the Farmall Super C and spread it. Thank you Pete for entertaining me with you great videos. My Grand Dad said manure is like money, it's only good if you spread it around.
Yay, part 2!! The spreader looks so beautiful, glad you decided to paint it. It was so nice to meet you yesterday! Thank you for signing your book. I was definitely star struck haha. Keep up the awesome work :)
Enjoyed the restorative fabrication, Pete! Thanks. I am a dairy farmer who has hauled manure daily for 40+ years now and am extremely familiar with manure spreaders. Thanks for saving the New Holland example for another 40 years of service. Excellent work.
HI Pete we love ur show watch every episode an follow you an hilary think your place is fantastic and what you do an all that you show us Jill an i love you guys thanks m,ate from sunny Queensland Australia.. Keep up the good farming mate. oi oi oi .
Pete, I think we all knew the outside of that spread was getting painted. LOL! It's not like you to leave things unfinished. Thanks for sharing your project.
I'm Amazed 👏, your an Encredable Man!! I am Voting you in for "The President OF THESE United States "!! Yup!! 😊. All I can say is your Ancestors are Soo Proud of You and your family!!❤❤🎉🎉!! Blessings 🙌 to each one of you!! Thank you for being our teacher!!
Never have I seen a machine solely dedicated to flinging poop be so thoroughly and lovingly treated. It’s great. Also I love the “subtle as a brick through glass” method of getting the tyre off. Thank you Pete. Love to you and all the family.
Thanks, Pete and Hillarie. Did you ever do an excellent job on your new manure spreader! You know, (and I don't know if, like most of what you do, Pete- self-taught and curiosity - probably the best teachers ever) you have such a knack at properly positioning your camera. Everything is so clear and, you anticipate exactly what you see with your own eyes for the camera to do its best. You change angles and move often. You are a really good camera man. The quality of your videos is always excellent. Thank you. I have watched this video two or three times...it is just informative and quite frankly, because of you demeanour, very entertaining. Entertaining therapeutic...like in a very positive way. Thank you very much. M. Coderre Saskatchewan
Thanks Pete for some common sense in an upside down world. I enjoy you because I’m only 65 but I’ve had 27 surgeries and I’m unable to do the projects that I have always enjoyed doing.
I never thought I would watch a video on manure spreader maintenance and repair, but I will be the first to admit I found it very interesting and truly enjoy your ability to repair and solution for needed repairs. Can’t wait to see the finished product as well a the first use!
Thank you, Hilarie and Pete! A new video from you is very welcome indeed! It appears that you're doing an excellent careful one-step-at-a-time rebuild of this manure spreader and it will distribute old feces as good as a new machine! There's nothing quite like that deep red of your farm equipment. It's great that you made your own tongue-and-groove pressure treated floor. God willing, it will last a good long time, and should, with the care you're giving it as you're rebuilding it. Those old sprockets really show their age and wear! Thanks again for posting this video - I treasure any video you publish as your delivery and care that you take is apparent and appreciated.
Everyone knew you wouldn’t do it half way ( I don’t know if I’ll paint the whole thing) . It’s nice to watch some one who cares about the finished product . Great video Pete . Thanks for taking us along . God bless
When I saw you were thinking about leaving it the way it was in your previous video, I figured you’d sleep on it and decide to finish it all. Beautiful work, as always.
My comment to you sire is, I don't think there are too many jobs on your farm that you can't do. It is amazing over the years how many jobs we learn to do! thanks for the video.
