I think it's within their best four albums for me.
The Lalalas it seems are a recurring theme in the album, and I’m not on board with it entirely but I think it’s not that bad. I think the point of them is that no matter what language you speak it’s easy to sing along, and it’s catchy too. I absolutely LOVE the three instrumental-focused tracks, Moon Music, 🌈 (this is called Alien Hits / Alien Radio), and One World, especially when they split up the higher-energy tracks without feeling out of place. I also feel like the entire album is sort of a combination of all their previous albums. Aeterna is my favourite track. And I think MM is one of my favourite albums by Coldplay. Moon Music is a beautiful opener and One World is a beautiful ending. It seems you were a little disappointed by OW but I really really liked that.
thats so interesting that you really enjoyed one world!! maybe it needs a bit of time to grow on me, but that ending really let it down for me :( -- moon music is a fantastic opening for an album for sure - i think as a long term fan myself, i just need a bit of time to sit with some of the tracks; however, i loved how they used the influence of their previous works/albums to inspire a lot of this album too!!

AETERNA feels like an extension of ∞, which I thought was the best track of MOTS, and AETERNA feels the best here. Their names are pointing the same direction, infinity, anyway. I watched some video reviews by others and clearly this album didn't work at all for them, who say they appreciated Coldplay's earlier albums more and the recent albums including this were just so dull. I'm inclined to think that Coldplay has been exploring "positivity" over years and that is what put some people away. He really doesn’t. He is horrible for them. They need to go back to Brian Eno, or try Nile Rodgers. Nile could really stretch them a bit and they could make something really funky. The Lalalalaaas are not it.

I think MOTS was created for concert tours, and many songs in MOTS are very suitable for live performances. Moon music is more like ghost stories and everyday life albums that are slower and calmer than previous albums. They still keep concerts still with the name MOTS, not Moon music.
1 out of 20 I liked and it's not in thr main album it's on the deluxe, Karate Kid it's the only one I thought it's good, but lyrics are very simple. At least for Mylo Xyloto had UFO, the acustic Princess of China, Moving to Mars and Up with the Birds, but damn just Ican rescue 1.
The ending part of One World is part of the song that Chris wrote as a compromise for Luton when they did the big weekend because there was calls for Yellow to be changed to Orange but instead Chris wrote a separate song called Orange, also I am one of the voices in there because there was a form for to have your voice recorded and be used for this song, you had hit a note and hold it for a certain amount of time and then originally it was going to be that my name would be in the credits of the song but I think because there was over 100 thousand people that did it, they just put the number of people who got involved. iAAM (which is my favourite with Aeterna number 3) I think is also and many others especially those who got to listen in the Moon lounge a couple of months ago is also Viva La Vida vibes not just We Pray. The Rainbow song is called Alien Hits/Alien Radio and it's 3 songs in one, the first song is called Neon Forest, the second which is about 30 secs is Opus 5 and then it ends with Angel Song. Aeterna was a song that we partly heard before because it was on the tour when they did The Lightclub but which they have changed. I think it's the good album, the only bad things is that iAAM is short, we still haven't got an official release of The Race and also A Wave (which has been on the tour right at the end during the applause), Robots (which I believe was going to be even heavier than People of the Pride, I think they said it was Coldplay doing Metal) etc. I hope we get these in the third and final Music of the Spheres album which is going to be a musical
I heard that twice. that the next album is a musical and it’s tied to MOTS, where are people getting that info that it is tied with the past two albums? It is really cool to know the lore of the lalala end of one world because I always get intrigued when Coldplay does their little hidden track stuff
@@NickHeredWell in the Higher Power video at the start it says Music of the Spheres in 3 parts, now originally we thought that Music of the Spheres would be split in 3 parts in one album however when we got the album, it's says not just Music of the Spheres, it says Vol.1: From Earth With Love and Moon Music is Vol.2, so naturally we are going to get a Vol.3 and that sort of confirms the 3 parts thing all the way back to official video of Higher Power.
All My Love feels really incomplete. I believe all the other three members should have come in and added their bits to the song. It could have been a ballad but with the alt rock elements in it. And I totally agree that Chris' lyrics weren't on par with his previous albums. The album gives us our moments like when the drums come in midway during 🌈, or the beautiful piano pieces in Moon Music & 🌈, or the bass line in Good Feelings. I am a mountain was supposed to be a quintessential rock song that got overshadowed with unwanted & clearly TOO MUCH experiments. The Full Moon edition has got the Angel Song that feels just right, and could have been more beautiful with some Mylo Xyloto-like lyrics. The Full Moon edition also has a track called Moon Music - Elodie which is beautiful. It just goes to show that the album had beautiful musical pieces with the drums, the bass and the electric guitar (I almost feel bad for Johnny rn), but these pieces weren't put together well or completed right. Thats the reason the album feels quite incomplete to me, it sure has got its moments. The band has too much John Hopkins in it and he's sure a great musician but if I wanted to hear atmospheric music, I'd just put on a John Hopkins album. The recent albums feel so out of place and not put together. It has really got more to do with the production of the songs. I'm not sure if Max Martin's ideas fit with what Coldplay's music sounded like. I mean there's a reason they're not Justin Beiber (who's also hands on a great musician but my point is the sounds are DIFFERENT and so is the fan base and their expectations) And don't get me wrong I'm all for Strings & Atmospheric Music but that's just not what I listen to Coldplay for. Also I kind of understand the place the band is in right now and they wanna explore and experiment, but I really wish there was a way they could do that without losing their traditional audience, without breaking our hearts when all we want are songs of our music taste. The music taste that Coldplay albums defined over time. It still feels like a festival when a Coldplay album drops but albums like these are just not doing it. (Thank God it's better than MOTS!)
There is now a new Digital version with a complete new side with 3 new tracks, The Karate Kid, Man in the Moon and A Wave, a live versions feelslikeiamfallinginlove and All My Love, We Pray version where you can add your own personal verse of what you pray for but at the moment it's just the instrumental, longer version of Angel Song, Jupiter (Single Version), just the instrumental bit of Moon Music (Elodie it's called) and a piano version of I am a Mountain, you may want to react to that, it also has a new cover which is basically the same cover but instead of blue, it's pink and red sky background.
Coldplay represents plurality, energy, color, freedom, purity in lyrics and melodies. This album reflects everything I mentioned. Simple melodies, sweet lyrics and good energy. My suggestion: they could have included more tracks on the album (about 14 sung songs, for example) and perhaps some of these songs with arrangements and lyrics more focused on Slow Rock (as they did in the early days), with guitar solos and sounds from all the instruments the band members (Example: they did this in the song "Coloratura" on the previous album and the result was excellent). I realize that many Coldplay fans are clamoring for this and are upset and others are even outraged! But the band remains among the best and continues to be very successful due to its essential plurality.

