Yes, Amna is right about Anaya's first chance to Hassan. Remember when Hassan's father insulted Anaya's parents, she was heartbroken and she told Hassan "ab tum apne naak bhi ragdro ge tou tumse shaadi nai karungi" but then he apologized and cried in front of her and she finally accepted his proposal.

Hassan "LOVES" Anaya yet he so easily could put a question mark on her CHARACTER. What a paradox!
Firstly his "male ego" got hurt as he was sitting back at home doing nothing rather his wife was earning and then got influenced by his friend and accused her without analyzing for a second. Left her all alone during the difficult time. Yet his actions are worth forgiveness. WOW!

Before watching: Sabaat was so good. The portrayal of Anaya’s character in Sabbat was just amazing.
On one hand there was Meenu whose husband cheated on her with her own sister, left her but yet she wanted to go back to him. On the other hand there was Anaya who HERSELF left her husband because he wrongly accused her of cheating.
There was Meenu who decided to burn herself alive after giving birth to her child after her 2 takkay ka husband. And then there was Anaya who decided to raise her son up independently.
Two different portrayals of women. Women can definitely be shown strong and independent.
Such an amazing drama. Will definitely be missed.

Sabaat had happy ending but as you guys pointed wish they could develop entire story at least before 2-3 episodes. This show had some finest performances and great lessons. I actually loved them showing Anaya's mother adopted kid , Let's put this way we as a human tend to have dependencies and can not survive alone. I still wish writers normalize parents staying with their daughters if son is not there , entire world has come long way. Aged parents needs support and It will be encouraging to show it. Anaya's character's repelling to Hassan's apology first was highlight for me. after reunion Hassan actually said Baby ko apne jaisa hi banana was seal deal moment for me. That guy realized and it was implied !
PS : When she said giving second chance I believe she meant marrying him after denying in-spite of all red flags. Cause She denied when his father in law abused her parents than he begged apology etc.
Miral's character was bad but blunt badass. I'm glad she dint turn mad , dint die , wasn't slapped . It was so well done how she realized , repented , confessed and repaired her deeds . Most progressive character has to Anaya - ever written and well done by Mawra !! Even with all loopholes it will go in list of one forever favorites !

    • @ifrahmirza9234
      @ifrahmirza9234 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Ansolutely agree with you on how we need to normalize parents living with daughters. It was quite confusing: Anaya's dialogue about how her mom is old fashioned and wouldn't even drink water from her daughter's place but then goes on to adopt a kid.

    My review for sabaat:
    ● I loved how Simi jee ending was shown. That whole adoption scene was really good and emotional. A really good msg regarding adoption. My khala has no children. She really wanted to adopt one. But her family (siblings, relatives) discouraged her alot by saying apni aulad apni hi hoti ha, dusre ki aulad boj hi lagay gi.
    ● Miraal sitting after a major spinal cord surgery was really dumb. After 4 months kar k bhi dikha sakhte the ye log.
    ● This is the chemistry we wanted all to see between Miral and Dr Harris. Loved that last wala walking scene.
    ● when Hasan gets to know about the truth. I really wanted ameer to act very emotional or angrily. But he didn't. But then he beated the shit out of Atif outside the hospital which was great.
    ● Hats off to team Sabaat for writing, directing, and acting brilliantly.
    ● and ofc its ost❤❤
Ps. Mujhe shak ho ra hai k Hasan ka mtlb ye hai k ab hafte me eik hi review aye ga. Esa mt karna please. We all want 2 doses of review every week.🙄🙄

IMO Sabaat ending was too rushed and underwhelming. I was left wanting.
I did not like conclusion of any character.
Hasan should have been forgiven but Anyay shouldn’t have gone back to him , he is a fickle minded , weak willed human who couldn’t take a little hardship and started hating Anaya for his hard times. And for Miraal, just a little accident changes her into good human being ,that was totally unbelievable.
How do we know once she is healed she won’t change back into her bi@&y self again.

