I am fortunate to have found a local group that meets monthly in my general area, which is just getting me more excited about October and an entire weekend of stitch related fun!
I am so glad that you made this video. I live in Savannah Georgia, and I am 81 years old and don’t travel much anymore but I’ve always wanted to go to a retreat. And like you mentioned, I don’t have any Stitching friends near me. Can’t even find people who are interested in any kind of needlework. So I’ve always been afraid to go to these things and wind up sitting there alone. Well, thanks to your video if there is ever a retreat within the surrounding states, I would definitely consider going. I am wondering if there is some kind of a site I can go to that would give the list of retreats for this year.
Depending on what you consider close by, there is a semi annual retreat in Surfside Beach (south of Myrtle Beach) hosted by Barefoot Needleart. I've been to one that they organized and was impressed by how well it was done.
