- I don't need to tell anyone how special Antoine Dupont is, it doesn't take an expert to see how gifted he is on the rugby field. I still can't believe he is only 26 years old. It has to be a lie, the guy is too good for his age. It makes no sense how he is so good, and he only starting to reach his peak.
France started slow in the Six Nations, where they started off with 2 wins, but it was poor performances and they were simply not at their best. As the tournament went on, they started to play their own style of rugby, and it starts with Dupont, who controls everything. The guys just keeps producing every single time, I've never seen him have a bad game, no matter how bad France is doing, he always finds a way to be involved and make a difference. He does everything. He's special on attack, he's special on defence, and he's also special with his kicking game and on top of all that, he's an amazing captain. France has a ton of pressure on them to produce at this year's world cup, but they could not have asked for a better man in charge.
France may not have won the 6 Nations, but Dupont still proved he was the best player in the competition, and arguably the world.
I have been watching rugby for about 40 years, played myself for a decade. I never seen someone like him. I am so grateful I get to witness such a marvel of a player.
Not only "Ministre" but "Chef d'Orchestre", he elevates Rugby to the state of Art...His game is a Symphony 🥰😍
The guy really is in a league of his own.

@@westy8065 i've never seen Edwards plays but i saw Joost. And Dupont is much skillful, powerfull and impredictible.
Antoine Dupont keeps the forwards and the game alive, ambidextrous on his kicks , you can tell the guy is special and all the team needs to get one notch up , let’s not forget their coach Fabien Galtier who has revolutionise the French rugby, less faults , power and flair.
Well, give credit where it is due, less fault is actually the work of Shaun Edwards. Galtié is a great technician and tactics guys, absolute brain. and the person driving is Raphael Ibanez, great guy, because this is defnitely not the point where the head coach is the best at (but he is clever enough to have recognized it).

as a welsh rugby fan for over 50 years its amazing to watch Mr Dupont , he creates space , solid as a rock
He is the best halfback I have seen since Fourie du Preez. His rugby intelligence is wonderful. Its almost comparable to mine, and for an armchair critic that is saying something. He very rarely makes a bad decision.
Yeah, watching him just makes you realize how lucky we were with Fourie du Preez. What I love about them both is how calm they are under pressure. You can just sense they have things under control. Haha and good to see you being humble enough to acknowledge his rugby intelligence, it takes a lot of pride.

@@tasanalytics Faf was fantastic when he was allowed to play his natural game at the Lions. At the Boks he was told what to do (game plan) and forfeited his natural abilities in the process. As French captain Dupont does his own thing, hence he's so brilliant.
Antoine make us like watching more rugby. He is so a special and humble great player.
I remember years ago watching him on debut for Castres in the Top14 and now one of the best players of the world !

quelle chance d'avoir un tel joueur dans notre équipe de France. Non seulement il est fort, mais il bonifie tout le reste de l'équipe : un peu comme à l'époque de Zidane au foot, quand tu as un tel joueur dans ton équipe, tu n'as pas envie d'être juste moyen, tu fais le max pour mériter de jouer avec lui.

En effet physiquement parlant c’est une machine et quand en plus, il y a un truc entre les deux oreilles et des qualités techniques hors normes (ambidextrie) bha ça donne ça lol😂.

That being said it’s good that they lost against Ireland, they need to join the world cup with hunger and without being favorite.

What is the EDF?, Is that like the main squad or something else? In South Africa we basically have the u/19, u/21 squads and then the senior squad. I'm know about the Espoirs in France, that's basically you're u/21 league, which I love to follow. I like to follow the South Africans player there.

Je l'ai trouvé légèrement moins bon que l'an dernier, mais ça reste un des tous meilleurs joueurs du monde !
A mon humble avis, il est toujours ausi bon mais il a change sa facon de jouer et est devenu un vrai chef d'orchestre dont le role est de faire jouer ses coequipiers selon sa vision du jeu qu'il a sur le terrain. L'autre point sur lequel il reste tres fort est sa facon de defendre. Et puis, il faut vous dire qu'il est craint par toutes les equipes donc tres surveille et a moins de liberte qu'auparavant, l'un expliquant l'autre.

Peut être le capitanat, un peu pesant aussi, mais évidemment qu'il est devenu un des joueurs les plus surveillés aussi, ça joue...
Sinon évidemment que c'est un top joueur, rien à dire sur lui, il coche toutes les cases des joueurs de grande classe !
Ses adversaires ont etudie sa facon de jouer et savent le contrer

Je ne crois pas non tout simplement parce qu’il est imprévisible et c’est une grande qualité en plus des qualités techniques.
Sur certains matchs il s’appuie sur Romain et sur d’autres c’est Romain qui s’appuie sur lui. Il attaque toujours autant la ligne au ras comme au prés, il a aussi un jeu au pied offensif très qualitatif. C’est rare que je dise ça, mais il a aucun vrai défaut dans le jeu et dans la vie de groupe il est en plus très apprécié de ses camarades. Ces adverses peuvent l’étudier autant qu’ils le veulent, ça ne change pas grand chose tant que tu es protégé par ton pack comme il l’est. On a une charnière complètement déconnectée dans le bon sens du terme, chaque fois qu’ils touchent la balle, je me demande ce qu’ils vont encore inventer tout les deux.
Pour briller autant il faut une équipe autour et on a pas mal de joueurs au top niveau mondial.
La liste est longue des joueurs que l’on peut mettre comme les meilleurs à leur poste.
Baille, Atonio (top 3 sans hésitation), Flament sûrement le meilleur 4, toute la troisième ligne, Dupont, Fickou, Penaud et Ramos. Ça fait quand meme beaucoup pour une seule équipe.
