One of the greatest shows that I saw on video was "THREE PICKERS" with Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson, & Ricky Skaggs. I love watching it over and over.

Yeah Ricky makes sense about that church smell . The old wooden pews . My Dad played in a gospel strong band and a lot of old churches back in the 70’s and to this day I get that smell once in a while visiting churches .

Funny Ricky said that, because after touring the Ryman and getting outside, the first thing I said was, "I feel like I just got out of church!"

I went years ago. And I got to touch the stage and I started thinking oh my God Ricky Skaggs has been on here Hank Williams being on here it's like I could feel their presence is all those memories I will never forget you till the day I die I'll never forget that what a great experience. This was in the early nineties I went with a group of people from a program that I was in.

Thank you for this video. It was interesting to hear more about The Ryman that I have heard mentioned so many times over the years in connection with Country music and The Opry. I wonder if anyone else found it strange to see a framed poster on the wall that mentions The Monkees.

Ricky Skaggs should be the patron saint of the mandolin seeing that he's never seen without one.

My thoughts exactly ..maybe it's because we remember him from the 80s with brown hair and thinner..

Pretty sure it's the hair all gown out. First time I saw a photo of Ricky with the hair and beard grown out, I didn't recognize him. But what a national treasure he is.
