I would love to see this mod continue to be played and receive regular balance updates from the community. It's almost like we have 6 races now!
Kinda reminds me of Red Alert and Generals where you had subfactions, though it's a bit more extreme here.

You can compare the movement speed for mining of BW races by looking at the gas. SC2 there's barely any delay for a worker to get into the gas building when it arrives whereas BW they sit there for quite a while before being able to get in.
This video is diabolical foreshadowing to their games against each other lol
I heard from caster 'WinterStarcraft', he mentioned that SC1 in SC2 their SCV / Drones / Probs accelerate 10% faster, hence they move faster and mine fast
I was waiting for Artosis to see this mod. Though I have to say. The second person in the video was so pessimistic of people playing a mod that came-out recently... So people haven't figured-out the meta yet.
yeah that guy is annoying as fk, like can they just cast the game??? they spend the entire time complaining and bitching about mistakes they think each player is making because of their own knowledge of SC1/SC2 but they fail to recognize that this is a mod that's been balanced around having all 6 races in.
@@derpsalot6853 To Artosis' credit he mostly seemed excited to get into a match himself and mainly speculated how units would do and build orders would pan-out. Rather than outright criticism of play or build.
To be fair everything jake said was 100% correct, he played zerg 3x to 5x better than this zerg was playing.

Right is right. Assholes are assholes. If an asshole is right it doesn't make him wrong cause he is an asshole. He was embarrassed by the play and rightfully so. He proved how he did almost everything wrong.
Doesnt mean he isn't an asshole. But someone being "annoying as fuck" when they are spitting facts isn't perhaps the correct response. "We get it he sucks, shut up" is more in line.

That's an FPS term too. Makes sense because how popular arena shooters were when SC1 came out.
I love this mod. My wish is that the sc1 races gets balanced with sc2 and included in a ladder
Fun to watch but why was the observing movement in frequent little jumps? It was disorienting to me. I feel like you normally observe by clicking the minimap and smooth scrolling a little as needed.

Jakes prediction was spot on, this zerg was doing nothing, jake annihilated artosis. Arty needs way more time to adjust to the new eco.

If Blizzard launched exactly this and called it StarCraft 3 they would have solved all of their problems as a company.
I think sc2 late game is better in this mod however the early game is horribly sc1 favored. For example zealot rushes are far stronger for the sc1 protoss because they have 20 more HP as well as the brood war workers mining faster.
Bw workers Mine faster because their races don't have macro mechanics like MULES, larva injecting and chronoboost
Zealots? SC1 Zerglings have the DPS equivalent of Adrenal Glands by DEFAULT. Seriously, an SC1 Zergling has higher DPS than an SC2 Zergling with adrenal. Boy they were limited by the 12 unit control groups...
