My DM uses the Thine Weakness Exposed on a nat1 but also does a D100 after. Roll high, and they just miss, roll really low and something like the AoO is potential, both for players and for monsters (let it make sense though, shooting a companion accidentally isn't fun for the players). It makes things fun and random. Like when a player rolled 2 nat 1s before in the same session, he ended up shooting a tree while chasing a monster and causing difficult terrain as it fell in their path. Long before, a creature rolled a 1 on my wizard, and my DM rolled extremely low for the creature, so he allowed me to roll a melee spell attack AoO on it despite not having warcaster. Roll a nat20, and 1-hit KOed the creature. Still my favorite combat moment, hands down, all because some extra dice ruled that I got to do something a little cooler. Highly recommend
In terms of stats having a chance to drop, Rolemaster rgives playters starting and potential stats and if you roll poorly as you rise in levels, instead of getting closer to your max, you drop down.
I can't stop laughing. Pronouncing it like Morkborg makes it sound really goofy. Like something from the muppets. Now Mörkborg, Swedish for dark fort sounds pretty cool I think but the way it's Americanized and also the way the letter ö is just treated like an o makes it sound so silly, I'm sorry.
@@wizardsling I've said it before, I'll say it again. Even if it's not something I'd personally play that doesn't make it a bad TTRPG. The thing is that different people like different things. if there was one TTRPG that existed that made everyone happy nobody would make anything else. In the end, as long as it's fun for the group it's a good game.
Just play Morkborg for Christ's Sake.
Christ wants you to play whatever TTRPG you fancy.
@@wizardslingI see what you did there
Are you sure that weather table is from Mork Borg? It's in a legible, consistent font and is not lurid pink on neon yellow.
heh indeed it is. I used the QuickStart guide for screenshots, and it's all black text on white background.
Yeah, that's the version I have. Some of the content is actually quite good when you can read it. @@wizardsling
I wish you a happy new year - may your channel prosper and grow! Keep up the good work, I enjoyed the video, as always.
thanks!
Mörk Borg is a GREAT ttrpg! Dark, creepy, gory, and loads of twisted fun!😊
Totally agree! Lots of fun.
It is fine. It looks neat...at first.

You're welcome. I'm happy to be your source of entertainment for the day
How is this supposed to be pronounced? Mow-erk-bawg??
Mörk Börg is what 80’s edgelords *wanted* D&D to be. 😄
I mean, I'm pretty much of the opinion that D&D can be whatever you want.
Or maybe Mork Borg is what DnD was until 5e turned it into Harry Potter the RPG 🤔
@@convicsik Nah, I was there before the Red Box. It wasn’t bubble-wrapped, but it wasn’t Mörk Börg.
TBH this game sounds appropriately miserable.
heh yeah i don't think i'd run it or play in it. But it has some good mechanics to steal
