    These cards are great. Love the idea of stamping inside a laminating pouch. I love new ideas on how to use my laminator.

    If you don't have pigment ink, stamp with an embossing ink then sprinkle on your embossing powder. When you run your piece through the laminator the heat will melt your powder and trap it in between. Love all these ideas!

      @ariesgirl3444 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So Crystal, the embossing powder doesn't smudge with the pressure when it goes through the laminator?

    • @shaymarie7045
      @shaymarie7045 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking the same thing.

    • @amkarei
      @amkarei 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Educate me, please...that is such an interesting premise, but you really can't use an embossing buddy in that application, so how would you keep the embossing powder JUST on the stamped places where you want it? Don't mean to be a nay-sayer, but I'm thinking the static of the plastic laminating sheets would have the embossing powder all over inside the pouch.

    This is so clever! Instead of a piece of scrap cardstock, you could do a bookmark since you cut it off anyway. That way you don't waste cardstock and laminating sheet.

      I was thinking the cardstock could be slightly narrow, then stamp with sentiments. When cut and applied it would look like it's floating.

    I have been stamping on the inside of laminating pouches for years, but I never thought to use laminating pouches in a card. I do it for stamp storage. I stamp images on the inside of the pouch so that the stamp aligns with the image just as it does on the original registration sheet that comes with the stamp.
    I organize my stamps by theme rather than by manufacturer. I put white cardstock in the laminating pouch too so that I can write down info about the stamp and to make a sturdy backing.
    I love a good technique video.

    • @905lovest
      @905lovest 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      rtd1791, that is a BRILLIANT concept!!! I too am organizing all of my stamps and dies by theme, am almost finished doing clear/cling stamps and all dies, then I have to decide what to do with my wood-mounted stamps. I have used a ton of double-sided tape rolls to affix clear stamps to the acetate that usually came with the stamp set, but this would have been SO much better!!! I have put my stamps and dies in folders as well... If I was doing it again, I might not, but I had put too much into this to change... I do use laminating pouches for rubber cling stamps--when I started out doing this, I contacted manufacturers to see if it was safe to use acetate with the cling stamps and was told it was fine, but later was told that I should not use them. Instead of buying lots of commercially-available laminated pages, I bought an inexpensive laminator and used pouches myself. I love your idea and had to stop and say how brilliant is your idea.

    • @amkarei
      @amkarei 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      O - M - GOSH & BY GOLLY!!!! I've SOOOOOO been puzzling over how I was going to make index sheets for the theme-based sorting I'll be doing -- AND YOU BLESSED ME with the ANSWER!!! I thought of StaZon-stamped acetate sheets, but wasn't certain as to just how durable they would be over time, and, never having had experience w/ that product, I wasn't sure if I really wanted to brave it (It has a "reputation", you know! tee-hee) Thank you, THANK YOU, rtd1791!!!!! (By the way, any input on HOW you sort the sentiments stamps? Or do you use AIRTABLE or EVERNOTE to keep them from getting "lost"??) (PS: THX AGAIN!!!)

    This is brilliant!!!! Thanks for sharing....a tip, instead of putting the scrap of card stock in the top of the pouch, you can fold a piece of standard typing paper in half horozontally, and put the end of the pouch in it, like a folder and run that through, that way you can use the typing paper over and over.

      That doesn't work for me... Or yes it works but the lamination does not look that good at the area where the paper was... Maybe it's my laminator or the cheap laminating pouch?!