Pete, we will see the farm chores the rest of the year, but it so great to see you maintaining your equipment. Love every minute of the videos…👍🏻❣️👍🏻❣️👍🏻❣️
There's always an Ernie who'll say "yup we can do it." Life would be a lot harder without those Ernies. The spreader is progressing well and makes for great video.
Pete, I'm currently going through a change in life and employment, somewhat like you tell of before you started farming. I mention it because it's important to me to thank you for sharing your story, and thank you for being such a positive individual. your videos always seem to help wind myself down. much appreciated!
Pete your engineering skills are amazing, and I'm always impressed by your ability to find a solution to a need. Who would have thought to use a tractor bucket to break the seal on a tyre 😁 Yes it's great seeing the animals, but seeing you and Hillary work on all the other jobs around the farm is very interesting too. Always look forward to your videos from the other side of the world. 😊
Hey Pete, it's been great seeing your progress with the manure wagon . I like the paint job. Can't wait to see you flinging manure next week! Hope you can stay busy.
Thank goodness for all the Ernies in the world. I really enjoy your videos Pete. Nice of Hillary to bring you gifts. It's going to be a beautiful spreader.
Timely video for me Pete. I'm in the middle of restoring a 4 x 8 trailer and those trailer deck screws you're using are the exact thing I didn't know I needed till now. Thanks!
Awwww...... I can relax now, as Pete painted the entire spreader! I just knew he would and it looks great, Pete. You've done such a wonderful job, that it's actually too nice to do, what it's meant to doo-doo! Sorry, I've been listening to too many of your jokes, I guess. As always, an excellent video and thanks for sharing.
Good morning Mr and Mrs Pete😊 like everyone I knew the end result will be showroom grand 🎉 coffee cheers to y'all and to Ernie 🤠 (umm, the machine?) 😅. Have a wonderful and blessed week 🌄🌹🙏🔥
It’s amazing how just a coat of paint can make your poop wagon chucker look so much nicer. Be a shame to use it now. Lol. I really like watching you fix things. Thanks for sharing this project Pete.
Time well spent! Since manure is the best thing that God ever made, a Manure Spreader should be as lovingly maintained as any tractor. Which yours are! Thank-you! Decals . . . Mmmm!
Watching you work on those tires, makes me want to sneak into a certain shop and watch my daughter work. She is on her first year of shop experience for the final step of her ASE certification. She loves it. And she has good coworkers too.
I just love what you do with all your machinery . I refurbish a lot of my equipment . My kids and spouse always say oh dad why don't you get a new one? I'm 71 and all my stuff will be just fine it's old but better built than most of the new crap I've seen out there . I have even repacked sealed bearings on my mower deck and snowblower idler wheel saved me a lot of cha ching !!
Good morning Pete & family. Nice job on ms as usual. Great vista with harvesting next door. Hoping for a tractor restoration in the near future. I learn something new from every video. Hope you have a great week.
Don't worry about not showing the critters. What got me started watching your channel was the tractor restorations but I'll be darned if the critters didn't suck me in and now I like them too. I enjoy seeing the entire operation of the farm and the balance of subjects you show is good.
The whole summer awaited manure spreader repair video. Here in Finland, small farms used to have universal trailers that were able to spread manure and drive fresh hay and even sugar beet with various attachments.
Pete, you may have the worlds only tongue-n-groove 'nure' spreader. As always another great job 'almost out' of the Larson shop. Keep up the good work on your family, animal, machinery and building sides. JimM