It has an air of finality in that way. Appreciate your honest thoughts all the same bro!

I was lucky enough to go the an album listening event early in the cinema. I knew from the first minute of moon music that this would be euphoric; by the end of Jupiter I was welling up. Yeah they got a bit lazy with the la la la's but Jesus there were some beautiful songs on here

Right? Btw did you hear about the band " The Smile"( A band with thom yorke and jonny greenwood from radiohead) They have a fantastic catalogue so far. And their newest album came out in the same day Coldplay's newest came out.

I think the album is even more cohesive than MX. For me its the best album since MX. It almost couldve beaten MX if it had more bangers. To me the album is one if the better ones, but less peaks than MX. But for me this album has no bad songs/transitions, so there are no lows. MX had lows. I didnt like Ufo, they made Major Minus worse than live version, and DLIBYH was overproduced. Those were big lows in MX for me.
One world was such a shame. Beautiful middle ruined by classic Chris going off on one. He’s being doing that too much in the past several years… I also feel like they could have easily had a slightly longer single album combining the best bits of MotS and MM, and then it would have been way more cohesive and sounded great. Why not do a double space-themed album like EL, given that these two are meant to be a response to that?
this is very true - after listening a couple of times since, it feels like this album sits somewhere between being half baked, and then having some of their best and worst songs simultaneously. i do think that they may have left it a bit too long for this album too, in between this and MOTS, considering its basically a double album situation - you're so right, if they had the best parts of both albums, it would rival mylo xyloto or head full of dreams imho; they could make it a double album like everyday life like you said! for example: MOTS: P1 (MOTS) Higher Power Humankind Human Heart People of the Pride Biutyful Coloratura MOON MUSiC: P2 MOON MUSiC feelslikeimfallinginlove WE PRAY JUPiTER GOOD FEELiNGS RAiNBOW iAAM AETERNA again this would be in a different order i think dependent on which songs work well together in a running, but they'd be my choices - 16 songs like everyday life!! long comment, but i've given it some thought
@@zaharianedealcov6370 they haven’t sounded like a true band in many years. Compare Moon music to Viva la Vida. The sound of their last few albums have been more down to producers than the musicians.

gotta be one of their weakest albums, no quintessential coldplay. the band is not present. it might be cohesive from start to finish but no highlights whatsoever. this album couldn't even stand up next to a mediocre album like Head Full of Dreams. We Pray has a strong instrumental but by the time the guests come on, i want it to be over.
What? This album is the band's favourite since Viva la Vida and each member of the wrote different songs like Aeterna is Guys song, iAAM is Jonny's, All My Love is Chris's and Angel Song is Wills

