Don’t you love when you find out something new and you’re overjoyed! And then you wonder why you didn’t think of it. Lol! Thank goodness for those amazing teachers we watch!
Yes I am so thankful for so many people who are so much more creative and smart than I am lol
Right?!? It’s like getting an unexpected gift. I’m often saying “I don’t know what I don’t know until I know” 😀. I have learned so, so, so much from TH-cam crafter-teachers 🥰
It is easier if you put the foam type onto some wax paper to cut up the middle of it to make smaller strips. Xx
Thank you so much for your hints and tricks! Your cards are beautiful!
Wow. Love this tip. Thank you so much for sharing!!!! ❤️
Thanks so much for sharing these tips!
Beautiful cards. Love my Misti and mini Misti!
Clever, Clever!! Beautiful cards! Thank you for the new tips with a misti.
Gorgeous cards and awesome MISTI techniques! ❤ Thank you Wendy!!
Love both cards and thank you for the Misti tips.
Thank you so much for the great ideas! I hadn’t thought of them either.
I really do love your cards and your new discoveries!!Yay!!!🎉Thanks for sharing with us and the window card is just so perfect LOVE ❤
Good tips and great cards Wendy ❤. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous cards - thank you so much for sharing the tips - so useful!
Both were beautiful cards, I love both so much ❤
Lifechanging! I love this!!
Love this ! Thank you for sharing this tip.
Beautiful cards & I love the Misti trick! I will Definitely be trying this! Thanks for sharing!
LOVE hearing your excitement about discovering this use of lining up the cards for a shaker card and the recessed sentiment. So fun! Thanks for sharing.
It doesn't take much to thrill me lol
So happy I came across your video, great Misti trick, I love my Misti and did not realize you could do that, like you say, ‘how did I not know that’….and loved listening to you threw this whole video, “that little pusher downer”, we speak the same language…and how excited you get when something works out so well, something you didn’t know before, love it!…sooo I’m now a subscriber and will do some catching up to your channel….loved your cards, I too love Black and White, I don’t do so well at coloring anything, and Wendy, happy crafting!
What a fantastic hack! Such gorgeous cards
TFS this great fun fold card as well as fun fold class !😊
Your cards turned out great! I use my Misti to line up card panels all the time it’s the best.
WOW! LOVE IT! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you. I love my Tim Holtz stamp platform for lining up everything. I cut down and old cricut mat and made my own sticky mat.
That's a great idea!
Yes, after I bought the expensive Misti sticky mats, my sister-in-law said she just cut up an old cricut mat. Hate wasting money! 😊
Really pretty bxw shadow sentiment card. TFS your technique!
Love these tips!! Thx for sharing 😊
Another cool “ someone else figured it out for me 😁idea”. Love you, thank you for the unforgettable awesomeness.😉😉😉
Love this card and the sentiment “window” idea. When cutting foam tape, I use the Tim Holtz non-stick serrated titanium scissors. They work well.
Wendy, next time you need to cut foam tape, place a piece of parchment paper on the sticky side, then cut to your hearts content,. you won't end up with sticky scissors and the foam tape won't stick to the scissors either.
Great tips! I haven’t used either of them. Thanks for sharing.
I love when you share your snippets with us….love your tips😊
Beautiful cards, I absolutely love the black and white one.♥️♥️
Simple and elegant as a black and white card! 😊
I love all the techniques, all of which are new to me! Love the shaker idea, but I love more the trick of adhering die cuts to sticky grids to color them!
I do love these cards! Great tips!
Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the tips.
GORGEOUS CARDS!!! Love them both & great tips ❤😊
Thanks so much!
WOW - What wonderful ideas!!! Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful cards, Wendy! Thanks for sharing your MISTI tricks!
What a cool technique and card! Got me looking through my word die/stamp combos!
Yay, thank you!
Beautiful cards and great tips. Thanks for the inspiration.!
Thanks so much!
Beautiful cards. I love your excitement. I would love to see those flowers on that card colored
I'm sure I will make another with them colored. :)
Wow!! Thanks great cards cant wait to try!!!😊
I'm excited for you. These were new tricks for me, too. I love them. Thank you.
Glad you like them! Thanks so much for being here.
