Amazing History of WIndsurfing

At a German Trade Show in 1996-7, shortly after my article on the "Origins of Windsurfing" came out in American Windsurfer Magazine, Svein Rasmussen asked me if I had a way to contact Jim Drake. I said sure and dialed his L.A. home number. I remember how astounded Jim was to receive a call from Germany and when I informed him that a special friend wanted to talk to him. The rest is history.
Forty years later, I met his son David, who now champions his father's legacy. I want to thank Svein and the Starboard team for inviting my wife and me to a recent Dealer's Meeting in Hood River, Oregon, and witness this Amazing History of Windsurfing.
