DJI owes you some money. I just pulled out wallet and bought this just now.
Hahaha, well done my bro...you won't regret it! Let me know how you like it!!!
00
Haha, same!!
@@learningcameras hello, I just bought the ronin rsc 2 pro combo after watching your review and I have the canon 80 d. I have a issue that camera is not autofocusing while on RSC 2. I have to do it manually with the front dial of the RSC 2. camera and the lens is on AF. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP? Thank You!
@@samyakpatel7422 So I personally almost never actually connect my camera to the gimbal so AF wouldn't be an issue. Not sure with that particular setup what's going on but it seems like the gimbal thinks you are trying to manually focus
The quick release system is hands down its best feature! A very simple design that exponentially upgraded user experience!
If only it was actually arca swiss, wish I had known that so I don't have to wait a week after getting my gimbal to truly never have to switch plates again.
I bought the RSC 2 on a whim yesterday. Wasn't sure what I was getting into I just I knew I needed a gimbal. I'm happy I found your review and stoked to up my own. Thank you for making the video!!!
Awesome...thanks! Hope you enjoy the new gimbal
The most efficient and reliable gimbal I must say. Ease of use and performance is on point.
Your review helped me buy this rsc 2 today for my panasonic s1. I've been looking for a gimbal for two weeks and nothing available on the market. It seems they vanished. Today i found one and bought it almost instantly. Thank you for your good work and nice review!
Appreciate that Marian! Enjoy
Very impressive features on the RSC2. I mean just looking at the montage and those short clips, you can already tell this gimbal is high performance.
After using the ronin-s for years until a week ago, I finally got myself the RSC 2 and honestly love it !!
It's so compact and lightweight and portrait mode and foldable shooting is a game changer. 👏
Why didn’t you got with the rs3 ? Im stuck between either that or this one.
@@6mazing I got the RSC 2 because I got a great deal on it, it's definitely an upgrade from my Ronin-S so I'm happy with the functionality of of the RSC 2. But if you got the money for an RS3 I would definitely go for that one! Love the auto locking function on the RS3 but either way Wich one to choose is on you, they both are great gimbals. 😁
There is no limit with creativity when you have this gimbal.👌
I know many would like the RS2 but ever since they were launched I've always preferred the RSC2
It's all true! I tell everyone who asks me, the RSC2 is totally worth investing on.
Cool review and nic video! Always nice to get the confirmation of a good purchase. 😊
As soon as the RS2 and RSC2 came out, I was already impressed and just had to purchase it, without knowing if I really needed it.
One year later, I love it even more and am still finding out new things.
Honestly speaking, now that the 3rd Gen has been introduced, I was a bit concerned that it would degrade the RS(C)2, but after seeing several reviews it's clear to me that the RSC2 is still relevant and still has not been overtaken by the competition.
How does this video not have ten times the views? Your content is fire.
Thanks so much Matt!!!
Allways the most informative channel among the bunch! Thanks for sharing your hands on experience with the RSC2!
Thanks os much Allan!!!!
Ever since my ronin m started spinning uncontrollably I haven’t had a non dji gimbal that was ever close. Definitely need this now that the price is so affordable. Great content dude !
Yeah, price is down a quite a bit...thanks so much!
I have to say it's impressive how DJI is leading the technology of lighter equipment with higher performance.
hell ya! Waiting for mine to come in the mail this week. Worth the $$. DJI is the Apple of Drones and Camera accessories
Awesome! Definitely agree
This was an amazing review ! I appreciate this video , I’m 100% sold !
Thanks so much David
Very nice review, stunning visuals. Just what to give a small advice: slow mo footage makes the jitter less noticeable, you should use more regular speed footage to show the stability more objectively.
I cannot decide Rs3 mini without raveneye or Rsc 2. Now i know, This one is awesome video, thank you. Subscribering
Definitely a tough choice haha. Appreciate that!
The footage speaks for itself. RSC2 is of phenomenal quality!
Just bought after this video
This totally sold me on it. I'm gonna save for this and a new camera
Awesome! I'm still using it daily
Great video thanks!
