WW2 GERMAN HELMET

A very rare original world war 2 German duble decal LUFTWAFFE helmet in a size Q64- batch number DN 3765, made by the famous Quist factory. This is the only German helmet factory that continued to make the M40 well into 1944 and only switched to producing the M42 in the final months of the war, hence its rarity. This is a true collectable in any condition and this one is as solid as the day it was made.

he made a few mistakes but that dosent mater they are all nice helmets and i would love to have them in my collection
evry body makes mistakes i think that most people are just jelly hehe

I know what to look for
Fakes always have either the wrong shape, no markings, and the vent holes are too big.
Paint and decal wise, fake decals often have small differences you can find if you look close enough and paint wise, that is just a matter of comparison

I have 3 helmets like those , 2 of them found in trash or ruins ! I restrored them but i still wait the liners to be shipped !

The Heer helmet isn't a M40.That one is a M42 with the unrolled edges and stamped air vent.The M40 was the same but it had rolled edges....Nice helmets you got!!

1:54 that is an M42 and it is NOT Navy. It is a Heer helmet with a toned decal. Nice but not very rare either..

It's not that rare. It's a simple Luftwaffe DD. ..no biggie. It's a nice lid though.

It is not "very rare". I can buy these helmets all day long. The decal on the M42 is most likely a Heer decal toned by the lacquer.
