This is Ghostwhisper It is one tv series about a woman who communcates with the dead. It had 5 seasons where she would help the dead with unfinished business. A real girl boss who also owned her own shop. In this clip there were 2 girls of same age. One dies and finds out that the girls were switched at birth. So through the episode we find out one mother found out the truth earlier, was jelous of other wo.an who had both girls learning tennis ... a whole lot a run around before the ghost girl learned she was loved and could pass on. There were better episodes but this one does have Ned help out as he eventually becomes a holder of a secret book in the series that talks about prophacies and the dead. Malinda also has a son with her husband before he dies and jumps back into another's body in season 4 who has a big role in season 5. This is a great show to watch. I have it all on dvd.
I used to watch it. I however don't recognize this episode. And from looking at Ned. This was a later season one. The earlier ones he was a much younger kid.

Knight Rider was a show about a guy and an AI driven car. I think you have Night Stalker in mind. It had some things in common with Ghost Whisperer but was much darker.

The friend was consumed by guilt, but the other two stopped her from going to the police. Melinda has to tell the family of the motorcyclist what happened so the spirit can move on
