I like the F-4s. They’re by no means the best, but I think they’re neat; nice balance between a support plane that can help team mates and a decent dog fighter in the right situation. Kinda feels like the perfect ‘learning top tier’ plane for pilots who wanna sharpen skills
Im absolutelt not new to top tier, but extremely new to radar missiles, so im not quite used to the 11.3 top tier yet. Just unlocked the AIM7Fs on the EJ Kai, but i cant use them for shit and it pisses me off. I dont really know how to approach a fight with radar missiles and it really hurts
@@bruhdealer3505 Fire them beyond 7km from your target. The 7Fs have a longer burn time than the E2s, but don’t turn as well. So you’ll want to be further from your target, ideally between 7 and 14 km. Frankly they’ll be more useful if you position yourself well before the furball starts. Since you have a PD radar, staying low to the ground should give you a decent advantage. Fire those 7Fs when the enemy is flying towards you. I do this with the F-4J and it works pretty well for me.
*The J-7E is by far my personal favourite* I can't really describe what it is that makes it so pleasing to fly, but it just feels like what I would have imagined an F-16 to be, in terms of fligh performance/handling
It is good, I played with it a lot, but not any more after its repair cost goes beyond 20000 and all those AIM-7Fs flying in the air...Now my personal favorite is the Mirage2k, you should really try it out
@@uiop7204 yeah but the repair cost is high bc that plane actually lives through most wins. It's not like the f14 where you're gonna get a lot of kills but you're also gonna have a ton of deaths. You can really survive in the j7e
The F-16 cropped-delta wing and the J-7E double delta, as far as War Thhunder goes, will have pretty similar configurations. I'm kind of curious to see how the J-10C and the Rafale will perform.
Before the PL-5B "buff" (when the missile was too fast to turn), at 5k alt, I used to consistently get kills as far as 7km. It was wild getting almost BVR kills with an IR missile.
The F5E is still a very strong plane imo, you can fly around people as much as you want, exept J7E but most of the time you'll be able to get him and it is always a great dogfight :D
His previous video he said the F-5E was low key the best plane, but I think he just loves the insane thrust and cracked PL-5Bs too much to give it an honorable mention anymore.
@@MrConceito F5E is damn good but it gets dusted by an F14, M2000, J7E and if the MLD then its sort of tough but in a sustained dogfight the MLD will just stomp it
@@stefanmichaelsenzegarra5688 F-5E can hold Mach 0.98 without losing speed in a 9G turn, the only other plane that can do anything close to that is the J-7E. In a sustained turn fight the F-5E's energy retention at Mach 0.9 to Mach 1 is bonkers and you can just loop around in circles until the other guy drops down to 500kph and you can dust him from there. What helps a lot is that the vast majority of players at top tier will go full send and just hold down S in a dogfight with zero concern for their airspeed until they realise they're practically falling out of the sky whilst you're still doing Mach 0.9
As someone who's only flown (and finally spaded) the F-104S ASA out of this list, I have to say I'm very torn on its inclusion. On one hand, I've done extremely well with it in some battles, wiping four people within about ten seconds and then supporting my team to victory. On the other, I've been SARH'd into oblivion more times than I can count, I've been tunnel-visioned and obliterated by the entire enemy team, and I've been on the receiving end of more "me against the world" battles than I'd like thanks to shit teams. The F-104S ASA cannot carry battles, it simply cannot. However, it CAN be a lot of fun when your enemies aren't paying enough attention, and you get the rare instance of being able to rack up kill after kill.
I think 4 9Ls have a massive impact to play for your team, especially considering you almost always fight f-14s. Get behind one and fire a 9L and there’s literally nothing it can do about it. if the match maker wasn’t all f-14s and if 9Ls weren’t so strong, it wouldn’t have made it
@@SeekerHead Oh yeah, blind F-14As were Lima bait, and that was fantastic. Problem was, getting on their six and hoping they're blind is not the most reliable strategy. It's my main issue with the F-104S ASA. It's a fantastic plane in top-tier... if your enemies aren't that good. If they are, and especially of your team isn't, it's a nightmare to play.
it doesn’t really matter if they’re blind or not, if u fire from behind there’s literally nothing left they can do to not die, and the chance of them being able to keep u off of their 6 the entirety of the match without dying to someone else or contributing nothing to their own team is pretty much 0. just a tough time to be an f-14 if there’s an ASA or harrier in the match
When the ASA was first added I did incredibly well with it, but now I really never do well with it, idk if i've just lost my edge or what but it seems to not be as good as it used to be
My F-104A flying pencil can completely out-dogfight any J-7E. It has the superior missile loadout (2x Aim-9b's that have cracked range) and the better turning circle at 200 football fields instead of the measly 2 football fields. I don't know what you're on Mr. Seeker Head but I think the F-104A is the best plane in the game.
What’s funny is I actually agree and I’ve never flown the J7-E. I have the MLA, F14, Mirage 2000 and Viggen and nothing scares me more than seeing a J7-E behind me because I know I’m fucked. No plane has better energy retention and maneuverability and even considering how long I’ve played, especially with the viggen, nothing compares.
