My tv didn’t have the multicolored lines in it. It only showed a black screen. It still wouldn’t hurt to try the bulb change . This way it will work or you can rule it out.

If red lamp is blinking something else is wrong,probably the power board I am having the same problems,this was repaired 3 yrs ago seems to be a problem with this and a frew other brands,type in power board for more info.
Go to menu than scroll down to settings than scroll down to setup than go all the way down to lamp replacement. You'll have to reset it other wise it still thinks it's the old bulb in side.

Bruh, my son just bought a used KDF-46e2000 looks jusssssst like yours, same spot for the bulb and everything....my question is, was your TV showing a blank screen, meaning it wouldn't come on at all, with the power led blinking thrice in intervals?
Greetings I did the same thing as you replaced the bulb and it still does not turn on, it flashes green and then it changes to red. It's worth noting that I lost the inside cover, I do not know if that has something to do
Rolando I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. If you performed the bulb change as I did, it may be more than just the bulb. I suggest contacting a tv tech. I hope this helps.
Can you help please. I've tried about ten times and still getting the blinking red light. What's the trick to getting that lamp seated in there just right? Do you pull up on the handle after or before pushing it all the way in? Also, am I supposed to hear it click?
Hello Kendra, sorry for the delayed response. The new bulb should easily sit in the position. You are to pull up on the handle after pushing it in all the way. I honestly can't remember a click.
You have to make sure the security switches are being activated. There’s one in the right-down corner of the lamp and another one o the right side of the security door.

When I turn on the TV the green light blinks twice normally and then proceeds to continue blinking for over 50+ times (it's not even worth counting how many times it blinks). I replaced the lamp thinking this was the issue, but I can't find any information in the manual or on the internet for this specific issue. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Any help is appreciated!!
I would contact the manufacturer via email.. I had a problem with my Sony TV and got an almost immediate response. Turned out it was "operator error" haha!! Good luck to you!!

chance talbot, the bulb and the lamp is possibly the same unless it's a different television. If you are getting sound and a black pic, it may be your issue. I'm not certain if that's your problem, but it's where I would start.

what brand did u use for the replacement lamp? how long did last?
I’m not suet but I think it was a Sylvania.
It lasted until my tv died of pixel lost about 4 years

Animal Crossing forever just remove the the 1 screw on the handle behind the cover. That screw just keeps the handle nice and tight
