  • An 8mm live-sound film I shot of the now-dismantled 10.25-inch narrow-gauge steam railway on the West Scottish island of Mull, which ran from Craignure Pier for a mile and a quarter to Torosay Castle, during the first year of its official opening. The line closed in 2010, and dismantled in 2012.

    A highly evocative piece of filming, the railway was very busy that day too, really nice to see. There is an engine at 5:30 partially covered by tarpaulin, I don't remember seeing that when we went many years later.

    I remember it well, been a few times (the loco was blue then)... Sadly gone.
    If I remember right, there had been hope of it reopening over at Loch Lomond but it fell through.
