8:45 i notice these racequeen.. this racequeen in the picture is was based or inspired on the real life racequeen called KURE Racing team in the left Fumika Suzuki and in the right is Chie Goto/Chinatsu Yoshinaga.. instead of KURE they changed into Jaleco logo...
it's hard to believe this but i recently discovered that shibuya is accurately mapped it starts in front of shibuya crossing -> jingu-dori st -> turn right to meiji-dori st -> left to miyamasu-zaka -> hard right into aoyama-dori ave -> merge into ropoongi-dori ave by the underpass -> right back into jingu-dori st in front of shibuya station
Looks like a combination of Ridge Racer and Gran Turismo...... The cars are indeed real. The car used looks like a Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33). Tha AI cars I see look like the Toyota Supra, 300ZX, and a Mazda RX7 (FD)... The second track is definitely Tsukuba Circuit, since I remember it from Gran Turismo 6. As for the game itself, it looks like it has some serious issues with the steering physics....
Saturn Memories Yeah. Sega Rally is was pretty impressive for Model 2 as well. But I wish Sega would have did better with the port for PC. It's the same as Saturn graphically...
welshfinn1 It is, in this video it’s running at a much higher resolution than normal, probably 1080p. Originally it would’ve run at 496x384, a significantly lower resolution which is just over a third of 1080p. 496x384 leads to some giant pixels but I kinda love the way it looks.
I used 4 main vehicles and always stuck at 'City' track. Using NSX, for me was a good choice. However, encountering 'City' track was absolutely a nightmare because it lacks at 'Top Speed'.
well, im glad you mentioned it, because my car turned into a fking pinball after attempting to drift in those super tight turns, its nearly impossible unless youre driving at less than 100 kmh.
how did you fix the attract screen for this? I’m finding when I run this on the model 2 emulator it’s just a blank light blue screen with only ‘press start’ visible
it's weird that they got a permission for putting bunch of real logos from aftermarkets and car manufacturers (even lucky strike!) but doesn't use any real cars for the game.

Houki Chan umm yes of course.
When i saw that scene and yes the costume was looks familar to the real life kure racequeens..
Course 1: Yokohama Docks
Course 2: Tsukuba Circuit
Course 3: Hakone
Final Course: Shibuya
shibuya is giving me nightmares....
That bring me back some good memories

It's pretty difficult to end a drift. It might be an emulation issue, but I'm not sure. It is a Jaleco game after all, heh.
Saturn Memories Yeah...
But it looks pretty impressive for 1997.
ViableNutria7972 It's a neat game, but it's not really a leap over anything Sega and Namco had already done as far back as 1993.
Saturn Memories Yeah.

I played Japanese ver. of this game.
1st track is Odaiba, 2nd track is Tsukuba Circuit, 3rd track is Hakone, and Final track is Shibuya.
Tsukuba!
It seems remarkably high-res. Great game!
welshfinn1 Model 2 games generally upscale very well.

is this game based off of the manga over rev? I mean everything just about lines up yet I can't find anything to say it is
I don't think so. The manga's publisher would almost certainly be in the attract mode or credits if that were the case.
Over REV is also created by the same game studio as Super GT 24h.
It's ridiculous how huge advantage the 1st car gets right after the start. Just look at the circuit map.
N2144 Probably in arcade cabinets certain people won't have agility to reach the goals, that's why
Track 2 is literally Tsukuba Circuit.
FINAL reminds me of Tokyo R246 from Gran Turismo.....
The final course is Shibuya.
Why are all saturn racing games so short
This is arcade though
Saturn didn't really have an answer to the lengthy career modes of games like Gran Turismo 1 and 2, or even Ridge Racer Type 4. It's a bit of a shame.

It only does that when you've got a credit in the machine. get a game over, don't put in a coin, and it'll play the attract
@@Kaceydotme I see, I have most of the games including this one set to free play, would that be any different?
it's weird that they got a permission for putting bunch of real logos from aftermarkets and car manufacturers (even lucky strike!) but doesn't use any real cars for the game.
Such as Yokohama Advan tires, Bridgestone, etc.
Way better than sega gt on DC
totally fking agreed
It combined ridge racer and Highway 2000.
1:24 Donald duck
Did you lower the difficulty?
Scott Robson Default settings.
I was just surprised that you won because you hit a lot of things.
Scott Robson The steering is pretty terrible.
1:26
Looks like this game get a license to use product placements such as Lucky Strike cigarettes, Bridgestone and Yokohama Advan tires.
Emulable?
Why is the Supra like that
1:24 donald duck???
"always-u fan to pway, jelaco" i dont no why i hear that i just do, maybe its an accent,
Zag TheEquivalent Well, it's supposed to be "always fun to play," but I get what you mean. :P
yeah i know lol
Saturn Memories It's a phrase of hope...
I hear it as "Always a fun-ti play!".
GT-R
manual sucks in this game?
