The Smantha that has the 2008 body tag had to be released in the early mid 2000s. Her box is the 2d variation of boxes that mattel had made for the dolls. My guess would be around 2002-2006, she has the same style box Kaya would have had when she was released which was 2002 and they had changed the box to the one with stars on the side in 2006 when Jess came out.
That’s a good question! I got my Beforever Samantha first. I wanted a pleasant company so I bought one from my friend. He wanted to fix her hair first and I got impatient and saw the dreamer one on eBay and fell in love. The one in box was on impulse but I think I will sell her and the one from my friend. Beautiful Samantha, Samanthas 😄 I also have two, bought one for the outfit she came with but can't make me sell the duplicate 😅 If money is not the motivation i would keep all the clothing and your favorite two dolls. If you want to make money of selling them i would sell the doll in the box with her clothes. Meet outfit is not hard to find second hand so you probably will find one later easy. Dating them i'm to no help 😅 😊

Well, I just ordered Evette too!!! I have been debating and when you said her name, I couldn’t resist. Hubby said it is my bday present. I hope I get her on my bday. Your boxed Samantha is the cutest (in my eyes) next to the one in the pink dress. Love that pink dress!!!! It is interesting to see how people are attracted to the features on these dolls. I did notice Evette has eye lashes around her eyes. Such an adorable feature to look for in the future. I certainly enjoyed this video. I am very picky and love AG dolls the most.
To me, it seems like your boxed Samantha has a Mattel face mold. Your favorite Sam has an older style face. I prefer the Mattel mold, but that's just me. I would sell your boxed doll, disclosing that she's marked 2008 and the Sam with the straighter hair. I'd keep your favorite and the Beforever. You can always get more tights and shoes. Keep your boxed doll's parts all together for sale.
I believe the 2098 date in the first Samantha does not have anything to do with her production date so she most likely is from the 90s like the seller said. She is actually my favorite of the 4. I too have a Samantha with the same shorter hair style but I can’t remember if she had that extra material in the back near the top of the strings. I almost think that version is older than your other two. I would sell her and the 2nd doll, however I would keep her entire outfit and box for your dreamer Samantha. Thus, I would sell her nude or put a different outfit on her. If you want the most money out of her then you should sell her as is with box, but personally I would keep the complete outfit for your favorite one so she is complete. I would also keep the beforever one because she is super cute and very different from your dreamer girl. At least these are my thoughts if I had these 4 dolls.

The in-box Samantha is from I think Early to mid 2000s cause of the box and her body tag says 2008..08 was when Samantha and Nellie were retired.

How did get 4 Samanthas? I technically have 2 but one is a thrift store find and she needs to be sent into doll hospital
