I'm not a professional videographer, but the Osmo Pocket 3 makes me look like one. The footage is so smooth and stable, and the colors are so vibrant. I'm so glad I bought it.
The Pocket 3 surprised me once again. Such a fantastic little camera that produces great image quality, even without shooting in D-Log M and color grading. Let me know if you want me to make a beginner action camera basic color correction video. Take care.
Beautiful video. Well explained, nice and relaxed. Any videos you produce would be great, but I would certainly like to see an editing video for a beginner!
@RomaFedorov This video showcasing the functionalities of the "Pocket 3" video camera is absolutely outstanding! It's rare to come across such a comprehensive breakdown coupled with genuine behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage. Unlike many other camera tutorials, this one truly dives deep into every aspect, leaving no stone unturned. The blend of thoroughness and entertainment value is commendable. I sincerely hope this isn't the last we see of your exceptional content. Your passion and skill shine through, and I have no doubt that your dedication will continue to inspire many aspiring filmmakers like myself. May your talents be duly recognized and rewarded, as you continue to enrich the creative community with your invaluable insights and expertise. Looking forward to more fantastic videos from you in the future!
Absolutely BEST and most helpful video I have seen on actually shooting with my new pocket 3 camera! I have only shot with it one time and found myself a little bit frustrated and lost at times on what the best settings were. I cannot thank you enough Roma for making this video! Thank you so much for taking the time to share what you have learned with the rest of us who do not yet have these insights or practice! VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!! 😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! Excellent choice of music. I appreciate you sharing your written settings; they make for a handy reference alongside a screenshot image of your footage. Glad I found your channel. 👍🏻
Thank you very much for this high quality video ! I personally definitly want a color grading video for the osmo pocket 3. The result is really really good !
I would definitely love to watch your tutorial on how to do basic colour correction especially on Pocket 3. It's crazy what kind of quality it brings in such a small size. Last two years I was researching market for perfect hybrid for my use case and landed on Canon R8 but now I am really thinking hard to sell it, buy Fuji X-E4 as a small photo camera and DJI Pocket 3 as a small video camera.
Yes please make a video how to color correct video. My daughter bday is coming planing to buy pocket 3 for our Disneyland tour and i dont want to use dlog M because im not professional in color grading. Maybe pro mode and just correcting like the curve
Thank you for your Video. I would like to see a Video with the dji osmo action 4. cinematic with Nd Filter. Dlogm with dji Lut and colour correction. 😊😊😊😊😊
Great video! And take care with these eND filters, saw some reviews, they cause a kind of X grey blur on footage. There's something around here on YT. And thanks!
Amazing footage! Small question from a noob: Why wouldn't you just record everything in 50fps or higher by default so you have the option of always using it for slow motion? Filming specific clips in 24fps and others in 50fps (to me) seems like you'd be unnecessarily switching between settings the whole time?
First of all, it takes more space, but that's not a big deal. However, what's more important to me is that it affects motion blur. If you film in 4k50p or higher and add this footage to a standard 4k25p timeline without slowing it down, it will look a bit jittery. I'm not a big fan of that.
Same here.. At first they say dlog is 10 bit.. Lol.. Normal profile is 10 bit too. So same room for color grading. Besides.. The normal color mode in auto exposure(-0.7ev) definitely exposes for your face when vlogging. And has much better dynamic range because of ai correction like iphone etc. does. You lose the "expose to the face" ability in dlog and if the light changes while vlogging you are screwed. I also don't believe that anyone really needs ND filters for such a point and shoot vlog camera. Maybe for broll but definitely not needed for vlogging cause there won't be that much significant movement at all for motion blur. The hassle of changing those tiny filters and the fingerprints is killing the purpose of that camera but I see people are promoting their freebie freewell nd filters everywhere :)
@@erkkocak definitely in 4K60 auto settings I never needed a ND filter and you still get that motion blur. I only change expo comp to -0.3ev and it be perfect. Pocket 3 is a point n shoot not a cinema camera so auto with less extra accessories is ideal. Ppl just be over complicating everything for TH-cam with that whole cinematic crap.
@@kendrickcontent Absolutely.. This is TH-cam man.. not hollywood and nobody really cares if your video has motion blur or not! That's all because of the "fake gurus" :) Good picture is important but good picture is good composition and good lighting.. not 180 degree rule.. lol.. Storytelling is the king .. See Casey Neistat.. he never ever color grades :) Doesn't care about gimbals etc.. :) Or check MarkusPix . another true Hollywood cinematographer.. But he knows this is TH-cam.. not Hollywood :) And for this special video.. I am sorry Roma but the "ungraded" footage is really much better than the "graded" one at the end.. sorry :)
Dude this video is amazing! Thank you so much. I just got back from filming with my pocket 3 and found all my footage looking really grainy. I had the ISO at 800 though so I'm assuming thats why. So from now on ill shoot max 100-200. Is the base ISO for the Pocket 3 100?
The image from this camera is way beyond what it should be. I want one to shoot mini docs and music videos. It would be so cool if they put this sensor in the action 5 so we have a more durable camera with the same image quality. They'd make a great pair.
What is missing is the manual adjustable aperture. Especially because of the price of the camera. But even if it had, THE BIGGEST PROBLEM REMAINS: THE BUILT-IN BATTERY. Batteries of this type (lithium) with continuous charging, their lifetime and performance decrease. Practically after moderate use, this product after 2-3 years may not be the same...
I'm not really sure, I don't have an iPhone that does cinematic video. However, something tells me that the iPhone will blur the background a bit more than the pocket 3..
How to avoid the extreme blue skype color with Pocket 3 in grading? I have been annoyed extremely with this problem and consider to give it up of using it.
UPDATE! I made a basic color correction tutorial for the Pocket 3. Watch it here: th-cam.com/video/7Gsarjap-8k/w-d-xo.html&t

