  • This is the updated version for the WDI toilet inlet valve, which tells you how to do it the proper way replacing all the important parts without removing the bottom of the valve from the toilet cistern. The WDI Novelli grey and white toilet inlet valve can be fully repaired this way without removing the base from the cistern. Valves can be purchased from here:

    Thanks for the awesome video.
I didn't realise on my toilet you needed to rotate the shaft or float then adjust.
You saved me some frustration 😂

For anyone with a very slow leak into the toilet bowl with a Novelli cistern, check the washers in both halves of the inlet valve when it's apart (as shown in this video). Mine just had a couple tiny flakes of PVC preventing it from sealing properly. Even when it's a very tight fit in the right side of the cistern, first remove the flush valve by turning the main body a couple clicks and pulling it up, that way you can hold the base of the inlet valve to remove it, there's just enough room.

Hi Richard. Yes I've watched it. The top piece appears broken despite changing the washer, so was wondering if only that piece can be replaced instead of the entire inlet valve. If so, where can I buy one?

Hi Richard, great video but where can I get the washer replacements. Bunnings don’t have them. Who makes the product? Thank you

What if I can't twist it anti clock wise, it has been fitted on the right side. No room for movement that way

Thanks Richard. Just what I was looking for.... one of my cistern seals has squashed down just enough for it to briefly overflow before shutting off. I dropped the level a tad, we'll get a bit mor life out of it now.

If the toilet is overflowing into the toilet bowl, which part needs replacement?

If it is overflowing into the overflow tube then it is the inlet valve that needs replacement

@@richardharrison6439 thank you so much for that. Yes its overflowing into the overflow pipe and then into the toilet bowl.

@@richardharrison6439on my old one water didn’t come out from the spigot and I had no need for the tube. But on my replacement one, water does fill the cistern via the spigot. How do I change that so it will fill from the bottom and not from the spigot, as it did previously?

Hi. I've got an issue with my inlet valve and wondering if I can replace just the float cap onto the existing adjustment rod. The toilet cannot easily be dismantled as it's solid to the wall and well glued
