Felt it deep in my heart. I am from Jaffna. During school days one of my closest friend came from this island. They had horses here and nobody knew how they arrived in this remote corner of Sri Lanka. I. hope that the western tourists help to preserve this island as it is. Thank you lady for showing the video and the eco friendly guy with no ambition other than to have. his island prserved as it is.

Very nice. I have as a teenager visited Delft island on a school trip the year that SWRD Bandaranaike was shot. When the news reached the island, we hastily came back to Colombo. What i cud remember was the very dry n remoteness of the plsve n that there were quite a few donkeys. Now living in the UK for 25 yrs. 🇱🇰🇬🇧👍

When we were in the university we had an amazing opportunity to visit delftt with a friend who is from delft and he arranged us a similar native experience which we had never expected and so grateful for him and his mother. For the 7 years of our undergraduate life that was the best boys trip

You are a really multi-talented person having transferred from modelling to Travel promotion and a great ambassador for our country. I was in Sri Lanka recently and was searching for some authentic rice and curry places but didn't come across any but just came across your rice and curry video. Next time I will check out the places. It is great to see some talented girls like you, Yohani and our women's cricket team showcasing Sri Lanka to the world. You girls rock ! After all we had the first female prime minister in the world and many other trail blazers so we expect a high standard from our girls. Best Wishes.
Lovely video as usual. 👍 Taking moringa leaves regularly cures high BP. Drum stick is very nutritious and also works for BP. In Odia we also call taddy. As I understand it is little intoxicating and brings good sleep. The unripe palm is very tasty, I miss it for years.
Very interesting video showing the beauty and charms of DELFT island and it has a very interesting history from the time that the british colonial powers had control of CEYLON in the 1800s till SRI LANKA gained independence in 1948 ,It was controlled by the appointed governor who treated the island and its people like his own kingdom..GOD BLESS MY MOTHERLAND AND ALL ITS CITIZENS ...

Plenty of people have visited and promoted this island before. we've used the platform we have to share what we think is the best way to Visit, experience and develop this island going forward so that at the very least those who visit Delft after watching our video will go with the same intent.
