I love the fact this is in Judgement along with other arcade-ports in the Yakuza series, but damn, it also makes you disgruntled knowing Sega could release more of these exclusives as a compilation like they do with the Genesis all the time. I want Ocean Hunter in Yakuza 7 damn it!
I think it's just me but the Sega attract screen logo just looks so clean! I don't recall many other arcade games doing much with the Sega logo besides Star Wars Racer Arcade. Let's now return to our regularly scheduled program. 😅
I will never understand why this game didn't take off and we haven't had eleven sequels. It's F-Zero meets Road Rash! How dark is the timeline we live in where that isn't a perfect combination?
This game looks awesome for a Model2 (it almost looks like a NAOMI/Dreamcast game!) I guess it works on the last revision of said hardware. Good playing as usual!
Oh snaps!! I remember this game at the old school Gameworks in Vegas that used to be on the Strip and I could never figure out the name. Thanks for posting this. You rock!!! This was like Sega's version of Road Rash.
O SHIT, you bringing back some weird memories of that one crazy motobike cabinet back in my parent's home country at this place called Alegria. The place had a bunch of old arcade machines (probably from import), and this one was way too much for my 6 year old to handle. It didn't help that I was too small to tip the seat or to press the attack buttons. Too bad they renovated, but they got a bigger crowd now. Glad to see a weird fragment of my childhood here.
I distinctly remember as a kid that hearing the inro screen and all the sound effects used scared me a lot as a child but I was always enthralled by the gameplay. Between all the laughing, unnatural movement, dark environments, and soundtrack I can kind of see why.
For those interested in the music/soundtrack but can't find it anywhere, here is the Soundtrack of Motor Raid on this playlist. th-cam.com/play/PLNeeIRrlfkL5W83VXczSKRDXGaBJMouQV.html There is also a link on the videos to download all the music on MP3 in a zip.
+Saturn Memories Oh, ok thanks. When I tried to use another kind of links to comment youtube didn't allow me but I knew using youtube links was (apparently) allowed since I could comment with them.
TheArcadeStriker If I had to guess, Google doesn't want smaller channels spamming larger ones with links to their own channel. Personally, I don't mind so long as the link is related to the video it's posted under. :)
@@ifrit35 Late comment i know. But have you tried it on the PS4? It's amazing. I'm so happy Sega released it as a arcade game, in the PS4 game Judgment.
One question, to get the ending of the description of the character at the end you need to get a SSS on the player rank at the end or you just need to finish Segal on 1st?
You got a very good score here! I liked this game but before I never got to play it well because of the turbo thing. (The only thing that worked is to mash the accel button until the turbo started) Now I mapped the accel to my PS2 analog stick and it works great! Its more enjoyable when you can activate the turbo (and ram everyone) than just mash the button if it luckily activates.
+Saturn Memories Yeah. Well, the furthest I could get on the tracks is until Bowel. I only got there one time and I got second :l Are you using keyboard+mouse or any gamepad or something?
Hah, really? I wasn't even happy with this run (didn't navigate those last few turns on Bowel very well). Kept trying to top it, but the best the best I could consistently pull off was 2nd on Segal.
+Bammer2001 +Saturn Memories his score was higher mainly because he played with longer championship races.. compare my laps to his.. so its much easier to score higher as its more laps
I've always wanted to play the real arcade machine of this; it visually is attractive for a Model 2 game. Manx TT is okay, but seems virtually impossible to win the expert course. This would have been a good money maker in high-end arcades I reckon.
You gotta rev the accelerator to do the turbo, so double-tap right trigger if you're using a controller. Lock-on requires you to hold down a button, but I can't remember which one.
@@SaturnMemories Hold the punch key to lock-on, then release to throw the weapon. If you don't have any weapon, your character's unique weapon will do the sweeping for you up-close.
Daytona, Motor Raid, Sega Ski Super G, and Sega Water Ski are the first to come to mind. Heck, he appeared in a System 32 game (Rad Mobile) before his own game even released. Sarah and Pai from the Virtua Fighter franchise also shows up in a few other games from this era as well.
Judgement has this game. It's pretty good
I want to live in an arcade full of just AM2 games.
This game was by Sega AM1 lol
@@noodlebowl8890 I’m playing this game through lost judgement lol
Celebrating the fact that this game is finally getting a home port for the ps4!
Twon Games Yes, but added in Judgement (Judge Eyes in Japan)
@@MusicaFullbuster
Still better than nothing. At least SEGA finally acknowledged it's existence.
@@LermaBean they should acknowledge sega rally already

