I never knew that about ‘Souls Of Black’… but even knowing that now … I’ve always loved that album! I will never tire of seeing OG Thrash Metal vinyl being shown yano… & I agree Mike… if there aren’t a few marks or creases & scuffs on the vinyl… it doesn’t feel like an OG! Your OG collection just gets better & better mate!🤘🏻
Nice bunch of vinyls Mike. Refuge Denied rules, my OG copy has not a lyric sheet but the normal printed inner sleeve. Cool to get the Nuclear Assault ep. Overkill rules. Love the first Metal Church, the first two songs are killer. The instrumental and the cover song I can do without. Wait, did you hurt somebodies feelings? Poor Alan...... 😂😂 Bonded By Blood is my favorite by Exodus, great album. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Cheers Roger. Yeah it's insane a grown up would take the huff over that. I wonder if my Sanctuary is US. I'll check. Maybe Europe had sleeves instead of cards. 🤘
Hey Mickey! I love Souls of Black, my second favorite. The show was the Painkiller tour, I saw Priest, Megadeth and Testament at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. That was the infamous show where the Drum riser that Rob was supposed to ride the Harley up from underneath didn't go up all the way and knocked him cold off the bike. It was during the Hellbent for Leather opening song, and the band had to stop when the empty motorcycle fell on the stage with no Rob. The patched him up and started again a half hour later. He sang through the full show and TWO encores with a big bloody bandage on the side of his head, what a Trooper. I was 15 and it was one of the best shows of my life! Cheers!
Oh wow that is a great show to have seen. I've still not seen Priest but I'm looking forward to the new album and same with Testament. Cheers for watching 🤘
Now this is why you're classed as TH-cam royalty, bleeding for your art and carrying on like a true metal warrior 😃 There's some absolute classics here, Mike. The only one I've never owned is the Metal Church one, and I'm okay with that 😂 Always great to see you, sir 🤘
Hi Mike!!! that was a pretty cool update, all killer stuuf and no filler at all...... you seems to had a great deal with that Exodus Lp, it's always nice to have an early pressing, it doesn'y have to be always a 1st pressing...... Sanctuary first album is awesome so is Mortal Sin and that Testament. Let's see what's Anthrax finally going to release this year, it's been to long since the last one. cheers
I was the same way with Souls Of Black when it came out, love it way more these days! I remember buying that Sanctuary album when it first came out, with Dave & Paul Lani involved in the production I thought it’ll be good! To this day I still think the drum sound is similar to So Far, So Good … So What!
Really enjoyed this on Mike, lots of awesome pick ups there..have plenty of reissues of these ( except ATL) but always nice to see the ogs Love the production of the Metal Church album , amazing drumming Great prices paid too Good stuff Mate
I thought I was a little crazy thinking mint OG's felt kinda off. There is just something about originals that need to feel worn and used. Glad it's not just me, hahaha. Happy to listen to you just talk about music again man. Classic bunch of records, quite a jackpot for early thrash.
It's got to be a good thrash update if it draws blood. Mortal Sin, the debut is the only one I like _because_ it's not polished haha. I'm 100% there with you on 80s thrash records being their best at VG+. I want them to sound NM but I am more than happy for the cover to have some bangs, bruises and signs of life. Makes it more authentic.
Killer OG update and in my favourite genre 🤘🤘Soul’s was my intro to Testament so loved it from early on. Always cool to find them with Merch order forms in good nick. Great finds mate.
Thanks for the video Mickey, congrats on the new additions. Some classics there and some good prices too, nice of the seller to throw in good times bad times in with Handle With Care, agree with you on the production 100%, its not great. Interesting about Souls of Black didn't know that. Love the bass intro the on the song souls of black. Im looking to get a different copy of my Among the Living, the one I have is not a great press. Hoping if I go for a different press it actually sounds better when I find one.
Hey Mike, great video with an all star lineup!! “Coming soon to an arena near you” Testament, I didn’t care much for Souls, might have to revisit this one Sanctuary, love these very much, have OG CD’s and Music-On-Vinyl LP reissues Nuclear Assault, 1986 Game Over and I was hooked, my favorite Overkill, my all time favorite Thrash band, IMO Years Of Decay is their #1, we need more reissues… 1995-2007!!! Metal Church, another great one!! In the US we didn’t get the bonus track edition, it’s actually from Metal Massacre V, I have been looking for an EU edition with bonus track forever, I love their version of Highway Star The $5.98 EP… so good, so raw, man it sucks your version is missing a track, what version do u have? Exodus, still need their debut on OG vinyl, but it seems to run $50-$75, ouch Anthrax, Among The Living is not a top album for me, it never clicked for some reason, Spreading The Disease is my fave Mortal Sin… unknown to me, I’ll check them out Oh and btw, fuck blabbermouth 🤣
Hey thanks for watching dude. This Metallica is just a European release. I have it on CD too so I'm not too bothered about keeping it. Try Souls of Black again. Hopefully see you next video 🤘
Souls Of Black was my introduction to Testament and I hold it near and dear. So looking forward to see them live this year for the first time. Handle With Care is my favourite Nuclear Assault album and was happy when it got a reissue on vinyl as with Overkill. When years of decay came out I was big into Masters Of The Universe and the album art reminded me of Castle Grayskull. Nice to see some Aussie thrash too. Really enjoyable update mate😀🤘
Excellent thrash vinyl update, Mike! Exodus, Testament, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Sanctuary, Metallica. Good stuff overall. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts and opinions on all those albums.
