Yes kids it is a very steep walk up to the Cristo statue. I'm a SF boy married to a Nica girl, was last in San Juan del Sur in 2018. We were there for 5 days and walked up there every day. Going back this year 2022 for a wedding in Managua in November will be doing that walk again. Looking forward to it....
I love my country has a lot of awesome places where you guys can go and have a great time with your family thank you all for visiting Nicaragua hope to see y'all again...bye...
What a wonderful childhood you are giving your kids. They will be so much better than the IPOD or Video Player crowd & their designer shoes. Congrats Mom & thank you for the wonderful videos of your trips. Is it safe to say you found one of your favourite towns of your trip? (San Juan del sur?)
This video is amazing! I think is the best produced, narrative and editing one since now. All are great but this one was like watching a BBC documental! I never get bored even a second. Congratulations you're doing a great job in youtube!
Beautiful family l loved the video l lived in Canada but one day l liked to visited San Juan del sur because my daughter very soon moved there enjoy this video thanks enjoy

Wow!! Gorgeous.... I loved the remoteness & non-tourist vibe. And the photography & music were fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing your experience :)
Thank you for sharing your travels with us. I was particularly interested in Nicaragua because my son and his family have been living there since Dec. '20. They are in San Juan del Sur but have done some travelling in other destinations like you have. I'm watching from my armchair during covid-19 from Peterborough, Ontario.

28:41 Someone's running off to do some surfing! 😊 Enjoyable and beautiful place with great views of the sunset. Just take care when having fun - jellyfish and surfboards can be a little mean sometimes!
We did too! There's the main stream places and then there is San Juan. We were just saying this today as we were swimming in the beautiful Med with the most amazing blue waters in Egypt then Julia said but this Nicaragua was still as epic because of how rustic and unique it is.
Watching your Vids with a Cup Of Coffee! Randomly saw your Vlog this morning in my feeds and I’m hooked! Keep it up and safe travels to this adventurous family! ❤️ #subscribed ✔️
Those jelly fish suck. Good surfing Chloe. They are surfers for sure and have the bumps and bruises and cuts to prove it!!! Love this video, what a nice place. You are missing Maple syrup season here in Ontario, but i would trade that for the beach with horses and cows and longer grass any day. That water park thing looked fun too!!!
Yeah, thankfully we found ourselves some maple syrup. :) There's actually a really nice Canadian couple who opened a bar in San Juan and they even serve pancakes with real maple syrup! So glad you enjoyed the video!
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders Are you Canadian? We are moving out of Ontario as soon as the border opens. We were supposed to be in New Zealand right now in order to move there, but have looked at SJDS in the past and are reconsidering it again for various reasons. Your video is great. What time of year and what was the climate like? Very humid? Mosquitos bad? We are looking at a place up in the hills about 20 minutes northeast of the village.

Your videos are real to life. There are a lot of people doing these kinds of videos. I enjoy yours the best!
A GREAT video!!! I've found the market is not the cheapest place around. I find (& have heard from many) that they often Gringo Gouge the non regulars. I love the guys across from the Malecon & around the corner 1-1/2 blocks up the bright green place that sells fruits & veggies to have the best prices.

My Wife and I are thinking very seriously about moving to San Juan Del sir and we have an eight year old daughter. We know that there is a school there and that it fills up quickly. What did you do to keep your kids in school while you are traveling?
On the beach at night drinking beer with music and fireworks in the background , if you didn't know any better that could be July 4th in the States lol !
Could you tell us what month of the year you were in San Juan Del Sur ? We will be there in February and are hoping to have the great weather you had. Thanks for your time.
Having just come from there, I can tell you there are 2 sides to SJDS. The beach is nice, there are nice places on the beach front. The hotels and hostels are nice. The people are very friendly, the prices are low and nearby shops are also nice. The other side is there is a lot of trash strewn about, there are a fair amount of beggars and the beach vendors are everywhere. There are sewers under the sidewalks and man do they stink - it will really turn your stomach. SJDS is a great ground floor investors opportunity but the infrastructure is in really bad shape.
Where are from mom? Are you a Canadian or American? You sound like a California girl ? I maybe wrong? Anyway thank you for sharing your videos in 🇳🇮 Nicaragua... Such a beautiful country that God created in Central America👍 you see we have beautiful beaches, volcanoes, parks, cities, towns, villages, lake, lagoons you name it.👍 And very warm and hospitality people you won't find in the entire 🌎 world Asi somos los " 🇳🇮 Nicas jodido" That's the way Nicas are... Proof of that is that the Nica couple invite you with your friends from New Zealand to spend a day over the place they rented at Coco Beach/ Cocunut Beach - Playa Coco.. The reason why San Juan del Sur Bay doesn't have Walmart , fancy restaurants and stores to shop is because there are not many investors there. But I believe one day there will a huge luxury town and very expensive to live. My parents told me that there was not even nothing 30 yrs ago. Now at least there are some good hotels and nice restaurants there. I hope you will continue visiting our beautiful land where every tourist feels like they are home.😎🙋
