Love this bird. He is full of spit and fire. People can be cruel however. I hope no one tries to harm him. He is not an ordinary turkey. Many are friendly and warm up to humans.

During the summer & fall, I occasionally see a group of wild hen turkeys & a single male in the pasture by the road. On some days, led by the male, they would slowly be in line formation traversing across the highway. (As the chicken joke goes, it's to reach the other side!) It was fascinating to watch them in all their glorious fluff & finery! Living in a rural to semi-rural area, I'm fortunate to catch glimpses of nature whether it be a stag deer, does & fawns, edgy coyotes who seem to trust no one, golden-red foxes rushing back to their den & Mother rabbits munching grass as her tiny baby bunnies face each other in a boxing match! I never knew baby bunnies would face each other like prize fighters & box with their soft, furry paw/fists! Mike Tyson ain't got a chance! As if by magic, witnessing these natural treasures as the sun rises lifts my heart & spirit.

i used to live in a place where they were EVERYWHERE. they would circle cars and when you honk at them, they attack the cars. like peck holes in the paint. i swear i heard one yell "SPARTA" before he drop kicked someones side panel. from time to time, youll see them roaming around the city in norcal. we all just avoid them lol