It’s awesome!
I shoot straight out of camera with this no color grade and it’s the best image quality I have seen in a sub $1000 camera.

Great video mate, I'd like to see a video on white balance and how you choose the numbers based on the conditions. Cheers
Roma uses the camera’s auto mode to calculate w/B and then locks that number in manual mode. I found this to be an awesome tip. 👍🏻
WOW ungraded?! the Pull out shot at 0:22 was CRAZY....

Wow, thanks man! I'm glad I could help!
0:22 this shot is INSANE, nice color grading man
Thanks, but it wasn't color graded. All the pocket 3 clips in the beginning weren't..
Great tutorial! When using single focus mode, do you need to tap the screen first to select a focus point?
Love to see more of how you shoot videos. Learn so much from it, thank you
Great explanation of your settings and beautiful shots! I'll be using your input. Thanks!
No worries!

Please do a color correction and grading tutorial for osmo pocket 3 amazing video I subbed to you 7:19

Absolute entry-level adjustment and coloring.

Is flexible iso setting 50-200 an option or better to avoid and use fixed iso setting?

They would never, marketing strategy, that's why we have ipad and macbooks, they want you to buy both. They won't put touch screens on macbooks
thank you for the helpful tips. 😊

How is background blur in videos for cinematic look compared to cinematic mode on iPhone? Especially with close up shots
I'm not really sure, I don't have an iPhone that does cinematic video. However, something tells me that the iPhone will blur the background a bit more than the pocket 3..
Great images really
Yep
How to avoid the extreme blue skype color with Pocket 3 in grading? I have been annoyed extremely with this problem and consider to give it up of using it.
What is the gimbal setting?
I mostly use tilt locked with default speed
best....!!!!!
Bigger black bands next time
I think that for this camera 25 f/s not good decision, it brings to micro-freez; 50/60 better for smoothness
Hello Roma, thanks for this info, its great, can you tell me the name of the music in this video en were i can find the song? 😊
Thanks!
The music was downloaded from Audiio: geni.us/j5NAhTE [Song: Hidden - Ardie Son]
how did you get the 16:9 cinematic crop?
I just used a 2:1 aspect ratio (3840x1920) and cropped the top and bottom..
I'm interested in getting a Pocket 3, but I've seen some users mention issues with the rotating screen. How has your experience been with it so far?
I haven't had any issues with it.
What nd strength did u use mostly. If i just want to buy 1nd filter which would u recommend, 32 or 64?
32
nice video, thanks!
Instead of changing the Kelvin value often, I prefer to shoot with D-Log and apply LUTs. I think that is the simpler way to shoot.😂😂
It blows my mind that such a small camera is capable of that. I had a Pocket 2 and wasn't impressed with it, but clearly I need to get a Pocket 3.
The pocket 3 is one of my favorite cameras!
seems that color grading for non-log worse even it's 10bit
does osmo pocket has zoom? and if so, do you use zoom in there? i want to have one but i am a beginner
It has digital zoom and I never use it.
thanks useful stuff
Glad it was helpful!

What bag is that around your waist around 4:48?
It's a Thai made camera bag. www.ilovetogo.com/shop/bag-waist-pack/gravity-move/reform-sling-waistpack
No color correction for that video!?!? Wow!!
Yeah, everything is pretty much straight out of camera.
wow❤❤❤
🤩🤩🤩🤩
Why does it look like you have used an anamorphic lens?
No offence, I would just like to know how to replicate it :D
My guess it's because I cropped the top and the bottom and also I've set the aspect ratio of the video to 2:1 (3840 x 1920).
@@Romafedorov Thank you 😊
Iso 50 is not the best image quality, the native iso i think is 100.
It won't have a cinematic effect because it's very dark.
I expected more than that, it can be deleted!
I refuse to delete it!