Thank you for your wonderful ideas. Love both the sentiments and tape ideas. Beautiful card. 🤎 You are a very good teacher. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tips and great cards 😊😊
Wow these cards ate beautiful. I can't wait to try these tricks ❤❤
Thank you so much.
I love the trick with the shaker card.
I bought the Misty when it first came our but learned so many tricks of use through the years and now you have shown me another way to use it. thank you!!!!
Love the Misti tricks and that "recessed" text is just amazing. Can't wait to try it.
Thank you! I love the recessed sentiment too
Love this. Thank you.
Great idea! Beautiful cards.
Great tips using the MISTI. Thanks!
That is definitely a game changer! TFS 🎉❤
Great tip! 😊 beautiful card!
Beautiful cards!
It is stunning!
Genius!! That first tip is fabulous!
Glad it was helpful!
beautiful cards!
Beautiful cards.
This IS a game changer. That dang misty is so wonderful lining all kinds of things up! Great video😊
The tip about the sentiment is really neat! I have used the corner of my score board to do the lining up.
Thank you, I may be able to make a shaker card now! Teflon scissors are a must when cutting sticky things. 😉
Loved both tricks, particularly the shaker one. You are definitely not the only one who has lining up issues.
Omgosh! I quit making shakers for that very reason!! But now I can start making them again!! Good advice! Thanks
I've used the MISTI to line up card bases before but never thought about using it for shaker cards. That is awesome!! Thanks for making such a good video to show how to do that.
Thanks so much for your nice comment
WOW - I have never seen that Misty thing. Thank You for sharing.
This is a great idea! Thank you!
Beautiful, beautiful cards! Thank you for the tips - haven’t made a shaker card yet so what a great tip to learn now! I’m definitely glad I bought my Misti & just recently the Misti sticky mats - haven’t done alot of stamping yet but I wouldn’t be at all if I hadn’t bought my Misti - agree re: those still not yet sure about getting one that it’s a great investment & now even more so with your tips, Wendy! If there’s a way to die cut from the front of a card & place the stamp on the inside that would be cool too! I don’t have a dies/machine but I have a Cricut, so I will try that way.
Hi there Wendy, I just found your channel and I’m loving everything!!! My new found crafter…YOU ARE A HOOT 🦉…..lol…I absolutely love your sense of humor and feel like we would be kindred spirits 😊. You have inspired me to get a Misti and the mat. Now I’m really going to blow your mind 😂. I really went to town and stamped it again cut it out,and dbl. up the pop up dots so it stood out above the frame/ HTMSense. Then carefully colour blended the sentiment and, maybe it’s just me but WOW! Thanks for all of the inspiration. I can see this being a goody!! Sincerely Linda
Great tips and great cards! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
So creative… I rarely use my misti. I guess I need to keep it on my work table! 😊
Do you stamp a lot? I seldom use my acrylic blocks anymore. My stamp positioner is for all of my "It's gotta be perfect" stamping.
Love your tips about the Misti and love the cards you made. I love black, white with touches of red. For some reason, in my later years, I began to love red... I had a nice, little Toyota Highlander in Salsa Pearl and I also got a new mixer in Candy Apple Red, then I dressed up an already-made black & white card with some added, lovely red. I wish I had been able to get several more sets of cards with that one card in it. I want to make some black & white Christmas cards this year, with touches of Christmas red and maybe a few touches of Christmas green, or a bit darker green, here and there on the stamped image. I've seen a few videos where Misti has a sticky mat to use instead of magnets, to help place things where you want them without mis-placing them. I love all sorts of tips on how-tos. Thanks for offering this one. Love this sort of thing. 🥰❣❣
When I cut super sticky foam tape I cut it sticky side up. That really helps cut down on it sticking to the scissors. Love your tip with the Misti. It is a game changer.
AWESOME TRICK !!! AWESOME CARD!!! THANKS THANKS THANKS!!
Thank you so much
Aaaarrrrggggghhhh! I never thought of that. It’s brilliant!
Love the window with flowers!!! Reminds me of my Grandmother!! I'll make this. TFS!! Austin TX USA
Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for watching
Great video! I just found you. You're very easy to listen to and I love the style of these cards. Im looking forward to seeing more. I have subscribed to your channel. ❤
Thank you so much!
