TWEED RIVER LAND BASED | Fishing With Lures.

- In this session I'm fishing land based with my son around the Tweed River. We are running and gunning a heap of different spots fishing soft plastics weighted and un-weighted. It's a tough bite but we get a couple in the end.
Best advice I can give you with them ecogear aqua bream prawns is, when ya flick it into your target zone and it hits the water, leave the bailarm open and give the rod 1 swift flick up to leave a fair bit of slack line out.
Don't wind it up and just wait!
This lets the lure fall naturally straight down rather than back toward you.
Once you see the slack line quickly disappear, wind up the line and strike. Technique I used in the comps. 👌🏾

That 3rd location you went to has the largest amount of Einstein Smart bream of any I know and I've been fishng successfully for 50 years in heaps of locations. I've fished em on mullet, 4 pound clear flurocarbon and also mono line weightless. Even after midnight with dead calm water and no-one around and seeing hundreds of big and smaller bream, they will eat the bait "without" a hook if just dropped in, but it must be the sink rate or something, but put even a number 2 suicide in totally buried and they will circle it, move out of the road of its slow decent, watch it, but won't take it. Glad to know they are still the same. I've given it up as too frustrating LOL.

Finally a land based spot I know! The spot at the end of video is my favourite for bream. But I fish on the other side where she Seascape hotel is. Also get some flatties there too.

Ha, ha, ha, if you thought you could keep your sons attention when there were girls in a pool you must be getting too old, lol! Don't feel bad I have exactly the same problem with my sons, can't compete with the skirt! Nice try with the gun and run, the fish didn't play the game, the SX40's or small shad style plastics might have been the go?

Hugo 123 Some bass techniques require a heavier rod but will be nice for bream and any light weight technique stuff.

Jayden Nott I’ve caught there from the boat but land based is a totally different story. Heaps harder to approach and present a lure to bream from the shore.

That’s the kind of bait you wanna keep moving or fish in and area where the predominant food source is bait fish. Definitely not going to just let it sink naturally or dead stick a bait like that in my opinion. I can try and catch on one at some stage mate.