Dan I think you’ve just convinced me to get the RSC2 instead of the RS2. Raven Eye is something I definitely want but may have to purchase after due to budget - the RSC2 at least allows me to have that option whereas I can’t with the RS2. Plus being able to fold it so small and the long life battery AND being able to handle the weight of proper lenses. Yep, this is one for me. This video highlighted the pros for me nicely! 👍🏽
Hahaha, yeah...I also have the RS 2 but honestly use the RSC 2 more because I keep accidentally hitting the touch screen on the rs2. Plus I prefer how the rsc2 adjusts
Just be very sure about compatibility of your camera with the raven eye and the gimbal. I bought the RSC 2 and found that if I use raven Eye I have an image as usual but I do not have camera control on my smartphone (s.a.iso). I can only have this facility if I directly connect the camera to the gimbal. - then I do not have active tracking and the other facilities that Raveneye gives. Guess a new camera is called for?
I finally got some extra cash and got to upgrade my first SC to an RSC2! I'm sure it's gonna be worth my money!
I like your setup! Maybe I'll get the same accessory for my RSC2!
This gimbal is such a good piece of equipment, definitely want to upgrade my ronin s to this. The general locks on the arms seem to be way too useful! Love this video! 💯✔️🔥
Same here! I'm still enjoying my simple EOS250D and RSC2 setup!
Can the average person hold this with camera in single hand and move it around? I ride an e-board so i need another hand free for a remote.
Raveneye technology is impressive!
DJI RSC 2 vs Zhiyun WEEBILL-2 - we need it :D
I have used it for over half year. I do have some issue. Hope some are due to user error.
1. There is no dedicated lock mode. You have to press the button all the time if you want to be in lock mode. That is not convenient. If I am use dual handle or if I mound it on monopod. There is no way for me to active the lock mode. There should be a lock mode that programed in the menu.
2. After power on, the camera will start to drift left or right slowly, it won't stay still. I do not know what is the cause.
3. I find if I have IBIS on, the footage is really bad. So I have to turn off the IBIS then the result is good but not great since the IBIS should make it smoother. I never need to turn off IBIS from other gimbals I have used previously. and it helps reduce those micro jitter. But not the case with this gimbal. Drive me crazy to figure out.
How is the joystick compare to the other ronin models?
I'd love to see an accessories video for this (different grips, UURig Swing Grip vs. Twist Grips, etc)
Is this just the rsc2 or the rsc2 pro combo?
The pro combo just adds accessories like follow focus
@@learningcameras woah thanks for the fast reply! Is this important for Cinematography? I'm currently writing a scenario for a short film and want to start filming but I currently don't have a gimbal and never used one..
Also very good video just subbed!
@@SianCKB So a gimbal isn't needed unless you want some moving shots that involve the camera moving in the frame. If you do, things like a slider, gimbal, or at least a rig to help hand hold the camera as you walk would probably be needed. A follow focus is helpful if you are shooting with manual lenses and want to control the focus manually with the gimbal
@@dswatson83 I have a Sony A6400 with 2 sigma f1.4 lenses 16mm (ff equivilant of 24mm) and 30mm (ff 56mm)
And footage is really shaky because no stabilization at all on both the body and lenses..
I guess I'll just get the normal RSC2 if it has the same features! 😃 Thanks for the fast reply's Daniel!
daaaang, I think I'm gonna buy one for my a6000. So hype.
9:57 this is one thing I was worried about when the camera is too big (or the gimble is too small) and the viewfinder makes contact with the gimble arm.
Could you tell me if the DJI RSC 2 is compatible with the Nikon D780 and/or the OMD OM-1.
Can you use this gimble to take a photo if you want to shoot still photography using gimble.
Im glad it works well with a Blackmagic!
with tilta case or without
Absolutely love your videos!!!
Appreciate that John!
And now with the new RS3 what about the RSC2 ?
Small confusion
Should I go for RSC2 or RS3 Mini?
Oh I am so sold on this 🔥🔥
Can you adjust autofocus without touching the shutter button on the camera or back button focus button?
Rsc2 Same as rs2 pro combo ?
What were your settings, for the S1H and the gimbal?
Great Review. Would you compare them to Dji Rs3 mini? really curious to see the the difference between those
Do you think it would support a Canon R6, and the RF 24-70 F/2.8 for a wedding video, or would I need to go up to the RS 2? Thanks and great video! Way better than the first looks that others have posted.
So it definitely will support it but I'd say if you are planning on mostly using heavier lenses, the RS2 might be a slightly better fit. As a bonus, the RS2 isn't really heavier because the frame is carbon fiber: amzn.to/3EIXsyP
Thanks so much!!!
It's an incredible equipment that gives impressive video stability! But its charm will always be its portability! No other gimbal can match that!
Sir can you share your motor speeds for rsc2. I am really struggling with it
I have a canon 90d and I’m confused between DJI RSC 2 and Zhiyun Crane S2, which one should I go for?
