This genius is yet to be graced with Bharat Ratna. Such volume of work for 60 years while excelling in every genre of music. In fact India shall feel proud.
Even the great mastro Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna was also not awarded a BharataRatna. The only reasons I recall are (1) not being a singer of Hindustani music and (2) not being a north Indian singer. MS Subbulakshmi also gets disqualified with the above two, but may be by mistake she was chosen for the BharataRatna.
Best classical singer born in India during last 100 yrs. Only person singing both light and classical in high quality. Various musicians without singing light or without singing in film getting LOT of extra time for practice than yesudas not able to sing like him.god gifted perfect voice . Any range he is going stressfree

Dr. K J Yesudas is the one and only strong link connecting the presentday people with carnatic Classical musics.

Simhendriya madhyamam is at the best though there are jerks in the track. As per my knowledge, this is the only song dasettan has sung in this ragam.