Fr tho, the J7E is absolutely terrifying. But since I've gotten the Gr7, I haven't lost a dogfight yet in terms of 1 circle. I've clapped mirages like they're easy, been wanting to find and fight a J7E in a enclosed environment. If anything could beat the J7E I'd think the Gr7 could honestly do it done right
@@jacobdewey2053 I already did a 1v1 against a mirage 2k in sim just a few days ago. In the end I still managed to barely beat him but it did show the 2k has more to offer. GR7 has a better first turn while the mirage of course has better consistent turns. Either way i wouldn't mind doing another 1v1 against another pilot. If your fine doing it in sim that is It even gave me one of my best kills in months lmao,
Im honestly a fan of the Japanese F-1, idk why but just feels really good in combat, and turns way faster than advertised on its stat card all while having Aim-9P’s
I agree with your comments on the Mirage 2000. a 4x R.550 Magic 2 loadout would be great for it. Unfortunately, despite being 30 Gs instead of 25, I still prefer AIM-7Fs over the Super 530Ds. In my experience the 7Fs are actually harder to dodge, because for some reason it feels like the 530Ds overlead really hard sometimes like the AIM-9L used to do. They're great most of the time, but due to the inconsistency I'd rather have AIM-7Fs... or 2x more Magic 2s.
Maybe in the meta, but I've found relatively careful shots with the 530D are extremely reliable. The difference I've found with 7Fs is that on most other planes, you just get more of them, so you can afford to miss one or two and still get kills with the rest.
i don't understand why the 530 are so slow ingame too, i understand higher drag when the motor runs out, but it should be hauling ass as longs as the motor is burning
@@nicolaspeigne1429 it definitely gets fast eventually, probably faster than an AIM-7F. But since it’s motor doesn’t last as long, it’s only at a higher speed for a short duration while the AIM-7F continues chugging along at high speed with its sustainer motor
I use 4 Phoenix 2 7F and 2 9H loadout, which is USN standard loadout, and manual radar targetting. Avoid dogfight unless its a 1v1. Fox 3 is amazing if you launch it above 5000m and give it long enough distance to accelerate. The secret of this loadout is that once you get rid of all of the Fox 3s (which should be much faster than Fox 1s), you are much lighter than those carrying 4 7F, which I figure constantly surprises enemy trying to dogfight me. Another surprise is the flap, when its slow enough to deploy your combat flap, you can out turn everyone.
surprised the EJ Kai didn’t make the list, i know it’s a phantom with average IR missiles but man that radar and 7F combo is disgusting. if it ever gets 9L/AAM3 i could see it being anywhere in current the top 3
Way too many people sleep on the J7E and think it's just another MiG-21 until they're absolutely slapped around by it. I've had way too many F-14 players thinking they can just ratefight it like they can with pretty much every other plane.
Mirage unfortunately makes sense. The 530D’s are Aim-7M equivalent, but the radar is closer to that of a Hornet than an Eagle (which BTW will be broken when it comes). Very limited in range and capability. As for J-7E it actually IRL in Pakistan was touted as going head to head with Eagles in war games in an ACM scenario. It’ll shine less when everyone gets good IR missiles.
For the MLD, you can slave your R60s to the IRST, the extra AOA to keep lock inside the gimble limit or just outside of it ;). The SAAB 35XS has the same thing. The RB24Js are absolutely leathal at 3km and if you arent spotted and use just outside the edge of the limit for lead! Ground out most of the tree in a very short amount of time with that one. Not many flares with the trade off of only needing one at a time if you cut your afterburner. This video seems to be Jets you hate lol.
1-4 I agree with mostly. I would strongly disagree with having the F104 anywhere near a top tier list. If it had a more normal RWR it would be fine, but having to guess where SARH shots are coming from is painful even if 9l's are quite good. I'd give 5th to the f4ej kai(best of the PD phantoms) or mabye the j8b(with pl5's. Radar isnt good enough to justify taking the aspides and only have 2 IR missiles). Both have their own issues but are more reliable, can still mop up lots of kills early match, and have a much better potential to close out games that end up close than the pencil.
the harrier is a subsonic 11.0 that bleeds speed like a delta. It’s solely carried by 9Ls, the flight performance otherwise would never let it be competitive. Somewhat of the same story on the asa, except you know, it actually goes fast
@@SeekerHead maybe so yes, but the harrier has a lot of charm, it has a great angle of attack, great turnrate with a boost of its vtol abilities. It has 2 great canons, and powerful cas abilities if sb wants to grind other aircrafts out. F104? Its a flying pencil it doesnt have any advantages besides its speed. Playing harrier 7 with lets say aim G would be actually doable and still fun. F104? not at all Adding to the fact that now basically everything wich is not an f14 flies under 1k meters so speed difference is marginal imo
The MLD is my favorite top tier plane. It suits my playstyle. I'm either super aggressive with my 24R's or im playing sneaky aggressive with the 24T's and I absolutely love energy trapping / forcing people to fight on my terms when i get the chance to 1v1. I say this, the MLD can still hold it's own against the F14 if you fly it right. Yea the F14 can do everything you can do but better but the MLD has better energy retention in the long run if you can survive the first 2 turns. Most F14 pilots i've fought, bleed all of their energy trying to pull AOA but that can get you killed easily. P.S J7E is still the best top tier jet. The flight performance is just cracked.