Hello there , I was thinking of buying a rsc2 myself to help my music video production , I can’t find the answer anywhere but I was wondering if the Rsc2 is able to handle the Canon 90D with the original lens it comes with which is a 18 - 135 Mm lens , I looked online and it says it can support up to 6Lbs and the camera with the lens is only about 730g which is 1.609 pounds , do you think it’s okay for me to use ? Thank you!
So I think you should be good but it's almost impossible to guarantee because the issue isn't wait, it's center of gravity. The gimbal only has limited adjustment so if it's too top, front, or back heavy, it won't balance so every camera/lens combo is specific even though it can easily handle the load weight
Did you buy ? I have the same question lol
@@OrangeJungle no not yet I’m having trouble actually ordering it from Best Buy :/ idk like the service is down
Dan, I'm doing a live stream Friday at 8:00. I'll do a brief news cap, then discuss the implications with a live panel. Would you be interested in attending? Please send me a DM on twitter if so. Would love to have your commentary.
I am a newer owner of a RSC2. What is the best mode for shooting video of a live band?
Thank you very much for this great video! Do you think it could carry a light camera with the Sigma 24-105 (885g)? I'm not sure because it would be very front heavy...
Yeah, the issue is almost never the weight, it's always the center of gravity. Smaller gimbals don't have the ability to offset that center of gravity, especially if you use things like filters and mics. So I can't say exactly how it will respond to that lens without testing it
Here’s a question! What lens did you film yourself with in the studio??
I'm using the Sony A7SIII in the studio
@@learningcameras Nice, and which lens? I love the amount of DOF!
Nice review! Did RSC2 can use pan and lock mode when going to vertical mode?
I noticed that you are not using any of the cables. How is that possible?
You only need to use the cables to control the camera from the gimbal. But usually I prefer to just go cable free and control my settings and record on/off from the camera itself. Although the RS3/RS3 Pro added bluetooth camera control so you can start and stop record from the gimbal without having to attach a cable as long as your camera has bluetooth
Another Great Video Dan! Would you recommend this one today for the Nikon Z6II ? Or is there something else you'd recommend in Dec. 2022?
Hey! Thanks Enrico. So definitely this or the RS3 Pro. Technically the regular RS3 will hold the weight of a Z6II with large lenses but it has limited adjustment so if most of your lenses are going to be the big F2.8 zooms and F1.4 primes, you might consider the Pro
@@learningcameras Hey Dan, Thank you, your explanations are always top notch! And so are your shoots! Long life to your channel man!
@@learningcameras Thank you Dan! Most of my lenses are fast primes 1.4 so I think I'll opt for the Pro! thank you for your tips! Top Man!!
I have sony 7RM III and Zeiss 50 mm lence. It´s pretty heavy. I´ve been told that gimbal is not going to support the weight. That is more suitable for kit lences, what do you think?
It's hard to say...it's not really the weight that's the issue for most gimbals, it's the center of gravity and how much adjustment you get. Definitely for that setup I'd recommend the RS2 or RS3 Pro
Can Dji rsc2 works perfectly using 5dmark4 + sigma 35 f1.4
Hi Dan Great video thanks. Quick question would you recommend the RSC 2 using Sony A7R4 with 14mm lens for real estate?
I have a Ronin rs3 and im wanting to film with a more hand held look so I can make fast movements. What would the best settings for that?
Go for the full follow mode and keep the speeds turned up
Is the rs2 compatible with the original blackmagic production 4k?
Mines coming tomorrow
Just found this video, do you find any weight issues with the S1H?? I can't seem to have it move beyond a certain angle before the motors overload and stop working. To the point that the panorama function doesn't work because they overload.
6:20 Dan what were your camera settings & can I get results close to that with my new GH6? Yeah. By next week I will have this thing.
word homie
Hey do u mind sharing your gimbal mode settings, I hv DJI rs2 n I use it to shoot weddings
Is it much better than the weebill 2?
I would say better but definitely different and each have some unique advantages. I definitely prefer the ergonomics of the RSC 2, the app, and overall performance
my rsc2 is not charging camera but other gimbals do charge camera while using it how to fix it
when i record with raveneye my videos are going to my phone are without any sound. What am i doing wrong? My setup is Sony A7iii with Sigma 24-70mm 2.8
Do you feel this will take an A7iv with newer 70-200 2.8 mkii?
No...you will probably need the RS2 or RS3 Pro for that just because of how off center it will be
I’ve even enjoying mine for the last year too. Learned a ton. It’s a massive step up from the prior generations in quality and ease of use.
