Jean, your hoop wrapping was so neat. I do wrap my hoops, but am going to try wrapping both the outside and inside hoop. Thank you, as always, for your information sharing.

Hi Jean! you made me laugh out loud, wondering where i live! I retired to western washington with my husband in July, 2022. We built a house in the fir and cedar forest of the Pacific Northwest. Due to the slope of our lot, our deck is 20 feet off the ground at its highest! when weather permits, i sit on the deck and stitch. I have been eye-level with western warblers picking insects out of the moss on the limbs, sapsuckers and woodpeckers as they tap out holes in the trees, ravens circle the sky above me, little nuthatches pick seeds off the deck railing, undeterred by me closeness. it's heaven! take care, hope you had a great thanksgiving with family! terri

I was hoping it was something like that! I once lived in a house in the woods on a sloping lot and it DID feel like living in a tree house!

Thank you for the video visit today. A few weeks ago, I was frustrated with some over-one stitching I as the loose weave of the linen was defeating me. After ripping out stitches for the second time, I checked your channel, re-watched video #15 and successfully completed my over-one stitches by recognizing the dominant threads and setting the stitches to have the thread behind the stitch run parallel to it so the stitches no longer slipped behind the fabric threads. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy cookie baking!

Never heard of wrapping a hoop before, but what a great idea! I haven't stitching with a hoop in over twenty years, but my grandmother did and she always lined the hoop with tissue paper, which is kind of the same idea.

I took a class at the Royal School of Needlework, and we were required to wrap both top and bottom hoops. We could use (American) muslin, if we wished. It gets a little “hairy” with use, but it’s completely functional.

Jean if you have a place that you would not ever move the table cloth I would paint the wall the size of the piece behind it. That way you could have the effect that you want. No one would need to know and it’s only paint that can be repainted if you don’t want it. It’s a beautiful piece!

The best part of home baked cookies is the real ingredients especially butter. I usually max out at three different kinds. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you so much for your informative and helpful videos. I appreciate your thoughtful approach and generosity in sharing your experience.
I really want to purchase some of your scissors, but having trouble choosing :)! Would it be possible for you to post a pic of all the scissors together? I’m having trouble seeing the difference in color between the gold and rose gold.

If you scroll through the photos in the listing, there is one of the gold and rose gold scissors side by side. Basically, the traditional gold scissors have a yellow glow and the rose gold have a pink glow to them. I hope this helps. But next week, I can show them together when I make the video.

Maybe a drop of fabric glue at the end of the wrapping to avoid the 'fussynes' of the clips.

I used glue on the one with twill tape so I wanted to show the hand sewing method on this one. A few drops of glue is definitely easier!

I have an itch to design something from scratch. Graph paper seems a bit tedious in the digital age. Do you use a computer program to create your designs?
