OK, this was bloody awesome. Perhaps my favourite Kibler game.
not only was this deck just way too much fun all around, I love all the little details that show kibler's savvy with the game-the plays with the voodoo dolls into cone of cold on them, for example. it's not just about the value but knowing how to use it, and that is NEAT.

Soundbwoi Roca pretty sure tess would've cleared. Double dragons fury for a 66% at 4 damage each. An arcane explosion for 1 meaning it does AT LEAST 7 damage if one fury hits a spider and his weapon can clean it up. There's also like 4 sheep and a cone of cold or something. Worst comes to worst he still has a vape.
Tess was still the 100% winrate play and all for the memes.

Did you not play when Yogg was around? I'm pretty sure he has a vendetta against your own minions because I've never seen one hit an enemy minion with cone of cold.

At around 12:15, wouldn't playing black cat into dragon's fury better? You could've played Elise that turn if you did that

He was saving the Elise for a double play. Still, the Black Cat was the better play. His play put 2 copies of Dragon's Fury into Tess' pool of cards instead of 1. When playing a Tess deck, you should do your best to mitigate the negative synergies like that.

That black cat not being used made me mad
I have made a Tess deck (a little different; not a spooder variant), and I have noticed having quite a bit of trouble against aggro (namely Paladin) and a really bad matchup against combo decks like Shudderwock and Malgyos Druid. Is there a strategy against them, or is it just the nature of the beast to be so horribly disadvantaged against them? It feels like I need to be running largely early game/aggro options just to keep up or apply enough pressure.

12:20 miss play. Could have blackcat then drag fury.. which does 5 dmg. To add on, he can play more stuff in general
How come backstab is bad in the matchup against control mage? They keep spawning 3/6s and you keep spawning 4/4s. Also, artificers have 2 health.
I think he meant that it is mostly bad, as in it does not have a lot of targets. Artificers are good targets, but since you're not guaranteed to spawn 4/4s, it may not be good to use on the 3/6. Mostly good as a Vilespine activator.
How important is elise... I dont want to craft a legendary this close to expansion release

I do agree with playing black cat, but playing Tess with dragon's fury in the pool and 4 damage in the deck could result in him wiping his own board as well. After he played dragon's fury he had to wait until his deck was free of spells to get the board presence

Alex Yu yeah thats how it is in Magic the Gathering. You can hold on to as many cards as you can want during your turn, and have as many minions as you can spawn. The only restriction is at the end of your turn you have to discard cards until you have 7 cards or less in hand. But it is not unusual to have 20-30 card hands in certain formats(like commander for example)

Ik nobody cares but I feel like i have to say it. Idk about big spell mage, it feels so lackluster, most control decks outlast you, aggro is a coinflip, you don't have any good minions to play early, you don't really interact with the board except the clears and dragon's fury looses usability in the late game. Maybe is just me, but the older control mages deck variations were more fun to play than this.
It doesn't have sexy value generation like rogue in this video and flavorwise I agree. But even with the bullshit value generation of Kibler, the mage was still in the game for the longest time. It's an extremely resilient deck.
Moto, I think it can be boiled down to one card, which is the death knight jaina. I think, if control didn't have that one card they wouldn't have lasted that long.
Kibler's "Stolen" deck on the other hand, has pickpocket, tess, the spooders just to name a few more interesting cards to win a game.
Naturally, you could argue that rogue steal deck requires some decent luck just like casino mage was luck based.
It has a fair matchup against every deck in the meta except Token Druid and Shudderwock.