Mr. Vidja Gamez Also Daytona USA, Sega Super GT (Scud Race) and Daytona USA 2 in Yakuza 7.
Sega needs to remaster this, I have had so many memories playing this game.

Game: Motor Raid
Mode: Championship
Route: 1st Place Only (Yendas, Junos, Bowel, Segal)
Character: Geila
Rank: SSS (22,538 Points)
Player: Saturn Memories (SM.)
I will never understand why this game didn't take off and we haven't had eleven sequels. It's F-Zero meets Road Rash! How dark is the timeline we live in where that isn't a perfect combination?
it's like a mix of wipeout and roadrash
Especially Road Rash
Best SEGA logo intro
This game looks awesome for a Model2 (it almost looks like a NAOMI/Dreamcast game!) I guess it works on the last revision of said hardware.
Good playing as usual!
I am 5 years late, but yes! This runs on the Model 2A board :)
Oh snaps!! I remember this game at the old school Gameworks in Vegas that used to be on the Strip and I could never figure out the name. Thanks for posting this. You rock!!! This was like Sega's version of Road Rash.
Manx TT from Hell.
Back when Sega was blowing the doors off of other companies.
When it came to their arcade games that is. Not so much their home consoles though...
If Extreme-G and Road Rash have a baby, then it would be this game.
Surfiken thats whats I was thinking, it's much like extreme - g but instead has melee weapons

I wonder how many Manx TT superbike cabinets were ruined with this 'update'
0:22 - Intro
The more I see this game, the more I think it's the lovechild of Road Rash and WipEout
And here's me thinking Reef 8 was the final stage :) I haven't even seen Bowel or Segal.
In case you didn’t know, you get Bowel for placing first in Stages 1 and 2, and Segal is unlocked by getting 1st in Bowel.
Sega is magic for everyone
Man i love this game!!
Play, Road Rédemption ... ;-)
Reminds me Road Rash.
The best SEGA Motor Raid racing arcade game ever!
Geila had the coolest bike with the extended fork.
Also his voice sounds non-human.
This is an interesting design
This game is like Wipeout, if halfway through development, Psygnosis got fired and replaced by AM2.
1:06 That sound reminds me of the Rally de Europe game for PS1 when i was choosing a car.
I distinctly remember as a kid that hearing the inro screen and all the sound effects used scared me a lot as a child but I was always enthralled by the gameplay.

imagine a remake of this in VR
Player: Putan (Green Team)
Motor Raid Arcade Longplay
1st Rank SSS (22,538 Points)

Reminds me of fzero but with weapons.
Like WipEout?

Now I know why I'm a technohead nowadays
I used to play the game at the local theater and man my wrist suffered a lot
Road Rash: Future edition
to bad it never got a port!!!! lot of arcade games from the 90s never got ported to consoles!
tHeWasTeDYouTh It’s in Judge Eyes (Judgement) on PS4.
This game should come to Xbox Live Arcade.
This game, Scud Race, there are plenty of 90s arcade games that never got released on consoles. I don't know what Sega is waiting for.
I hope It comes a remastered. Imagine : Motor Raid: Re-revved

some of the sound effects remind me of Quake

oh this game was awesome back in the days i have played it on the arcade machine now idk if buy one for 2500$
I imagine it's fairly uncommon, being a Manx TT conversion kit and all.
