Why ecs does not mechanize an adapter to convert the b5 to rwd instead of welding the central diff as other factories do with the subarus and evos?
It is a market that would be interesting and that is starting.
This video motivated me to rwd my b6 s4. With the b5 2.7t as the heart the thing shreds. Gonna weld the rear diff next. Sick build man! Please keep uploading!

I set up a rwd b5 back in 2013. Sold it in 2015... Currently setting up a b6 for this season.

I blew 2 transmissions in 1 month on my B5A4 because of my poor welding skills....i just couldn't get the center diff welded right and it broke apart twice..destroying 3 gear the first time and the 2nd time it blew a hole in the center diff case....i did all the work myself too which was a major pain and more than my pockets could handle....car is all parted out now.
Bare in mind the 150 from factory is a crank figure. The 247 shown there (unless calculated out by the machine) is at the wheels. 280 roughly at the crank 😁 nice gains
You know.. U can Use the A3 ECU in those 056 A4 with the Stock 3.8 DA ecu. So you can map it using the obd port :P

Does this have the AEB block? That would be awesome footage to see you build the motor for more power but still try and keep it reliable for a dd.

I got a 01 passat I’m ls swapping with a 4l60e trans what would you recommend I do for the rear end? Could I even keep the stock rear end or would I have to go with a solid rear axle and make coil over mounts??

Did you leave the inner CV joint cup in the transmission side connected? What keeps it from leaking fluid if not?
They're sealed in the transmission side. Only need to cup the bearings on the knuckle👍
What did you do to the Torsen to make it work?
I welded the gears on all three sides to lock it. Quattro will still work if you put the front axles back in.

U cut 3/4 inch off the top of the spindle where the tie rod sits? Or he cut the tie rod 3/4 inch. That was hard to see.

Also,front hubs when leaving that axle part in balance that shit right otherwise at high speeds u get this wobble like wheel is out of balance. But damn man awesome build

It would be rather dumb to remove the most important thing that makes 200 unique. Also car will drive poorly on street since its not designed to go RWD. Some folks like Karosschip have done it in past. Look him up, results are really subjective.

The B5 came with a 5 cylinder only if you bought it as a Volkswagen Passat in Europe. The A4 only received 1.9TDI, 2.8 and 1.8T options iirc. Both the Passat, A4, and Skoda Superb shared platforms and engines
No he's looking at the 5 valve logo and thinking its a 5 cylinder. Its a inline 4. 5 valves

@@v6tex came with 1.6..1.8..1.8t..2.7t petrol..1.9tdi..2.5tdi..b5 never had 5 cylinder...b5 is chassis type..Audi 80 before was b4...Audi after b5 was b6 etc..b7..b8 ..b9...Passat never had 5 pot

Only in reverse. Any more and I'm sure I'll be running into it, at least with stock control arms. Tubular single piece upper and lowers soon to come.

stock turbo or what? I got a RS6 46/62 in a K04X (XS Power makes them for $475) on 440s. Insta 20 psi! and she makes ~300. I have the original block still, 180 psi on all 4 and less than 5% leakdown if i remember correctly. I've bent a rod, dropped a valve, bent 3 valves, ruined 1 head (from dropping a valve) and it was all MY FAULT! but i now im well off and have an AWP head from an 04 GTI/jetta or something, cant remember. AWP software VAG - HS 06A aka small port.

accualy he pointed wrong bolts for torsen , how odd, even if they did it this way they did it wrog because you unscrew cover behind driveshaft flange, thats why torsen case looks like its drowning with gear oil LOL
