125cc Honda Shifter Kart at Apex Kart Track - Perris, California - 3 Camera View - April 26, 2023

Open practice day at Apex Kart track. I was hoping to have 6 shifter kart drivers on the track battling it out on film, but Ryon and Jeff got stuck at work, Rob's kart broke a steering rod bearing after one session, Brett's kart had a wheel get loose and damaged the wheel/hub, and Sal was always on the other side of the track. So the video just has me and Wayne on it. Oh well, next time.

What fun. I'll always have fond memories of Perris because that's where I won my first race. That would have been in late 1996. The track was smaller and simpler back then, plus we ran it counterclockwise.

Exhausting to watch! Love Wayne closing the door on your first pass attempt on the front stretch! Looked like you had the timing down by the next time through…also, kudos on that F1 overlay 😂 Luckily, for you guys, those F1 teams are so inexpensive to run 😆

Wayne and I have crashed into each other so many times in kart races fighting for position that we kinda know how far we can push it before we collide. It is embarrassing crashing into each other in a race, especially when you are supposed to be on the same team!
