I think John's Life was much more influenced of who he was, than what just a common mind could be influenced ...that influenced common man. And Im sorry I think this is just another religious film. Scripture tells me John was, in spirit, influenced in the womb by Jesus presence. He was influenced by His presence, in Creation as a creature at the river. This was just not a perception( a precept), it was deep beyond perception, The Creator of All Things was present. It affected him beyond what is merely ..understood.
This was absolutely beautiful. I loved it. I watched movies that were mostly not what Jesus would approve of then immediately I repented and asked for help. This was more impactful than all the Hollywood movies I had watched and was disgusted by because they only promoted the lust of the eye lust of the flesh and pride of life. Praises be to God. What a great anointing that this movie has. The word of God gives us comfort even when times are hard. Not even facing death can take that comfort and joy away from us(unless we allow it of course). John new he was about to see Jesus again in his full Glory. As for us; wow!, we are greater than John!! Scripture does not say we are greater than John. Obviously, that is far from the case. When Christ said the least in Heaven is greater than he, that is because John was not yet in Heaven, for Christ did not yet free the righteous from Sheol. It was good and well done, just the wigs needed work...shortened, layered and highlighted with brown so they were not so straight black. Acting, storyline, cinematography, editing... good.
This is a wonderful depiction of what John the Baptist must have gone through while sitting in prison. It could not have been easy for him, not just because of the possibility of his death, but because things weren't happening the way he would have imagined they would. He who is least is greater than John. This is in such contrast to many of our so called leaders. Who live a life of luxury and demand our adulation.