Well worth the wait! Thanks for inviting me to watch the hard work. I have to say I enjoy that better than doing it.
Always better to sip coffee & watch an expert CRAFTMAN show his skills!
Well said - I couldn't say anymore. Have a great week everybody!
I would ❤
You put it so well maybe the next life tho at 66 I feel like I could go at least another 20 just not farming
Who would have thought that rebuilding a manure spreader would make quality television? Thanks Pete. It was great to meet you at market and take your picture. Ken an Chantelle

Yes!
I never dreamed i would watch a farmer rebuild a manure speader, but here i am. I enjoyed it very much.
Thanks for sharing Pete 👍👍✌️

Great job Pete!
The manure spreader is looking real nice Pete
Who knew? I just spent over a half hour of my time watching a man repair a manure spreader, of all things, and…..I enjoyed it immensely!
Soon people will be saying, “There goes Pete with his new manure spreader. He’s so fancy!” 💙
You missed your calling in life, in my opinion, you would have been a fantastic high school shop teacher. Have a great day!
As a Bulgarian I am so proud that you got the decals. Actually surprised by that !
Love the videos, keep up the good work.
You are such a craftsman.

Loved the smile on your face as you pulled out the saw horses from inside the bush.

I just think it’s so cool to see older machinery get new life! Thanks for sharing Pete.
Pete we love the little side trip you take from the animals. Everyone needs a break every now and then. It's okay.
Thanks Pete. I find your vides both inspirational and good relaxation.
As a wood worker you did a great job on the wood. I have seen people have Les pride in their work on a floor they're walking on. ❤❤❤

That's the best looking manure spreader around and that ain't no crap....seriously though Pete...great job!
So happy to see you again! The blades resemble moose antlers!
Thoroughly enjoying the videos Pete, and as always enjoyed seeing Hilary

Beautiful job. Farming is just as much a brain exercise as any other job. Thank you for taking us along.
Lol I knew that you’d paint the rest of the trailer Pete you’re to much of a perfectionist brilliant work as always 😊
Popping the tire off the rim with your tractor- never seen that before! This is satisfying to watch. Thanks, Pete.
Really enjoying this spreader refurb video series. Thanks for letting us watch over your shoulder, Pete.
I so enjoy watching you restore your equipment. The new anything is not made with quality.
Hey Pete, it's been great seeing your progress with the manure wagon . I like the paint job. Can't wait to see you flinging manure next week! Hope you can stay busy.
I never thought I would enjoy seeing a manure spreader refurbished!!!
Thank goodness for all the Ernies in the world.
I really enjoy your videos Pete. Nice of Hillary to bring you gifts.
It's going to be a beautiful spreader.
Thankfully you painted it. Karen’s OCD is resolved.🎉
Mark Fay
Timely video for me Pete. I'm in the middle of restoring a 4 x 8 trailer and those trailer deck screws you're using are the exact thing I didn't know I needed till now. Thanks!
Best looking spreader in the county, G' morning to ya.
Awwww...... I can relax now, as Pete painted the entire spreader! I just knew he would and it looks great, Pete. Good morning Mr and Mrs Pete😊 like everyone I knew the end result will be showroom grand 🎉 coffee cheers to y'all and to Ernie 🤠 (umm, the machine?) 😅. Have a wonderful and blessed week 🌄🌹🙏🔥
Your spreader is a masterpiece it should last like you say the rest of your life. Good day
This is how ones equipment lasts for years with very few problems..! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
It’s amazing how just a coat of paint can make your poop wagon chucker look so much nicer. Be a shame to use it now. Lol. I really like watching you fix things. Thanks for sharing this project Pete.

I love when you rebuild your equipment. Great job.

I love every minute Pete!! Every farmer should have a Ernie pal ! Very Funny!!
Where else am I going to go to see someone work on a manure wagon? Thanks Pete.
Nice "Politician" wagon Pete!
Your restorations are amazing! Keep spreading the...err videos, yes. :)
Good morning Pete & family. Nice job on ms as usual. Great vista with harvesting next door. Hoping for a tractor restoration in the near future. I learn something new from every video. Hope you have a great week.

The amount of knowledge that this gentleman puts out is incredible. I don't own a tractor and it wants me to buy one.
looks great Pete. I love your attention to detail. Thanks for sharing.
The whole summer awaited manure spreader repair video. Here in Finland, small farms used to have universal trailers that were able to spread manure and drive fresh hay and even sugar beet with various attachments.
I do miss the animals, but I also love renovation projects. It mixes things up a bit...LOVE IT!
Pete, you may have the worlds only tongue-n-groove 'nure' spreader. As always another great job 'almost out' of the Larson shop. Keep up the good work on your family, animal, machinery and building sides. JimM
Really neat seeing the fabrication! Looks good!
Keep Smilin!!!!
I love the fact that Pete has a little farm and his neighbors are running the same size Kinze grain cart as my family does on a 5000 acre farm.
Thanks, Pete, for painting the entire spreader box. Great work.
The nice thing about working on a manure spreader is that if it looks like crap, well it’s supposed to, it’s a manure spreader!
Mmm great, spiffy job. Lots of Red equipment
HAPPY DEEPAWALI, THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, PETER... LOVE UR TUBES. ALL THE BEST.
Loved watching you repair the speadder
