Awesome progress Harry! Love your videos! Been very helpful in my 72 Chevelle build! Quick question how are you gonna paint the gto? On the frame with all the build complete?

Thanks Jeremy. Sorry for the late reply I am going to put the car all together. Then I'm going to get all my gaps correct. Pin all the hinges on the doors and the fenders so they go back in the proper location. Then take everything apart to paint.

Many Many Many thanks Harry. That was a very informative video. I think I may try drilling small holes rather than using the punch.
It might take a little longer, but the holes will be smaller. Your thoughts?

      Hi Wayne.
Yes, You can drill it. Even use a Dremel with a small drill bit. It will take more time and much cleaner hole. Don't forget it will get covered with some kind of undercoat. All the best

I referring to accessing the 2 square nuts on either side of body . You need to reposition or remove inner fender well .

If you're referring to the cage nuts that are in the firewall, then yes you have to remove your inner fender

well being this car is already painted looks like I screwed myself. Unless i take the motor out or am able to remove the front 2 bolts in the body.. thanks for your help.

I misunderstood your question . You don't want to remove your inner fender?
You don't have to... In order to remove your inner Fender you would have to remove your outer fender. If you are just changing your body bushings do one side at a time meaning loosen all the bolts on your driverside replace those bushings torque it all back down and then go to your passenger side. You should be able to get to your core support bushings from under the car. I hope this helps. sorry for the confusion. all the best.

@@classicrewind2715 I want to remove my inner fender or I need to move it to access the nuts for the 2 front body mount bolts. Thanks sorry for confusion.

You access the bolts from under the frame. You shouldn't have to remove the inner Fender at all

I need to put body bushings on my 69 gto. Can i remove the inner fender well completely or just work around them.

You need to remove your Fender first and then your inner fender. You can't get it out without removing your fender.
      I hope this helps
      All the best

Why do you keep calling it leather? They were never made of leather. They are rubber. The authentic ones are masticated rubber. The staples should be adjusted (bent) so that they are square and uniform with sharp bends to facilitate installation. Also much easier to clamp in place then use a small drill bit to drill through the seal and inner fender one at a time.

I call it leather because that's what it feels like after it's been weathered (worn) for over 50 years. Yes. if you do use a small drill bit it will make it much easier for the staple to be manipulated during installation. Thanks for commenting. All the best