I was lucky enough to go the an album listening event early in the cinema. I knew from the first minute of moon music that this would be euphoric; by the end of Jupiter I was welling up. Yeah they got a bit lazy with the la la la's but Jesus there were some beautiful songs on here
Also I love how iAAM is a brother record of death and all his friends
i am SO jealous oh my god
I KNEW IT WAS THIS SONG!!!!
@@josephjamesmusic_ Honestly listen to the guitar parts in both songs, I think that's another great part about this album. There's something in all the previous 9 in this one.
Now challenge for you goodsir, try and make your ideal best of Coldplay album. I would LOVE to watch that video
Keep up the good work!
oh my god that would be TOO hard - i will try my best
thank you for your video! I like GOOD FEELINGS, it is perfect disco style song for morning!
Viva la Vida, X&Y and AROBTTH, Top 3 Best Albums of Coldplay
I just want Parachutes 2.0 bruv..
that would be the dream
Right? Btw did you hear about the band " The Smile"( A band with thom yorke and jonny greenwood from radiohead) They have a fantastic catalogue so far. And their newest album came out in the same day Coldplay's newest came out.
i loveee radiohead, and i’ve been meaning to listen to the smile for a long time! i haven’t heard any of their stuff yet, but if you’re up for seeing a reaction, i will defo do that!
It took me a few listens, and even though there are a few tracks I do not like, I VERY much enjoy this album!
The end bit of one world is the luton song its a comedy song
i thought it was! i was there when they played that at luton!!
@@josephjamesmusic_if you were there, how can you have avoided feelslikeimfallinginlove if they played it there
they didn’t at the time! glastonbury was where they debuted the track
One world was such a shame. Beautiful middle ruined by classic Chris going off on one. He’s being doing that too much in the past several years…
I also feel like they could have easily had a slightly longer single album combining the best bits of MotS and MM, and then it would have been way more cohesive and sounded great. Why not do a double space-themed album like EL, given that these two are meant to be a response to that?
this is very true - after listening a couple of times since, it feels like this album sits somewhere between being half baked, and then having some of their best and worst songs simultaneously. i do think that they may have left it a bit too long for this album too, in between this and MOTS, considering its basically a double album situation - you're so right, if they had the best parts of both albums, it would rival mylo xyloto or head full of dreams imho; they could make it a double album like everyday life like you said!
for example:
MOTS: P1
(MOTS)
Higher Power
Humankind
Human Heart
People of the Pride
Biutyful
Coloratura
MOON MUSiC: P2
MOON MUSiC
feelslikeimfallinginlove
WE PRAY
JUPiTER
GOOD FEELiNGS
RAiNBOW
iAAM
AETERNA
again this would be in a different order i think dependent on which songs work well together in a running, but they'd be my choices - 16 songs like everyday life!! long comment, but i've given it some thought
@@josephjamesmusic_ they took longer on this because they wanted to be happy with it as they never were happy with MOTS
The band literally considers this album to be their best since Viva
One World was Brian Enos idea
MOTS is 5/10, 3 from coloratura😂, MM is 8/10
I’ve no doubt Chris plans to go solo after the next two Coldplay albums. If you think about it this album has more the feel of a solo album already.
you may well be right - they probably will all start their own separate ventures similar to radiohead i think
Without Buckland it will be shit
Tbh without all of them it will suck
@@zaharianedealcov6370 they haven’t sounded like a true band in many years. Compare Moon music to Viva la Vida. The sound of their last few albums have been more down to producers than the musicians.
@@PaulMurphyMusic Moon Music is the bands favourite album they have done alongside Viva la Vida
Could you react to the new voidz album?
Check out Karate Kid and Man in the Moon!
th-cam.com/video/FFTjElfJcyw/w-d-xo.html
Definitely better than MOTS but I feel MOTS was supposed to be as it was with the all new planets etc this is like the journey through space and then the next volume will be about stars
have they confirmed a vol 3?!
@@josephjamesmusic_ well the Easter egg for you is have you seen the higher power video? It says MOTS story in 3 parts, plus there set list on tour now is a hint eg. Planets-MOTS, moons- moon music, stars- vol 3 (album 11) and then home- album 12 called Coldplay ode to the roots 😇
aeterna is soo good
React to all versions of We Pray
A bit beige 😆🙈
gotta be one of their weakest albums, no quintessential coldplay. the band is not present. it might be cohesive from start to finish but no highlights whatsoever. this album couldn't even stand up next to a mediocre album like Head Full of Dreams.
Can you please react to Closest thing to Heaven by Tears for Fears , music video version please 😊
Opinions on AROBTTH Politik
top five on that album for me - one of their best imho
Oh my god it makes me so angry the way people adore Coldplay they are the most overrated boring band i have ever heard
So what do you like then?
@@benjamindavis4974 I'm sorry mate I was just having a bad day if you like Coldplay who am i to criticise i am just from a different time I am still stuck In the 1980s when it comes to music haha
@@benjamindavis4974 my sister and my eldest daughter love Coldplay and they watched them live in Perth Australia I will admit the stage show and lights and fireworks looks amazing reminds me abit of jean Michelle jar if I spelt it right
If Coldplay makes you so angry, maybe it’s because you can’t handle real talent. Calling them "boring" just shows how shallow your understanding of music is. They’ve been evolving and topping charts for over 25 years, creating masterpieces while you’re stuck hating on a band you clearly don’t get. Get over it.
@@thimgui listen soft ass you probably haven't even been alive that long to know what good music is probably born in the mid 90s or early 2000s when shit like Coldplay was coming out
“That’s my opinion!” MADE me hit Subscribe 😂
