I think stitchers are some of the friendliest and kindest people you can meet. Thanks for the follow up on Stitch North. I will consider going to that.

HOW FUN that Jennifer brought that project!! What a great connection. I think that stitchers oohing and aahing over each other's projects is one of my favourite things about retreats!

What a great event, and how lovely you are sharing your experience with us. I'm going to my first retreat in many years this October in Canada. I am fortunate to have found a local group that meets monthly in my general area, which is just getting me more excited about October and an entire weekend of stitch related fun!

It was so nice to meet you in person! I met so many great people and new friends 😊. Hoping maybe to see you there again next year? If not before ❤

Glad you had a good time at Stitch North. :) I wanted to go next year, but it's not over my Spring Break. Oh well...next time. :)

I haven't been to a retreat yet, but this video maybe talked me into one. A smaller one. Have a great day.

I am so glad that you made this video. I live in Savannah Georgia, and I am 81 years old and don’t travel much anymore but I’ve always wanted to go to a retreat. And like you mentioned, I don’t have any Stitching friends near me. Can’t even find people who are interested in any kind of needlework. So I’ve always been afraid to go to these things and wind up sitting there alone. Well, thanks to your video if there is ever a retreat within the surrounding states, I would definitely consider going. I am wondering if there is some kind of a site I can go to that would give the list of retreats for this year.

Depending on what you consider close by, there is a semi annual retreat in Surfside Beach (south of Myrtle Beach) hosted by Barefoot Needleart. I've been to one that they organized and was impressed by how well it was done. Many of my friends are returning to it and I hope to do so, too.

And there is a Facebook group where organizers can list their events:

If you would be interested in a stitching cruise, visit Stitchers' Escapes, which I organize:

Sign up for our newsletter and we'll let you know when we have a new cruise.

Thank you for the call out, Jean. Both in progress Roxy samplers are stitched on 40ct. I really have to get back to it.