There is no way nobody has mentioned the Scimitar. *ok hear me out* The engine power it has can get it at like 700mph in no time at all and the climb rate is insane, maneuverability is alright apart from the slight lazy rudder. In my opinion it shines the most in Operation maps like Vietnam and such In short, you can outspeed and outclimb almost everything in every match you will be in and you have enough fire power to nuke a small country and the aim 9bs are useful occasionally Play it as a boom and zoomer and you will rake kills like its nothing im currently 44-9 with it. Researching tier 4 mods and still have a free repair left 😂 Honorable mention: Meteor G41K
Hey seeker, I know you think that the J7E is really good, and I would have to agree, but could you do a dogfight on the channel between it and an F5E just to see how they stack up against each other because I believe the F5E is a top 5 plane
I agree that it’s flight performance is near on par with the j7E, it just really lacks in the missile department. The j7E gets 4 pl5s with 30gs of overload whereas the f5 only gets 2 aim9Js with only 20gs of overload

I like this list and agree with 1 and 2 especially, but I feel like the bis-SAU and J8B deserve a spot somewhere, but I just don't know where. Then again that may just be because of my playstyle.
Agree with everything except J-7, of course. It doesn’t have good gun and it simply has only 4 missiles, so F-14 definitely beats him in terms of top-1 plane, imo even mirage is better right now than the J-7
this comment is a bit late but TBH I think that the aim 9 H is not bad. It's close to the exact same as an aim 9 G but it performs as good if not better than the aim 9 J because of how you can use it's high FOV on the f14 paired with it's radar.
From my experience, the MLA beats the J7e in a sustained dogfight by a close margin, the J7e is better in the one circle though and definitely more survivable.
The MLA wins if it manages to completely deplete the J7s speed. The problem is that when doing that the J7 gets at least 3 shots in before that happens, which is 3 opportunities to win before the MLA can. If the J7 misses or doesn’t take advantage of those chances though, then yeah the MLA will eventually be able to just hold S
@@SeekerHead Valid point, I am an average player but I had dogfights in a MLA with J7e's taking them two circle and was able to just avoid the guns every time by taking them into spirals and forcing the rate fight, even at low speeds, and was out rating the J7e with wings fully swept forward. I believe the MLA is a superior dogfighter when it comes to two circle rate fighting. Anyway thanks for responding Seeker Head ❤