Oh WOW! Now maybe I’ll try to make a shaker card!!!! Thank you!!
I love my misti!!!
I have multiple rolls of the Altenew sticky back foam tape and quickly learned to ditch the little, skinny scissors. I use the full length Tim Holtz scissors by Tonic or the smaller, lighter non-stick scissors from Simon Says Stamps. Both work well to cut long strips from the adhesive foam without the tangling and curling. They are my go-to scissors for sticky foam tape.
Using the misti for lining up shaker cards?! Game changer! Thank you
It really is. Like I said how did I not think of it before lol
Yes, this is a great trick. Another thing that Kristina does is fold the foam tape over onto itself to make it double the thickness for shaker cards. Then, it’s not sticky except on the edge and she trims it into thin strips.
49ers are my husband's team. We were so disappointed but excited they made it.
Beautiful card.
Thanks for the tip. I hate making shaker cards for that reason. Beautiful card 🩷
Shaker cards are one of my favs but I admit it was one of the reasons I would hesitate making them. Not now!
Hi, Wendy. Great ideas here. Thanks for sharing them. I may just have to try that second card. What a great idea. This is my first time watching you. I subscribed. 😍
Wow, neat trick.
Sweet!!!!! This is going to take some stress off of shaker cards!!!!
Love the cards. I’m glad you didn’t color in the black and white one…it really looks elegant. My cousin shared this video telling me that this made her think of me. At first I thought it was because of the shaker card idea because I do struggle with them but then realized it was because you are a Niner fan, too. Tough game. I was bummed out for 2 days. So there were 2 reasons to watch this video. I do use the Misti or my Scor Pal to line up cards but never knew about the shaker card trick. Thanks for sharing. GO NINERS!
Beautiful cards Wendy.
Thank You
if no one has suggested it, get some "teflon" coated scissors. THEY ARE A GAME CHANGER when it comes to cutting sticky anything.
Also Baby Powder Or Any Powder Even Flour😅😅😅 With A Brush Lightly Coat The Unwanted And It Works No More CussNFuss I Do This With NonStick Scissors Too It Really Helps!!! Also I Used Manilla Folder For Embossing With This Same Method And The Clean Is A Breeze And Glitter Too And When Done It Is Easy To Pour In The Bottle And You Are (Lightly Dusting) I Hope This Helps It Definetly Helped Me
In our previous home we had gray walls in the main area and white six panel doors. After seeing something similar, I painted all of our interior doors black. LOVE. We received so many compliments on it, and another friend followed suit soon after.
Oh I bet it’s beautiful. I really need to pain the interior of our house.
I love this trend, but hate the extra work dusting the door panels. I never noticed it on the white surface.
The Altenew tape is super sticky. Not just you! Your card is so cute! Thanks for the tips with the Misti. 😊
Love then cards and the reverse cut. I use my score buddy to line stuff up in the same way.
So smart. Never thought of that either
Love your nails! And before you told us, I figured the color scheme was for the 49ers! LOL! These are great tips. TFS!
This inspires me to make a bigger, lifesized fun wall hanging duo...
Foam board sheet covered in sky blue wrapping paper.
Batting clouds glued to that.
Yellow white bulb from the back for the sun peeking through the clouds
Couple of feather birds stickers.
Then more edge pieces of foam board to add a raised shadowbox space.
Then the window strips around the edge, middle H & V
Clear cling wrap or plastic sheets pasted to the back for the window
Lay window over the raised edge strips.
Half a dozen paper flowers, plants & leaves or go with quilled flowers pasted to the bottom of the window.
Covered with the planter box strip and raised edges.
Then a matching one that's clouds but also a paper mache tree branch with paper cherry blossoms or whatever flowers (seasonal!) a little felted bird with a nest and little robin eggs...maybe another branch with a silhouette of / or a black cat perched on it watching the birds. Butterflies around some of the flowers.
I have a makeshift plywood board painted white to separate the stairs from the living room to make a spare room out of the living room and it's needing something. Your video thumbnail suddenly inspired this window pair so thanks so much! Subbed for the inspiration!
great video! thank you 😊
Great tips. I’ve used my stampin up score board corner to line my card stock up. I’m so sad about the Niner loss 😿
Awesome 😊