I think Anaya should've gone back to Hassan but the doctor guy shouldn't have accepted Miral and left. Miral is crazy, ruthless, and overall a bad person whose done terrible and was about to leave him for someone else. All because she's very pretty and he's codependent haha. The information fed to Hassan would've made any man be suspicious and I'm not denying Hassan doesn't have flaws, but he's not a bad person and he is the love of Anaya's life and the father of her son. There wasn't much reason for her not to return but there was plenty of reasons for Dr.Harris to leave especially after he finds out what she did to her brother.

Before watching the review: Sabaat ended on a beautifully powerful note. It was so calming and so refreshing to watch. I could feel positivity within myself I swear. Where a man forgave a woman, a woman forgave a man and they showed how forgiveness is a human emotion and how the money and power won't remain Sabaat/permanent but it's the love of the people around you thats meant to stay Sabaat. I mean it's harder to forgive and when you do it, you are somewhat adopting Allah miyan's traits in yourself who we ask for forgiveness for the wildest of our sins. I am so happy about the end. It wasn't to be compared from toxic men like Amaan, Hamza and Mir Haadi and here forgiveness is so justified!!! I absolutely am in love with the positivity it liberated will always go back to it for that reason! ❤️

But here, we had Ameer who was new, and we had a lesser-so biased view on him- and if he was genuinely worthy of forgiveness or not

    Amazing play! 👏🏽
What could’ve been added/improved in the last episode:
    1) The actual point of realisation for Miraal when she discovers that the other guy left her and that she can’t walk. We needed to see her emotions and thoughts at that exact point.
    2) A few more scenes of Usmaan Mukhtaar while Mirals in the OT. What emotions does he go through? We needed to see why despite her behaviour, he still chose to love and care for her. Ek scene tou banta tha. ( the one where he simply runs to her in the hospital wasn’t enough).
This would have added depth in the continuity leading to the conclusion.
    3) Spinal surgery is serious business. You can’t be propped up in a hospital bed with your neck and back in that position immediately after a major surgery like that. As amazing as the rest of the drama was, this medical issue could’ve been dealt with more sensitivity.
Also, Simi Raheel should get the best Mumy award for this drama 😍😍❤️❤️

Even in both the shows for hum tv just mawra and ameer came, although Sara was the main character whole drama revolves around her and 90percent people started watching for Usman.
They purposely shifted the focus to mawra and ameer.Nl doubt they acted amazingly but the injustice to Usman 🥺

Didn't like how it end. He believed his friend and didn't trust anaya, she was bullied humiliated by his family right from the start, slapped twice by miral while she did nothing, so all she did was persevere till they finally accepted her. And miral was so toxic, horrible to Harris, she should have been left alone to rot, that would have been a good ending.

Sabaat was far far better than "MERE PAS TUM HO" which had stolen too much limelight
This drama shows how the daughter/parents relationship should be, how necessary your upbringing is, women empowerment how to survive with respect when you lost everything, you should have any skill in life( like Anaya did baking), to which level a wife should be sacrificing for a husband, and if husband don't understand you, leave without saying a word.AAnd most important: "makafat - e - amal or maaf krny ki importance"
    It was a masterpiece.

Sabaat conveyed a beautiful message with brilliant performances and script ... absolutely loved it and I can watch it all over again ! ❤️ Sabaat teaches about humility, inspirational upbringing, independence, forgiveness, especially “Tawakkal” and the consequences of being arrogant which has been shown in a Pakistani serial after a long time. Also, our producers, writers and channels should take an example and create more educational, empowering and positive content like this instead of creating the same old negative and uneducated drama serials. Also, the last scenes of Dr. Harris who proved and portrayed to be an ideal husband with Miraal were brilliant and made me emotional however I agree the overall execution of Miraal’s transformation was way too fast ... I watched the writer Kashif Anwar’s interview and he mentioned that Miraal could also get hidayat in an instant, it connected all the dots for me. Will miss it for sure ... Sabaat is definitely a masterpiece! ❤️
    P.S. Amna you look beautiful ! 😊