The F-14 I would put at first it does have that flaw whith flares but once you learn to notch IRs while just cutting burner and a few flares it’s pretty damn good
My top tier is 1.F-14 2. mirage2000 3. phantom ej kai 4. mig 23 mla/mld 5. Viggen but that is for sim bcs i hate playing realistic battles where it actually have nothing in comon with realism so i play sim to have atleast a bit of it and there for top tier you need to have good radar and radar missiles other wise everyone is gonna out range you and a side a good ir missile for close fight when u already merge with someone.
I prefer the JA-37 it's just got that double Delta of the draken (at a weaker angle) but it has the engine power of the 2000. Plus the missiles are really good and the radar will stick to anything and very rarely loose lock

The J7E is absolutely the best plane imo also. Where I might disagree with you is that I think you underplay how well the J7E dogfights against the f14. Now 1v1 due to the radar the F14 has a huge advantage. But fights within air RB matches as they play out. Not only would I say that I'm rarely outflown by an F14 but that the F14 is my primary target simply bc it is fairly easy to kill. You can't put the f14 1st bc they never live through matches. At the end of the match it's always someone else. Never the f14.
I've seen F-14 mains with like 5 K/D's absolutely rinse J-7E pilots, it's rare, but since both of these aircraft are mainstream now it's rare that either pilots are completely competent or experienced. The F-14 simply is better because you can squeeze out the most performance from it, which is a absolutely amazing thing, it adds depth to the aircraft. Likewise with the J-7E but the average player is going to be able to maximize its performance with less time and more optimally, which is what makes such a dominant airframe.
Saying the viggen cannot outdogfight the J7E is not factual, I don't know if I'm fighting a5c players in disguise or I'm a competent pilot, but I've very rarely been out done by any plane at top tier, and this was just in the aj37 which has to carry 1 gunpod on one wing and a flare pod on the other. Had some struggles with mig23 players but never died to them in the 1v1 dogfight and the same goes for the J7E
First of all I use a joystick so getting gun kills with some aircraft is more difficult than using a mouse (a few aircraft flop around like a fish on land) ..and I'm not that good and don't take it too seriously. Anyway I haven't got the J7E, so for me I'd say 1: Mig 23MLD, 2: F14, 3: Viggen, 4: Mirage 2000, 5: maybe F104 asa or Mig 21bis. However I wouldn't say these are my favourites or what I do best in.
no matter how much you “know how to use it” or how you fly it, it’s flight performance is simply inferior to the M2K, J7 and f14 in every single metric. Even the MLA/MLD have some very large exploitations over it
I disagree with your assessment of the 9Hs. I think them having almost the same G pull as 9Js but having such a larger FOV makes them still quite useful if you know how to lead them out on unsuspecting targets. I tend to get kills with more than half of my 9H launches. I'd put them at tier 2 on your scale personally.
the J8 is good but it’s just a mig21 with 4 PL5s. i wouldn’t personally grind china just for the j7, mig29 is coming out soon anyway, but if you want go for it

