Hello! This is Ignazio Vagnone from Jensen Speakers! Thank you for this nice video. Glad to see you appreciated our efforts to recreate the iconic Jensen speakers of the '50s and the '60s. Mike, please feel free to get in contact for any info you might need! Anybody looking for more details, tech specs, and general tech talk about speakers... just hit me with comments and questions! Cheers!
@@mendittoamplification Thak you for taking the time of doing this video. I'll be more than happy to answer any question about these speakers and all the Jensen speakers in general, including the "how we did it" and "why we did it as we did", among others ;) I just love interaction with the guitar community!
It was my pleasure. I actually really love Jensen speakers. I also design and build my own amplifiers, and I use Jensen speakers in many of them. My favorite speaker in this Vintage AlNiCo series is the P12R. Send me an email mike@mendittoamps.com, and maybe we can talk one day soon.
You're welcome. Thank you once again for watching all of my videos and leaving comments. I really appreciate it! I will have another video with a better and more complete audio demonstration published very soon.
If I remember correctly the P10-RL was intended to be a low frequency speaker-hence the L. I got some 20 years ago that were trash and had Ted W. recone them to period correct P10-R specs. I think the new P10-Rs sound perfectly fine after break in but there are subtle differences.
Thank you for that information. The P10RL speaker featured in this video is definitely lacking treble, so it would only make sense to discover that this was actually a design feature. I think that the new Jensen P10R speaker sounds glorious. I am working on my final audio demonstration. Thank you for watching my video and for leaving a comment!
I have a 10" in my '64 RI Princeton and an 8" in my Tweed Mojotone Princeton, and it is a lovely speaker to hear, very smooth - sounding, if I can use that word. The highs don't get ice-picky, nice mids, rich lows.
I have several reissue Jensen P12R speakers here in my workshop that I use on a regular basis. I agree, I think that they are lovely and pleasant as well. I also have 10 of them in stock. I use these speakers in some of the amplifiers that I build. Thank you for watching my video and for leaving a comment!
I am glad that you found my description amusing. Thank you for leaving a comment and for watching my video! I will post the demonstration video featuring the new Jensen P10R speaker very soon. I really love these speakers. Happy holidays!

You should always solder your speaker leads to the speaker, for obvious reasons.
Thank you for the advice. I agree, but I need to make certain that the customer wants to keep this speaker first. Thank you for watching my video!
