Metro is a transportation with high capacity but high cost, eg, cost of dehli metro is around 0.75 billon USD per kilometer underground, elevated might cost half of it, but still expensive. However to a city with ten millon people, traffic on the ground is overwhelmed, so I believe it is necessary and meaningful to develope metro.

@@MrScientific007 it's not old concept. It's about ridership. All Lahore Rawalpindi Islamabad and multan metro bus are designed in a way that they can be converted into Rail in future if ridership increases. However I haven't idea about Peshawar brt and karachi U/C Brt.
