The Whitley Bay game you can see adverts for Spanish City,the fairground mentioned in Dire Straits "Tunnel of Love" song. Whitley Bay itself also mentioned in the song.
Whitley had a good Umbro strip there. Almost made them look like Sheffield Wednesday.

The early rounds of the FA Cup used to be so amazing. So many none league teams achieved success. The draw for the third round was always a major highlight of the season...oh the good old days