That's a nice stack of Thrash classics there, Mike! Most of which I still need to pick up myself. Looks like you got them all for good prices, too! Souls of Black is probably the Testament album I know the least, apart from possibly Demonic. I should really re-visit both. I like the look of those reissues of The Legacy and The New Order that were announced today, but they only seem to be available from the US Nuclear Blast shop. 55 quid just for postage! You can guarantee there'll be brutal customs charges to add to that, as well... 😡 Not a fucking chance! Would you believe it, I've just realised I don't actually own the $5.98 EP. The only Metallica release I don't have a copy of! I never bought it as all the tracks were on disc 2 of Garage Inc. Now that I'm collector scum I shall have to rectify that! Cheers! 🤘
Haha yes you need to get that. It's cheap enough though. Thrash reissues are a last resort for me. I have a dozen or so that il get round to showing but I still gave one eye on the OG but with the ones I have the originals are too much for me to pay anyway.
Good stuff. 'Handle With Care' is one of my favorite albums of all time. Nice stiffener the seller threw in too. Good thing nobody got butthurt at your slagging off that Metal Church album... I mean music fans aren't that childish :D But, hey, it got its revenge on your finger, eh :D I like Mortal Sin and Xentrix equally.
Nice seeing all these great records. I'm in the US and have been collecting UK & European originals of 80s thrash and 90s death because the US originals are ridiculously expensive and the UK pressings are great and are often still affordable, despite the shipping costs.
I like to get the original thrash but I settle for reissues on the 90s death metal vinyl. I'll throw some of that in the next video. Thanks for watching 🤘
Nice haul sir! It took me decades to really like "Souls..." by Testament as well but it´s really a great album. "Falling Fast" is such a good song. I just realized I don´t have Sanctuary´s debut om OG vinyl, just a reissue, damn, hahaha... I need to change that! I have everything by Nuclear Assault on vinyl except for the "Good Times..." EP, I just couldn´t find it for a good price here in Gemany. I like Mortal Sin´s debut way better, not because of the rawer sound but the songs are simply better imo. Maybe it´s because I heard it first and we played it to death back then.
That first contact with a band plays a big part doesn't it. I will be able to put out another couple of these videos with what I've picked up last year and at least you aren't plagued with adverts now 😂. I'll keep a lookout for that Nukes 12" for you. I'll be having a couple of beers watching Andy's stream tomorrow night if you're in the chat 🤘
Best part of being a genx pushing 60, we can get anything we finally wanted in our youth(80s) where albums were averaging 16$ and tapes also. Minimum wage 3,90$ plus going high school full time. We had to trust our instinct before buying an album with our almost monthly money and trust the older for advices on whats worth. It was the best time but now owning it all bring even more satisfaction. 10 000$ back then was a million dollars nowadays its pocket change. I sure did complete my collection in my early 50s. Cheers man
Cool update,Mike. Some bangers shown. Gotta admit, I never got on board with Metal Church. Average at best for me. I'm sure my copy of the metallica covers ep is not a 12" album cover as well. And mine is the original I bought when it came out.
Yeah it's not essential I keep it really I have the CD and I think the Metallica vinyl is too much nowadays and way too in demand. I'm unlikely to get lucky on those.
No album is a £50 album in my collection! Glad there were no surprises in this one, all very good albums in my opinion (though I don't think I've heard Mortal Sin if I'm honest). Also no surprises with your opinions on these either, very you!
Killer update Mike. I picked up that exact same press of Bonded by Blood a while back. Agreed on Baloff, never a great vocalist. Souls of Black is decent, definitely one if those albums that gets a but overlooked. Cheers mate
@metalmickey Plenty of albums out there that get praise heaped upon them that don't live up to the hype. Also plenty of albums that deserve way more recognition yet pretty much get ignored
I binge listened to most of these albums in my teens. Still fond of Sanctuary, I would call that a trash album too. Overkill is great as is that Metallica Ep. Loving the comment from the fella who can't handle someone's opinion, how DARE YOU! haha
Yeah there's always a helmet in the comments. Definitely slower to add more these days. Drying up big time probably people trying to sell outside of eBay with that tax thing coming in.
I saw Maiden on the No prayer for the dying tour - was my first concert. Wolfsbane supported. To be honest, NP is a good album but pale in comparison to the mighty Seventh Son - I blame Janick lol -anyway was a good gig. I do like that Testament album, great songs but shite production. That Nuclear Assault is just fantastic - still have the UOF cd, and tape - also have the Toxic glow edition on cd. I have the Overkill vinyl box set of the early stuff, the best stuff. Metal Church I never got into, think I didnt like the vocals. Got the original cd of that Garage, and the Japanese reissue - I love that era of Metallica, with Justice being my fav album. Mortal Sin I have the OG cd, good band - Every dog has its day is one of my favourites, which is a contraversial statement lol - I have that twice, UOF and Aussie version with totally different title and cover. Love Exodus, but not a massive fan of the debut , vocals are dodgy - prefer Fabulous Disaster - good band overall. Early Anthrax is great, POT being my fav.
The CD copy I have has five tracks and includes ‘The Wait’ as well. I don’t know if Mike has that and just wanted it on vinyl too. Otherwise I don’t know why he bothered getting the record. For 4 tracks and one missing I’d feel shortchanged even if I wasn’t CD only.
How did you collect my personal want - list?. I talked about " Souls Of Black " in my last video. When you sell all these let me know. I have that " Nuclear Assault " - Good Times Bad Times, its mental fonzie stuff. Mortal Sin is better than Xentrix there i have said it. Haha I don't mind a few Metal Church albums but I don't find the debut too good. I'll show some more next time. Socks of Black is the best artwork and now I love the album way more than I used to it makes it a nice addition 🤘

Alan, it looks to me like you also “no nothing bout” spelling, grammar and punctuation. Bye bye
"I like this album so other opinions are wrong". I know little kids more mature than that.