Completely agree
Oddly difficult to find reference shots that are not slowed down or ramped
is it light as zhuyin plus or heavier ? im holding on the plus because of its weight
Does the RSC2 also include the FPV move in portrait (vertical) mode?
Do you think this would carry Sony a7iii with 28-75 tamron lense
Absolutely! It's on sale too: amzn.to/3X8RrEL
For under slung mode, why not just turn the gimbal upside down? Just let it hang what’s the difference?
Lastly does it integrate with the A7s3 better now? I tried it out a few months back and it wouldn’t communicate with the camera properly, causing camera to sometimes shut down, also record button wouldn’t work depending how you wanted to use the gimbal, for example if you wanted to use raven eye plus record buttons or change iso/shutter using gimbal you would have to configure the connection to the raven eye with different cables.
So, for just a single shot...not much of a difference with just turning the gimbal upside down but depending on how you rig the camera with external monitors, it can make a difference.
To be honest I usually don't connect the gimbal to the camera. I accidentally cancel recording all the time lol but I have used it with the Raneveye and it does work but I have not tried changing camera settings via the gimbal as I just personally prefer to be cable free whenever possible and too often accidentally change them
Hey, I can see you have Sony Alpha as a thumbnail. Do you know if you can control the cameras focus without the focus motor with the sony cameras?
I know you can recording but I never use the gimbal to change settings so I honestly don't know
So a a6400 with a Tamron 17-70 lens wouldn’t be a problem?
Nope, that will work perfectly
@@learningcameras I’m gettin it now
Will this work with a camera lens?
Yo man Where did you get the intro sound from (0:42)
Do you ever use the gimbal for photos or just video only?
Video only. Occasionally I'll use it for a motion timelapse but that's it
Why is the camera gear Sony when I click on links, but in the Video it is a Panasonic LUMIX? Which LUMIX are you using in this video?
All the video was shot on the Sony A7SIII but I did show it off on camera with the Panasonic just because it's larger and heavier so I wanted to show it off with the larger load. But I shoot with the A7SIII personally for most of my stuff including the shots in this video
Which camera shot that BMW / city section? It was so clean
Thanks! Actually was down in Miami
It is working on dslr camera's????
I need to get this. What lens do you usually use with it?
Actually made an entire video on that! th-cam.com/video/vceOn1POJZo/w-d-xo.html
does this work with the Nikon D5200??
Would love to know what I am doing wrong, my gimbal is balanced perfectly, auto tuned but still get jitters, just can't get smooth footage and nothing like I see in this or other youtube videos.
Great video but the Raven Eye needs a lot of work. Does not work with my Sony A7R iii
Working on mine
maybe its best with pare of lumix Ibis but i hate to use this with my sony a7III with lens which doesn't have stabilisation inside
Please ware to buy handle?
Thanks for the great video ! When buying the gimbal, is the quick-release system included or do we need to buy something specific as extra?
Sorry for the late reply! Thanks...the quick release system is included
They come with it
Hey Im hoping to get a response, is this compatible with a Nikon d3500? im into car videography and i need a good gimbal that works with my camera
So yes the gimbal will work to stabilize the camera but these gimbals can also plug into some cameras and allow remote operation and no, the D3500 likely will not work with these gimbals because of how old it is but DJI should have a list of supported cameras
hello, I just bought the ronin rsc 2 pro combo after watching your review and I have the canon 80 d. I have a issue that camera is not autofocusing while on RSC 2. I have to do it manually with the front dial of the RSC 2. camera and the lens is on AF. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP? Thank You!
Nice video. You made me to order one. BTW nice video, what camera did you use for your model in orange ( golden ) outfit? S1H?
Hey! So the model in the Orange was actually shot on the Sony A7SIII using the Polar Pro mist ND. I have more on that in this video! th-cam.com/video/z2hnH_vhfHE/w-d-xo.html
I confused… great Vid again Dan, thanx!
But how on earth can you operate the DJI with your mobile phone, without Raveneye?
Force mobile works without the Raveneye so you can use that. You can also use a remote controller like an Xbox remote or virtual joysticks on your phone all through the DJI app without Raveneye. The raveneye is only needed to initiate automatic subject tracking and to see a real time feed from the camera on your phone
@@learningcameras thanx Dan it’s an eye opener! Haha i was confused and i’m glad i watched your. Vid! Keep up the good work! Cheers Mitchell
Hey dude,
I just wanna ask you . What do u use for ur hair ?? Coz it looks so greasy 😅😁