Unimpressed by Sabaat’s ending. If writers want to create relatable stories laced with important life lessons, then they should give them realistic, befitting conclusions as well. Who doesn't like a happy ending but unfortunately, in real life, more often than not, you have to sometimes live with the grave consequences of your intentional/unintentional actions, no matter how remorseful you might feel. Many people spend their entire lives seeking redemption, desperately wanting to turn back the wheel of time. But they fail to do so solely because there are certain boundaries in relationships that once breached, cannot be rectified.
Accusing your husband/wife of infidelity just because “somebody said so” is an example of one such boundary. Hassan and Miraal deserved to spend the rest of their lives full of regret for having taken their partners for granted. Miraal deserved to live a life plagued with torment and guilt. Because that would have communicated the consequential finality of certain actions to the viewers, making them realize that there's always a price to pay for every mistake and decision you make in life.
It’s important and sometimes necessary to forgive in order to rid yourself of any emotional baggage that someone brought into your life. But forgiveness doesn’t mean that you allow them to re-enter your life especially when they caused you significant emotional and mental turmoil in the past. And I really hoped that the writer would show Anaya and Harris moving on with their individual lives with dignity after having rid themselves of their toxic partners. But our writers are clearly very strongly influenced by the happily-ever-after slogan, often confusing it to be relevant to the workings of real life. Sigh.

Sabaat is a leading example of sending such good messages without being overly dramatic or loud unlike dramas these days. It had very subtle and classy tone, whether it’s the background music, or language/voices. It showed women empowerment through Anaya’s journey and at some level through Miraal authority also without being preachy. Loved the parents children bonding with transparency at Anaya’s household. And last but not the least,
Everyone’s performances were so believable and amazing 👏🏼 👏🏼

With respect, I dont agree with your negative points for Sabaat, i don't agree that it should have been dragged into another 5 episodes. After all, it's a drama, there are certain things that are left for the audience to conclude.
It's not compulsory to explain every detail. That's the problem with Pakistani dramas, when the writer and director tries to explain everything you loose the plot. There are unnecessary scenes and performances then.
I think the last scene when Anaya's mother adopts a little boy is a great message for the audience. I don't agree with Amna that it's unrealistic, to me its not. Anayas mother was a soft hearted gentle soul, she raised Anaya with great values. It's understandable for her to reach out for such a vulnerable child. Problem is that we are not used to positive endings anymore. Sabaat's ending was refreshing, yes it may have a few mistakes (Hospital Scene) but putting that aside and ignoring the visual effect, it was beautifully penned down. Inthe end, Miraal realises that she was wrong, flash back with the background scores summaries the story well. Im happy with the ending, i don't think i would have wanted another few episodes just to see miraal slowly realising how wrong she was.
Lets celebrate great script and performances!!

I beg to disagree with amna when it comes to usman mukhtar's character in sabat... People have seen him as altamash and he has made a brave choice in accepting this role... He can't always be THE ROMANTIC HERO etc ofcourse the character wasn't written well I totally agree ... But agar hum ye kahain k usman k sath zyadti ho gai coz he was altamash, then we should also see that ameer has done such a great job in his SECOND drama. I haven't even seen his 1st drama, for me he is a new comer and I am a fan now. If the people stick in the same kind of roles and don't dare to do a supporting role or a character that has less lines then we will say we see them in the same roles all the time etc.

An accident happen ... no operation nothing shown just within few hours ( till hasan know about her accident) she got transformed.

I think the writer/director were in a hurry to end the drama, Sabaat. This was the most fast forwarded episode. 😂Miraal had an accident, injured her spinal cord , but when Hassan learns about the accident and comes to see her, Miraal is sitting on the bed, without any pain and straight away tells Hassan the whole story.😂 It was the most quick turn around of a personality I have seen even in dramas. The accident looked like an easy way out for the writer. Wish he had shown the comparison in upbringing, Anaya succeeding on her own and Miraal crumbling without the support of her farther and business. Miraal getting a taste of her own medicine rather than a rushed accident and getting a new personality within moments.
