Hey mate, do you have any 1kd specialists in Perth you'd recommend? I usually do all the work myself but feel like injectors are a bit too much. Thanks in advance mate cheers
@@NoSaysJo Oh yeah either of the UFI workshops are meant to be the go to guys for injectors. I'm looking for someone to replace/rebuild my engine due to cracked #4 piston as described in Peters video here. Can't believe how hard it is to find someone to do it, try and avoid this issue if you possible can. It's an absolute nightmare.
@@SammyJ239 Sorry to hear mate, I had the exact same thing happen to my old engine. Now I'm very cautious with my car. Best of luck mate hope you get it sorted soon
I've had mine changed by toyota and since i have engine hesitation. Toyota say 'its normal'. How can i check that they did a proper job and its not the injectors they screwed up. It was expensive enough for my land cruiser!!!
why would diesel be leaking into the oil? my pickup leaked so much diesel into the oil that it fed into the turbo and had a little runaway, please help
engine care thankyou very much for your reply. what is the best device to use for this for a backyard guy. Don't really wanna spend 700 bucks plus on a scan tool if i can help it.
Mate you have not given the correct information on torque for those bolts . People don't listen to him you will strip bolts or break them . The clamp bolts are mandatory to replace .Don't replace with new and at least one out of 4 will break .then your in deep .
Good video - short but to the point. Cheers.
Thanks 👍
Love your work.
Thank you!
Excellent info!
Thanks for watching!
Is it okay to remove a four pin electronic injector and replace it with a two pin of same or if I let that happen would have screwed up my engine
Just a smal question, If you slightly bend the fuel lines to get the valve cover of, will it leak when you put it together?
Hi, if you have bent them you should replace them.
Don't believe this guy, with every injector change you must replace fuel lines .Toyota require it ..new injectors new pipes.. doesn't that make sense.
I change my injector and my 1kd start giving back smoke?

@@SammyJ239 Sadly not, I ended up going to Fremantle fuel injection. Pretty nice blokes and a fair price for what I got

Return rail leaks can cause that at least on other diesels I've worked on. Do a vacuum test on the return rail to see if there's any leakage.
@@tristandeall9781 hi it was the return rail, the banjo bolt was missing a washer, someone had previously worked on it
Do I need to manually program the injector codes into my ECU
Yes you will need to enter the codes into the ECU
