Stop with the "dark souls this, dark souls that" holy fucking shit. This triggers me so much. A game is hard and everyone is fucking calling it dark souls.
I like how Kaunan and Isa are LITERALLY JUST THE SAME CHARACTER except with minor design differences. Kaunan: Less fat & more muscle toned as he is a master weaponsmith & a fire giant, and has a well kept skirt with matching blacksmith's gloves (kinda pointless as he doesn't need to worry about burning his hands) Isa: More fat and flabbier (yet still strong AF!) muscles under all that bulk as he is a nomadic loner & an ice giant, and has a skirt made of unkempt animal pelts. Both have scalp & facial hair made of their respected elements, so their designs differ slightly with how those look as well. BUT WHAT REALLY GETS ME IS THAT OUT OF ALL THE JOTUN IS THAT KAUNAN AND ISA ARE THE LEAST DIFFERENT DESIGN-WISE, BEING THE ONLY MEN, AND THEN WE GET THE ABSOLUTE VARIETY THAT IS JERA (thicc), FE (buff), AND HAGALAZ (skinny) ON THE LADIES SIDE!
Wait, Hagalaz is female? EDIT: Just made some research, and I think it makes sense for Kaunan and Isa to be so similar, since they represent opposite concepts: Kaunan is the Jotun of "the torch" (which I guess means fire), mortality and pain (I guess that explains why he does a Hollow Knight after defeat), while Isa represents ice, stillness and power. The concepts the female Jotun are based on aren't really opossite, so I don't think there's a need to make them very similar. Just my opinion, though.

Kaunan taking a second to give that sword one last definitive hammer before he turns around to deal with him... Fe and her hordes of Norse dwarves which, if you look closer, are still BIGGER THAN YOU ARE... and then of course Odin! and the sheer badassery of the way he flings off his cloak and his "old traveler" disguise to reveal himself as the king of the gods. and that fucking music!!! chills!!! annnnd probably my favorite thing of all: that escalating white-out blizzard in Isa's fight where conditions deteriorate by the second, all while he gets stronger and faster. by the end you can barely see, you're sliding all over the place, and meanwhile he's barreling around and you can barely get out of the way let alone chase him down for a hit. fml, that was probably my favorite fight in the whole game.
