- Penguin, a relatively Young Adult Hatzegopteryx, was roaming her territory when she spotted a Barsboldia family crossing the water. After confirming what she saw, she swooped down and plucked the one that was swimming the slowest from the water and dropped it into an early grave.

Nice realism gameplay. People are mad for you killing the baby but this seems to be a realism server (at least from what I can tell) Hatz is designed to kill babies and smaller dinos, its designed to swoop in, grab something, and then drop it from the sky. Cant be mad at em for doing what the dinosaur is supposed to do.

@@chipnrollin that server there is a body down rule, since it killed my baby, I couldn’t just attack it after, I had to let it eat. The only reason I body guarded for a second is because there’s also a rule where you can do that for only up to a minute, it’s for realism purposes, like the parent wouldn’t realise the baby is dead yet.

This can realy make a who new level of realisim making it more challenging for parents so they have to stay close to thier young when raising them

@@geckogaming3658this appears to be a realism server (PT realism if I’m correct), bars can protect their dead babies for up to two body lengths for one minute; think kinda how a mother elephant would protect the corpse of her baby; they don’t realize it’s dead for awhile so in this server they get to play out that behavior!

@@Balloon73822 well yes, of course, but it would be impractical to play that out; I think I’ve heard elephants can defend for a day or sometimes more before they realize their baby is dead
It’s still really cool to be able to play out that behavior; all be it in a much lesser form/time period
Is it’s PT Realism I’m curious about your females territory! Would hatzs have to nest close to water so would your offspring be nested near that river?
I would think it smart to do so, as the nesting that brought me in had none and I nearly died of dehydration before I could fly. My Terri consists of Snake and Rainbow, with my nesting site generally being in Rainbow as it has 2 spawn corpses in both seasons and a water source

Do you have to be full adult with hatz to be able to pick up babies like that?? I’m sub adult and still can’t do it.
Also, how come I can’t disturb burrows with the hatz?
The burrow thing is either a bug or somebody has already dug the creature out recently. A fully grown hatz can pick up dinos with ~3100 combat weight. This means pachy, laten, deinonychus, and maybe struthiomimus. The bars in this video were very young and light, so one was able to be grabbed.
Edit: There are other dinos you can pick up no matter their growth, but you can pick up any dino light enough and that doesn't have Slick Scales (an ability that prevents you from being grabbed or pounced on)
@@probablyaveteran they got rid of that just being unable to be grabbed just for not for very long yeah and a adult ano weighs 3200 and cant be picked up a struthy is 1100 and a lats is 1200 so they obv can i think anything under 3000 but all babies can be

Realism server seems fun unlike other server. Everyone in the other server are mindless kosers with mob killing mentality. I was minding my own business as a herb and another herb attacked me out of blue because why not. We fought and he was losing so he ran away and of course I chased after him and other dinos thought I was trying to kill him so they all ganged up on me and that happened to me many times.
Usually i hate on this kind of behavior but you were hungry and the Hatz is designed for this so I understand

An opportunity for food cannot be passed as an animal dosent know when it will get its next meal, as it's most likely a realism server they are playing on based on the description and bars behavior, it's understandable that they hunted it.

I don’t 100% why people baby kill, but what IS stupid is the bars body-guarding. Baby killing kinda makes sense, some dinosaurs lies hatz are made to kill babies

Hatz showed it's a threat to the group. Letting the hatz eat, recover, etc without any resistance would be stupid.
If you're playing the "realistic" route, many animals don't just let you chill and eat their group members. Go kill a baby Buffalo and see if the rest of the herd just let you casually eat it.
If you're playing the non realism way, you know that the hatz is either looking for food, or just being a bit of a jerk. In either case, it's not really dumb to given the hatz seemed like the only threat.