Problem is flight performance wise currently there is nothing that beats the J7 in every way. it’s actually the opposite, the J7 out performs everything but the F-14 in every single metric. The PL5s are also extremely meta missiles imo bc the way u get kills in top tier is people don’t know ur shooting at them. PL5 is a perfect recipe for that, only being beaten out in this regard by the R24T, but u can only carry 2 of those.
It’s really not that bad. If you play russian guns (it’s a russian gun) you’re used to low ammo, high damage guns. With experience you can stretch those 60 rounds to 3/5 kills easily, just gonna take some practice
I must be doing something very wrong cause you say that IR missiles are the most important thing right now, while I go out with my f14 and force head-on owning everyone with amazing radar and great aim7-fs. I cant fathom how the IR missiles can win in radar meta. Even from behind the enemy I find the aim7 is a lot more effective than any IR missile. Am I completely lost? Please, throw me some rope on this issue.
@@jaek__ I think it's because seeker head is lowkey mid and doesn't know how to use radar missiles very well. I think he relies on sneaking fox-2s up peoples tailpipe because he doesn't find missile jousting with fox-1s very effective for him.
Hard disagree with your assessment of the J-7E being the absolute best dogfighter in the game. I think that the Mirage 2k is the better aircraft still. I've 1v1'd people with my mirage 2k and come out on top easily. My personal list is 1. F-14A 2. Mirage 2k (close second, F-14 has more missiles which gives it the edge imo) 3. J-7E 4. Mig-23MLD/MLA 5. JA-37C Regardless, playing the mirage 2k has me incredibly excited for when they add the F-16

I would argue that the mig 19 is the best 1v1 dogfight aircraft. I personally have not done a 1v1 between the mig 19 and the J7, but i have with every other plane. And the mig 19 either slaughters the other plane, or slaughters with extra steps. I would love to test it, but until i see it, the mig 19 will be the best in my eyes.
The F-22 could be added and still fall short of Seeker's glorious J7E.

Bis SAU is my favourite personally! i really struggle in the F-14, and MLA is still a monster! But i have the most fun in the GR.7

What’s funny is I actually agree and I’ve never flown the J7-E. I have the MLA, F14, Mirage 2000 and Viggen and nothing scares me more than seeing a J7-E behind me because I know I’m fucked. No plane has better energy retention and maneuverability and even considering how long I’ve played, especially with the viggen, nothing compares.

Fr tho, the J7E is absolutely terrifying. But since I've gotten the Gr7, I haven't lost a dogfight yet in terms of 1 circle. I've clapped mirages like they're easy, been wanting to find and fight a J7E in a enclosed environment. If anything could beat the J7E I'd think the Gr7 could honestly do it done right

I agree with your comments on the Mirage 2000. a 4x R.550 Magic 2 loadout would be great for it. Unfortunately, despite being 30 Gs instead of 25, I still prefer AIM-7Fs over the Super 530Ds. In my experience the 7Fs are actually harder to dodge, because for some reason it feels like the 530Ds overlead really hard sometimes like the AIM-9L used to do. They're great most of the time, but due to the inconsistency I'd rather have AIM-7Fs... or 2x more Magic 2s.

Maybe in the meta, but I've found relatively careful shots with the 530D are extremely reliable. The difference I've found with 7Fs is that on most other planes, you just get more of them, so you can afford to miss one or two and still get kills with the rest.

@@nicolaspeigne1429 it definitely gets fast eventually, probably faster than an AIM-7F. But since it’s motor doesn’t last as long, it’s only at a higher speed for a short duration while the AIM-7F continues chugging along at high speed with its sustainer motor

I use 4 Phoenix 2 7F and 2 9H loadout, which is USN standard loadout, and manual radar targetting. Avoid dogfight unless its a 1v1. Fox 3 is amazing if you launch it above 5000m and give it long enough distance to accelerate. The secret of this loadout is that once you get rid of all of the Fox 3s (which should be much faster than Fox 1s), you are much lighter than those carrying 4 7F, which I figure constantly surprises enemy trying to dogfight me. Another surprise is the flap, when its slow enough to deploy your combat flap, you can out turn everyone.

Way too many people sleep on the J7E and think it's just another MiG-21 until they're absolutely slapped around by it. I've had way too many F-14 players thinking they can just ratefight it like they can with pretty much every other plane.
Mirage unfortunately makes sense. The 530D’s are Aim-7M equivalent, but the radar is closer to that of a Hornet than an Eagle (which BTW will be broken when it comes). Very limited in range and capability.
As for J-7E it actually IRL in Pakistan was touted as going head to head with Eagles in war games in an ACM scenario. It’ll shine less when everyone gets good IR missiles.

