I have a snow blower just like this one. I got it from a neighbor down the street that threw it out because it didn't start anymore. Went on ebay and for $14 got a new carb and 10 min of work and she fired right up and works perfectly. They are great machines!
I have the same snowblower. One of my carb hex bolts is stripped and won’t come off and I can’t get the carburetor off. Probably gonna just throw the whole damn snowblower in the garbage. Piece of junk snowblower in my experience. Never starts when you need it.

I can’t get my hex bolts off to take of the carburetor. What tool did you use to loosen the hex bolts on the carburetor ?
Does your auger spin when the lever isn't engaged?
My Toro CCR 1000 3hp snowblower auger does spin when the handle lever isn’t engaged. Odd. I haven’t investigated why yet.
