Great tips about scissors, Jean! Thank you.
Great info on scissors! Enjoyed the video!
Glad to hear your getting better. Thanks for the information on scissors/shears
So pleased to see you using these scissors, I was fortunate to receive both embroidery and dress making scissors for Christmas , wouldn’t use any others they are excellent.
Hubby even got my name engraved on the dressmaking ones.
Wonderful!
I am truly enjoying your videos. I have been stitching for years, but I never knew any other stitchers. So I have just been winging it. You give such a wealth of information. It has been so helpful and I work to improve my craft more and more. America Land That We Love is on my list of projects to stitch. Thank You Happy Stitching and Happy Designing 😊❤
Thanks for your kind words!
Love your videos , the scissors are made in my nearest town 🇬🇧
I was hoping to visit next summer when I am in the UK but it's not near any of our ports of call!
@@JeanFarishNeedleworks if ever you make it to Sheffield, not far away is Hardwick Hall they have amazing 16th century embroidery and tapestries
Thank you Jean for the video. I use those tiny multicoloured ones with its own sheath anytime my stitching leaves the house with me. My good scissors as I call them remain in the house with me and no-one is allowed to borrow them. My ex did once mm enough said😂😂 I have my mothers scissors which still cut beautifully and she has been gone many years now. I also use Whiteley scissors and love them. As a beader I use beading scissors to cut metallic thread as they are made to cut metallic stringing material.
Thanks, Jean! I hope your PT continues to go well and that you'll soon have one of those breakthrough sessions where suddenly you can do something you couldn't do last week.
I had never seen a thorough explanation of what to look for in embroidery scissors and it was certainly eye-opening. I use a pair that I picked up at one of the Big Box craft stores. They are made by a company well-known for their huge range of floss colors, based in Europe. They are < 4 inches long, and seem thin, but the blades no longer look narrow to me, and the tips are nowhere near as pointed as I thought they were. Fortunately, I have a birthday approaching in about a month!
(Edit: oops, now I will have to find a hiding place for my Epaulette scissors when they arrive. )
Love your digressing. I well remember those huge brass cash registers with the buttons. So much of our childhood has slipped away. Believe that's why I enjoy cross stitching, attempting to quilt, n want to learn to crochet. Ty for an old memory, and taking time to provide we stitchers information! ❤
So true!
Great FlossTube episode! I appreciate your needlework recommendations. I hope you continue to offer your recommendations. I bought a pair of Big Bows from your Etsy shop because the one I wanted was sold out. I hope you will reorder more scissors. Cohana scissors seem very popular, but they are too expensive for me. If I lost them, I would be upset! Lol
I added a pre-order listing for the sold-out scissors. If you are interested, you can get "first dibs" on the ones I just ordered.

Thank you for sharing the information 😊
I love that stocking!!! I need a get scissor for handanger
I enjoyed your information on scissors. Made me start to wonder where all my scissors are.😅 my tried and true are in my current bag. They are made in Italy and perfect for me. Stay well and continue to heal.❤
Once you find the pair that meets your needs ... that's a win!
Found your shop and ordered the scissors - always looking for good recommendations - thanks again
Glad you like them!
Thanks Jean. Ordered the rose gold.
Thanks!
Hi Jean! Thank you for this informative and helpful video! Question: Do you ever get your scissors sharpened? If so, where do you take them? Thank you in advance for any insights. Wishing you continued recovery from your surgery. -Carolyn
I had a pair of Ginghers sharpened at the factory. I would be very careful choosing a sharpener for my scissors.
hi jean, thanks for the info on scissors. the pair i'm using is actually meant for tying fishing flies. it was available to me in the catalog for my 15th anniversary of employment, so the price was right. could you explain in another video why good scissors are so important? I'm just snipping threads, after all 🤔
I sure will!
Jean, thanks so much for the valuable information about TSA and scissors...safe travels...best wishes and happy stitching ❤❤
Good morning Jean. The link to your Etsy shop didn't work (at least for me). Could not find the scissors on your shop.
Thanks for the heads up ... I added a direct link.
Could not find the scissors in your store.

I thought embroidery scissors had curved blades.
There are people who prefer them. I'm not a fan.
