- John Brittas demanded that health should be made a fundamental right during the debate on the Right to Health Bill in the Rajya Sabha. We do not intend to politicize this issue. Health sector should be given due consideration. The Union Health Minister cannot function. Due to lack of resources. He should ask the leadership to allocate more money.

True, I just went and bought medicines for my aged mother from the nearby Public Health Centre today, we only need to take a 5 rupee token there and for minors, even the 5 rupee fee is waivered off.
If I were to go visit a private hospital and get the same medicines, it would cost me atleast 1500 rupees. Public health services in Kerala is a blessing to the people and this is something that all governments should do for its citizens. Health care should be made a right.

And the so called ethical Mr Brittas had his wife deputed to senior post to the Kerala Rail project for construction of bullet train which was vehemently opposed by the public. such hypocrites are the new age leftists worse than the idiotic right and HW like news portal won't understand it.

Many still don't know that development is not about skyscrapers and multi-national companies, but about providing basic human needs like road, water, food, shelter, work and helath to every citizen.

Kerala as a state geographically not good for large industries since it's very densely populated, cost of labour is very high, and have very strict environment policy's due to its geography and western guts. So Kerala more focused on service sectors like IT industry, Tourism non polluting industries etc.
The Kerala is more focused on its citizens education and health care and it's equal opportunity to everyone that can create good return on other terms to economy of Kerala and India, like most of citizens are expacts working on other countries that will eventually create more foreign reserves to the government etc.
There are still more things to be achieved but the as of now the basement is strong.

My experience in giving initial injections to my grand daughter was super. I only availed the free facility for about 4 months thereafter we moved to Bangalore were further dose of injection is taken from private hospital. The approach and care of Municipal Hospital Muvatupuzha was super. My brother told me Privom Municipal Hospital also very good for infants injection etc

Being a malayali, I can confirm that Kerala is good in the healthcare sector.
But, a big but, there are other areas where it has to get better. The state is not good for industrial sector. I am from Palakkad and I remember we used to have lot of companies at Kanjikode area. Now most of them shut or moved to other states, due to labour parties. This ruling govt is adamant on public sector companies, even it is running on loss. Such sector should be given to private companies.
KeralaSRTC is prime example. New minister Ganesh Kumar is better than his predecessors though.
Also the state has the highest road tax and fuel tax. I often teavel between Bangalore and Palakkad.