For the MLD, you can slave your R60s to the IRST, the extra AOA to keep lock inside the gimble limit or just outside of it ;). The SAAB 35XS has the same thing. The RB24Js are absolutely leathal at 3km and if you arent spotted and use just outside the edge of the limit for lead! Ground out most of the tree in a very short amount of time with that one. Not many flares with the trade off of only needing one at a time if you cut your afterburner. This video seems to be Jets you hate lol.
1-4 I agree with mostly. I would strongly disagree with having the F104 anywhere near a top tier list. If it had a more normal RWR it would be fine, but having to guess where SARH shots are coming from is painful even if 9l's are quite good. I'd give 5th to the f4ej kai(best of the PD phantoms) or mabye the j8b(with pl5's. Radar isnt good enough to justify taking the aspides and only have 2 IR missiles). Both have their own issues but are more reliable, can still mop up lots of kills early match, and have a much better potential to close out games that end up close than the pencil.
The lack of harrier with a presence of f104 is the most disturbing thing I've witnessed today
the harrier is a subsonic 11.0 that bleeds speed like a delta. It’s solely carried by 9Ls, the flight performance otherwise would never let it be competitive. Somewhat of the same story on the asa, except you know, it actually goes fast
@@SeekerHead maybe so yes, but the harrier has a lot of charm, it has a great angle of attack, great turnrate with a boost of its vtol abilities. It has 2 great canons, and powerful cas abilities if sb wants to grind other aircrafts out.
F104? Its a flying pencil it doesnt have any advantages besides its speed.
Playing harrier 7 with lets say aim G would be actually doable and still fun.

F8E is soooo underrated ! (70% victory, mostly at top tier, 5 K/D ratio)
The MLD is my favorite top tier plane. It suits my playstyle. I'm either super aggressive with my 24R's or im playing sneaky aggressive with the 24T's and I absolutely love energy trapping / forcing people to fight on my terms when i get the chance to 1v1. I say this, the MLD can still hold it's own against the F14 if you fly it right. Yea the F14 can do everything you can do but better but the MLD has better energy retention in the long run if you can survive the first 2 turns. Most F14 pilots i've fought, bleed all of their energy trying to pull AOA but that can get you killed easily.
P.S J7E is still the best top tier jet. The flight performance is just cracked.

The engine power it has can get it at like 700mph in no time at all and the climb rate is insane, maneuverability is alright apart from the slight lazy rudder. In my opinion it shines the most in Operation maps like Vietnam and such
In short, you can outspeed and outclimb almost everything in every match you will be in and you have enough fire power to nuke a small country and the aim 9bs are useful occasionally
Play it as a boom and zoomer and you will rake kills like its nothing im currently 44-9 with it. Researching tier 4 mods and still have a free repair left 😂

I agree that it’s flight performance is near on par with the j7E, it just really lacks in the missile department. The j7E gets 4 pl5s with 30gs of overload whereas the f5 only gets 2 aim9Js with only 20gs of overload

Agree with everything except J-7, of course. It doesn’t have good gun and it simply has only 4 missiles, so F-14 definitely beats him in terms of top-1 plane, imo even mirage is better right now than the J-7
this comment is a bit late but TBH I think that the aim 9 H is not bad. It's close to the exact same as an aim 9 G but it performs as good if not better than the aim 9 J because of how you can use it's high FOV on the f14 paired with it's radar.
From my experience, the MLA beats the J7e in a sustained dogfight by a close margin, the J7e is better in the one circle though and definitely more survivable.
The MLA wins if it manages to completely deplete the J7s speed. The problem is that when doing that the J7 gets at least 3 shots in before that happens, which is 3 opportunities to win before the MLA can. If the J7 misses or doesn’t take advantage of those chances though, then yeah the MLA will eventually be able to just hold S
@@SeekerHead Valid point, I am an average player but I had dogfights in a MLA with J7e's taking them two circle and was able to just avoid the guns every time by taking them into spirals and forcing the rate fight, even at low speeds, and was out rating the J7e with wings fully swept forward. I believe the MLA is a superior dogfighter when it comes to two circle rate fighting.

