Thanks Sam. After 30 years in the hobby I’m finally trying to move away from the all over wash. This reminder and example will serve me well with this new chapter
Glad it was helpful!
Less than 5 minutes and yet exactly everything I needed to know.
Excellent tutorial, beautiful mini.
I love all Sam Lenz videos👏👍🤙

Little things that can make big impacts, you love to see it. Gorgeous work as always!
I use a 0.03mm nib fineline pen. Super easy and super consistent!
That Warhound looks incredible, amazing work as always! 😁❤️👍🏻
I use oil paint, works super well!
Super useful, thank you very much!
I like to use a fine tip permanent marker on my titans. Too lazy to paint a fine line. Looks good !
That is an awesome paint job for that Warpuppy
He's a good pup!

Hey I got a question:
I ve seen several videos on blacklining and some tutorials suggest to use washes or inks for it. I think you are using regular acrylics. Which ones are preferrable or is it just a matter of preference?
I think it's largely for effect. A wash has lower surface tension and will flow into the crevaces better (almost like a pseudo panel liner) but is more transparent.
I typically use washes to line if I'm painting on something like a camouflage pattern because, in those case, I want to still have the pattern read through rather than completely cover it.
That said I'm just some guy not a competition painter lol
It's called panel lining
You can't just go around starting fights on a holiday!
Huzzah,
I think I like chromatic warriors, better.
Liminal grooves, this will be good reference in the library
Yeah buddy!
I am really struggling painting flames like that 🫤 Excellent video, thanks 😁
You can do it!
