Wow! What a pleasant, resonant voice he has! When he hits the Taarasthayee Shadja (upper octave Sa), the resonance generated, and the vibrations of the Tanbura, induce joy in the listeners' hearts. I felt the same joy when my Sangeetha Acharya Sri T N Bala sat with a perfectly tuned tambura and sang. He was a Carnatic vocalist.
I have recently acquired a tanpura, and had little idea of what to do with it. I thank you for sharing this with the world. It is always good to have a solid point to begin from, and this was exactly what I was looking for.

যখন দেখতাম গানের সঙ্গে পিছনে বসে কেউ তানপুরা বাজাচ্ছেন, আমাদের মনে হতো মানুষটার সঙ্গীতের অনুষ্ঠানে কোনো গুরুত্বই নেই। গুরুজি এখন আপনার জলের মতো বোঝাবার জন্য জানতে পারলাম তানপুরে fine tuning এর ব্যাপারে হারমোনিয়ামের থেকেও আনেক বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
