Thanks for the vid! I (40M) have been thinking about joining kickboxing classes, but having doubt because I never did any martial arts and am not strong at all (and a lot of other excuses I can come up with). This might be the kick in the butt I need to make the desicion.
Same age as you. Started at gym a year ago and don't like cardio so starting kickboxing this month. Just jump in, forget the excuses, you'll be happier for it.
So would you suggest a fight gym instead of regular working out? Seems like the 2 pursuits would not be duplicative or redundant but doing both would likely be a huge time commitment. (I also like to swim several times a week.)
Personally I weight train and box. Weights 5-6 times per week and boxing 2 times a week. I think it’s the perfect combo. You get the physique + the combat skillset
@ 2x/wk for a boxing schedule could be fit into my existing routine. Fight training is something I’ve never considered before but you’ve caused me to reconsider! 🤔🤩
how much do you pay for a gym membership? i’ve been looking into it and the ones near me seem kinda expensive but maybe it’s not idk i need to know how others are thanks!
I know the owner and have a special deal with him so it wouldn't compare. I believe his standard pricing is $100 for unlimited boxing. He admits he's undercharging because he already has plenty of money coming in
I wouldn’t say every man. I’m in my mid-fifties now and have given up on sparring after about 35 years. Definitely younger men will benefit. I think a few of us skinnier guys might protest about the ‘physically imposing’ idea too. I’m not, but I’ve never been anyone’s fool.
Bro, Looking at these clips, you still dont know how to fight lol. You should still be very scared man. His coach didnt even teach him how to throw a punch before striking the pads.
Long live the fighters
Never forget... A fight avoided is a fight won!
One thing I learned about fighting is it doesnt always guarantee a "win". There will always be somebody better and stronger. So you avoid getting one.
Please don't tell them, they've already filled the weight lifting gyms.
Every damn year!! Haha
you took the words right of my mouth.
Woah what’s up man, I remember you had said you were leaving TH-cam. Glad to see your channel back. You seem a lot more relatable than other channels.
Thanks man

Do it man! You’ll have a lot more respect for yourself and we all have to start somewhere

@ thanks! that’s about what the price is for me so now i’m not so worried about
He should fire his coach. The fact that he lets this guy strike like that and now he has a false sense of security. His technique looks horrible.

If you spent 35 years sparring, then you are physically imposing, even if your stature doesn’t reflect that
keefe you should build a community with courses!
Perhaps someday
💪
Damn is 5’9 short 😂
Small would have been a better word. If you're 5'9 and skinny you are small

This should be law 💪🔥