Personally in every dogfight i had in my J-7E against any cat, ive yet to lose an actual dogfight, the J-7E often outrates the tomcat easily. (Just an fyi, this is from a sim player's perspective)

The F-14 I would put at first it does have that flaw whith flares but once you learn to notch IRs while just cutting burner and a few flares it’s pretty damn good

Viggen but that is for sim bcs i hate playing realistic battles where it actually have nothing in comon with realism so i play sim to have atleast a bit of it and there for top tier you need to have good radar and radar missiles other wise everyone is gonna out range you and a side a good ir missile for close fight when u already merge with someone.

I prefer the JA-37 it's just got that double Delta of the draken (at a weaker angle) but it has the engine power of the 2000. Plus the missiles are really good and the radar will stick to anything and very rarely loose lock

The J7E is absolutely the best plane imo also. Where I might disagree with you is that I think you underplay how well the J7E dogfights against the f14. Now 1v1 due to the radar the F14 has a huge advantage. But fights within air RB matches as they play out. Not only would I say that I'm rarely outflown by an F14 but that the F14 is my primary target simply bc it is fairly easy to kill.
You can't put the f14 1st bc they never live through matches. At the end of the match it's always someone else. Never the f14.
I've seen F-14 mains with like 5 K/D's absolutely rinse J-7E pilots, it's rare, but since both of these aircraft are mainstream now it's rare that either pilots are completely competent or experienced.
The F-14 simply is better because you can squeeze out the most performance from it, which is a absolutely amazing thing, it adds depth to the aircraft.
Likewise with the J-7E but the average player is going to be able to maximize its performance with less time and more optimally, which is what makes such a dominant airframe.

Honestly I think the f14 not being able to flare missiles is another one of gaijins attempts to balance it unrealistically.
Saying the viggen cannot outdogfight the J7E is not factual, I don't know if I'm fighting a5c players in disguise or I'm a competent pilot, but I've very rarely been out done by any plane at top tier, and this was just in the aj37 which has to carry 1 gunpod on one wing and a flare pod on the other. Had some struggles with mig23 players but never died to them in the 1v1 dogfight and the same goes for the J7E

First of all I use a joystick so getting gun kills with some aircraft is more difficult than using a mouse (a few aircraft flop around like a fish on land) ..and I'm not that good and don't take it too seriously. Anyway I haven't got the J7E, so for me I'd say 1: Mig 23MLD, 2: F14, 3: Viggen, 4: Mirage 2000, 5: maybe F104 asa or Mig 21bis. However I wouldn't say these are my favourites or what I do best in.

I disagree with your assessment of the 9Hs. I think them having almost the same G pull as 9Js but having such a larger FOV makes them still quite useful if you know how to lead them out on unsuspecting targets. I tend to get kills with more than half of my 9H launches. I'd put them at tier 2 on your scale personally.

I don’t know why but every time I shoot a aim7 they notch 90 degrees and flare/chaff dump I lose the lock but the missile still hits any ideas?

Problem is flight performance wise currently there is nothing that beats the J7 in every way. it’s actually the opposite, the J7 out performs everything but the F-14 in every single metric. The PL5s are also extremely meta missiles imo bc the way u get kills in top tier is people don’t know ur shooting at them. PL5 is a perfect recipe for that, only being beaten out in this regard by the R24T, but u can only carry 2 of those.

It’s really not that bad. If you play russian guns (it’s a russian gun) you’re used to low ammo, high damage guns. With experience you can stretch those 60 rounds to 3/5 kills easily, just gonna take some practice
I must be doing something very wrong cause you say that IR missiles are the most important thing right now, while I go out with my f14 and force head-on owning everyone with amazing radar and great aim7-fs.
I cant fathom how the IR missiles can win in radar meta. Even from behind the enemy I find the aim7 is a lot more effective than any IR missile.

Hard disagree with your assessment of the J-7E being the absolute best dogfighter in the game. I think that the Mirage 2k is the better aircraft still. I've 1v1'd people with my mirage 2k and come out on top easily. My personal list is

I would argue that the mig 19 is the best 1v1 dogfight aircraft. I personally have not done a 1v1 between the mig 19 and the J7, but i have with every other plane. And the mig 19 either slaughters the other plane, or slaughters with extra steps. I would love to test it, but until i see it, the mig 19 will be the best in my eyes.
