I'm atheist but seriously, this is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard, because everyone can be struggling to find their "heaven" and happiness. This is inspiring
God brought me here to this song. I wasn't religious or anything, but experienced something far beyond this world of explanation. I was given instant faith and I don't expect a lot to understand me as I didn't understand myself. I never attended church nor touched a bible. however, something so extraordinary happened to me in December 2015 that changed my life. I felt so alone, confused, and instantly in love with God and he told me to play this song. As many of you said, you don't have to be religious to understand this song. it's beautifully written for all to relate to regardless of your beliefs. It gave me back "hope."
As a Christian, listening to this song, this song speaks volumes to me. My interpretation of it is that he’s saying he can’t find heaven on earth. Nothing on this earth is... well perfect. Heaven is, by all accounts, supposed to be a place of paradise, you won’t find that on earth. A place with no negativity, a negative thought won’t even enter your mind, no violence, no war, just peace and calm and perfection... “heaven is a place I cannot find, but I can feel it in my bones” - you won’t find it on earth but with faith you believe it’s real and will find it after death. I appreciate there are a lot of people who are non religious who will have a difference of opinion/different interpretation, just thought I’d give mine.

Great song! We cannot find Heaven because technically it is not here yet. When the timing is right, God is going to take this beautiful world and transform it into a heavenly city, one that is more beautiful than what we already have. What an amazing day that will be. This is very relateable to those who have struggled with the questioning of a greater purpose of life, and a god to look too for our creation.... Every part of me longs for a god to exist, and this song completely reflects that, I am not a devote christian telling you what to believe. You can beleive in anything to have faith, that's all that matters, having faith in something is the idea behind religion.
