A stunning Arsenal win against West Ham United during that season!!!Arsenal for life and Arsenal till I die!!!Forever Arsenal and Come On You Gunners!!! :-D
l remember being at this match, my 2nd visit to highbury with west ham, (first time was f.a cup quarter final previous season)...was in the north bank with majority of west ham, the police kept us penned in to the back of what was a huge terrace. it was always the same back then a big ruck at 10 to 3 ...then hordes of old bill... good memories
I was also at that match with a group of mates right behind the North Bank goal. All of us were West Ham supporters. I’d also been to the two previous visits to Highbury, a 3-0 loss in the league and the 2-0 FA Cup win.
dan, Thanks again for this fine win by Arsenal. Good play from Alan Ball particularly and Brian Kidd-tough afternoon for poor embattled Mervyn Day! Well presented as always by Brian Moore. Thanks for your excellent coverage of Arsenal in this era.
Mole Maguires yes West Ham were in the north bank and had a go but I wouldn’t say they took the north bank and if it wasn’t for old bill they would have taken a good hiding

This could have been far worse for the Hammers but for the goalkeeping heroics of Mervyn Day.

Brian Kidd wasn't bad for us scoring a hat-trick against West Ham.
Alan Ball missing the first penalty but getting it right the next time.
just watched this on BT, they showed Brian Kidd throwing 2 elbows and kick out under refs nose, but they didnt show it in this vid
